Hey guys! A new summer drama starring Rosa Kato and Shota Matsuda is airing July 13th. It's supposedly another manga adaptation. Can't believe Shota is starring in yet another drama!

Quick trivia--> For people who do not know who Rosa Kato is, she's the chick who's dating Tamiki Hiroshi (the uber hot guy from Nodame Cantabile)

Think Yaoh meets Kuroi Taiyou meets Jyouh and you'll get Jotei. The main character is a young girl who becomes a cabaret hostess when her formerly carefree life is disrupted. Aspiring to pay those who hurt her family back with their own coin, she gets into the cabaret hostess world to get money & power. Shota stars as the guy who protects and helps her along the course (essentially just replace Erika of Liar Game and replace it with Kato Rosa for Jotei and Shota's function in both dramas is more or less the same).

I second the hope that someone is going to sub this. I adore Matsuda Shota and have been convinced since HYD2 that he's absolutely got the acting chops to easily surpass his brother, given half a chance. Can't wait to see him in this role!

OMG thats Rosa Kato?! i couldn't recognize her. she looks so different from how she looked like in Tsubasa No Oreta Tenshitachi 2. im glad she's finally getting a leading role. and the plot sounds interesting.

For me it an definitely Must-Watch. Let's see how Shota handles an yakuza role... Don't really like his hair, maoh, but I think it's gonna be interesting - hopefully a little bit more romantic than LIAR GAME, in which Shota was really good regarding acting^^

I agree with you. But maybe is a faked one, I hope so. But it fits to a yakuza, right?

Maybe we're going to sub this, but we still need a translator and it isn't 100% decided yet. But at least 80%. Just looking for a Japanese into English/German translator and - if possible - an uploader and someone with sfx experience. Maybe there's someone under us Matsuda Shota-Fans who'd help us?

Anyway, I think I'm gonna make an official announment after getting a green light from above.

Somehow the story didin´t have interrest to me! So...

I see movies! The last one was Otakus in Love ( i was dissapointed it was boring... ) I am downloanding another movie but i can´t remeber the name i know he is in Jail! hehe
Some of his movies are very weird...

I liked alot is acting in Nana but he wwas replaced in the second movie!

Blue spring it was another great movie! along with Gohatto ( that was the first movie i saw of him )

So....BACK ON TOPIC...about Jotei...

I'm excited to see Kota Rosa in this drama! What a change from when I saw her play the innocent Futaba in "Dance Drill"! But pairing her up with Matsuda Shota is a dream-come-true for me!

I'm sooo looking forward to seeing this drama!

F##########k, plot seemed A+. Meh, I will watch for myself in 20min. What sucked about it though?

EDIT: Gotta agree. Granted that my jap isn't stunning so the script might be completely ~amazing~, but the drama's pacing was soooooo dreadfully slow (they could've just opened with her at the club imo) and rosa kato is....I dunno. There's something about her and her stagnant facial expressions that I just find incredibly, incredibly uninteresting. As a quirky minor character she might've been alright, but a LEAD ROLE? Opposite Matsuda Shota? No offense girl, I know this is your career, but I hope you don't get too many gold-plated drama opportunities after this.

I concur! This has to go down as the worst pilot epi of the season. Acting's horrible sans Shota (but then even Shota wasn't as outstanding as he was in Lair Game and whatever few moments he had in HYD). Plot's ridiculous and unlike dramas from the same series Yaoh and Jyou... Jotei attempts to treat itself too seriously unlike the other 2. It's a very cheap production which attempts to be something out of its league but failed miserably.

I watched the first episode and I didn't think it was that bad actually, but do agree it was a little slow. Hopefullly things will heat up as the story goes on. This drama reminds me of some of the angsty and serious dramas I watched back in the nineties.
I agree with the above post that Kato Rosa seems a out of place in this drama. I just wasn't moved by her acting... but maybe she'll improve. I admit though that I originally tuned in to watch Matsuda Shota!

Also I took a rapid eye on this first episode. It seemed serious yes. But we can't forget that it's not a comedy or anything like that. The plot is so thoughtful and we need to have more time to handle it. By the way the rating is not yet available.

Anyway, Matsuda shota is so cute in it (the scene with the bath towel is so

"intense"

LOL

.. And Rosa Kato (I never see her acting...) but I will let her a chance to surprise me.

P.S. I watched the 1st episode . I don't understand how people can say that it's bad. Definitively i'm already hooked.

Even if I can't understand japanese!!
