FINALLY! A Japanese version of Hanakimi!!! I'm so glad they got Maki to play Mizuki! I think she can pull off looking like a bishounen ^^ No offense to the TW version, but I really wanted someone more delicate and pretty to play Mizuki. I could think of so many other pretty boys to play Sano, Nakatsu, Nanba and Umeda sensei, but Shun and Toma are in, so I can't complain

according to the official artbook, the colors of their uniform are this: cream vest/sweater with maroon accent, maroon tie, white shirt, and black and white houndstooth (think Burberry-like) pants, with a cream colored jacket.

Maybe they changed the colors because blue stands out more on camera?

i just read the entries in the Hana Kimi threads in 2ch and looks like there are already a lot of Anti fans.

people cant help but compare it to HYD, they said Hana Kimi was hastily made in order to ride on the popularity of HYD. people are also criticizing the guys in the series, they said they are not Ikemen enough, unlike the guys in Gokusen 2.
on the positive note, a lot of people are also supporting the series, especially Shun as Sano and Mizushima as Namba.

i still hope this series will be at par with HYD and Nodame, and top the ratings for the summer dramas.

a lot of bishounen in this drama. as far as criticisms are concerned, let's save it until we actually get a glimpse of the drama.

shun has a pretty long list of movies/dramas behind him and maki is not so bad either. and of course with toma, i'm biased

but Maki is so hot as a guy.

anybody can mistake him for a real guy--a really CUTE GUY.

my only complaint on casting is kyo nobuo. the one to the bottom left of toma ikuta in the poster if you aren;t familiar with him.
don't get me wrong, i adore this guy to death. but i think he looks his age, and therefore looks a little too old to be a student. hes cast as himejima, the third dorm leader. but i do think he will do a great job in this role.
i think he would have made a perfect umeda (school doctor) though!
