ive started the thread for Yukan Club, and i think a lot of people are excited to see this because it's Akanishi Jin's comeback drama after 2 years.
info on the Yukan Club manga:
There's always a student council in every school. Even at St. President High School, where future leaders and society's best are educated. But, what exactly would 6 young members of the student council of President High School do in their spare time?
Oh, they dance, play igo, sing, solve a fake jewelry case, catch an international drug smuggler, sail to gamble in Las Vegas, and help kidnap one of their members. And that's just some stories from the first two volumes! Isn't that exciting?
Their parents are just as exciting as they are. One of their parents blow up a police headquarters and then rebuilts it later! And one of their parents is actually a top official that worked in the said headquarters!

thanks for the added info! i think Shirota Yuu will definitely fit the character of Bidou Grandmarnier. i hope he will be in the cast so that he can work with his buddy Jin.

Ah, I don't like any of those people, except for Toma and Jin. Iwasa Mayuko can't act (though I suppose she has improved over time). It'll be nice to see Ikuta Toma again, but gah, it would make it seem a lot like a "Hana Kimi: the Spinoff"... :S

i really hope they will get the right actors to play Yuri and Seichiro, because these two are the leads in the manga. apparently, Seichiro will be played by another JE actor, either by Yokoyama, Nishikido or Junno.
Toma is now unlikely because he may be casted in Ueto Aya's Abarenbo Mama and he has a stage play this Oct.
Noriko's character is the easiest to cast and a lot of people in 2ch would like too see Maki Horikita, Kashii Yuu or Aragaki Yui , but it seems Kurokawa Tomoka may get the role.

agree........with great performances in hanakimi toma deserve to get lead role....maybe winter season.... *crossfinger* i like to see him in romantic comedy......

It seems that this will be the no 1 drama to follow this upcoming season! It has it all a prestigious high school, club activities and Jin as the lead! I wonder if he will have the spiky hairstyle in the drama? Well Jin looks good in any hairstyle! It's exciting and since both Love Song and Nya! have picked it up we will have great quality subs as well! Hooray!

Rumors are just rumors, but i wouldn't count Toma in; i have heard he will beguin in theatre as soon as he finishes Hanakimi and has already another dorama awaiting.
I don't know if you noticed this but latelly there is this tendency to have no more than 2 Je members so choose carefully!

I was just thinking that when watching HanaKimi 10 today. Maki's hair is so short now, I wonder if it will get long enough in time to film the Kurosagi movie? Though it wouldn't change the story if Tsurara got a haircut it might be weird. Or I guess they could give her extensions.

well I dun't mind if there isn't romance cuz detective serie usually doesn't have such thing & I'm glad ^__^ I want it to focus on the cases & friendship is the best.. romance alwayz makes things more complicated & it's unnecessary for a mystery detective story.

Yeah, I agree. Ikuta Toma has that theatre production to worry about, doesn't he? I hope they pick a good supporting cast. Somebody like Miura Haruma could be nice.
I'm personally glad it's a detective-ish drama (though there's already another one in the fall season, Tantei Gallileo). Another Hana Kimi is going to be dead boring. *cough* Buuuut it's from an experienced screenwriter, so that should make everything a little better.
I'm going to guess that a Johnny Junior person is going to be casted too, or they would have already announced a debuted JE actor already.

Although it would be nice for Toma to be in this, like what everyone said, it's most likely he isn't. We wouldn't want him to be overworked anyways. ^^
I was actually hoping someone like maybe Toda Erika or Aragaki Yui would be in this, but I don't think it's likely either (at least for Toda Erika, she's had some for every single season for this year so far).

i hope they will surprise us by getting new and relatively unknown actors, especially with the character of Yuri Kenbishi who is supposed to be the lead in the manga. besides, NTV is known for this, like what they did by choosing Maki for Nobuta, Mirai for Joou no Kyoshitsu, , Gakki for My Boss My Hero and just recently Suzuka Ohgo for Sexy Voice and Robo.
