[Discussion] Joshi Deka

Post by ryoko11 » Oct 20th, '07, 23:21

http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Joshi_Deka!

From the first episode this seems like it could be my favorite detective series of the season. (I also enjoyed Tantei Galilleo, but the first episode of Joshi Deka had a couple of aspects that really got me interested in the rest of the series beyond what the other series have managed so far.)

Nakama Yukie has been quite funny, as has Izumi Pinko. The ending was the best part, imo. I really enjoy the twist it took, and I'm interested in seeing where this series goes.

So I was wondering who else was watching and what everyone thought so far. :D

I also partage your opinion. After watching Galileo, Yuukan & Joshi Deka! I can say this one satisfied me the most :) The case seems to be darker & more complicated which I love, I alwayz like unexpectation in detective/mystery series :D
It's also funny LoL Yukie san never fails to crack me up with her little expressions facials ,childish & hilarious at the same time :lol
The ending made me go ah!! :w00t: ,cuz I didn't expect for that, even though I felt sthing like that in the beginning but the way they make it continue in the end is just so intelligent akaka I wun't definitely miss the next eps XD

The opening scene and the skillful way they combine comedy with drama is perfection. I'd expected to like Joshi Deka. I just hadn't expected to love it. The subtle nuances and undertones were brilliant. I hope everyone will give this drama a chance.

Nomanymore's blog that I linked to in the Yukan Club thread has Veoh links for Joshi Deka and Galilleo along the righthand top column on the page. I didn't see any Dream Again there, but I'll let you know if I see it anywhere. Somebody probably has that raw streaming too.

I was very postively surprised, it was funny but also had this dark part.
Nakama Yukie was great and I loved the parts between her and Hanako and also between Kurumi and Park Ji Won(when she's shaking his hand and wont let go)
The ending was a surprise but keeps me waiting for the next ep.

I really can't wait for the sub X]
Personally I like it in detective mystery series, each eps links to each other & develop another story..
As someone said before, yea this did give me an impression of "Unfair" but this one seems to be more lighten ^^

I really like this, especially after watching the first episode, and I'm grateful that someone is subbing it. :salut:

I'm a bit sad though coz it's not getting the attention it deserves, seeing that the ratings went down...:-( Hopefully it'll have the recognition it should get (and soon!). :-)

And oh yeah, I don't know why, but I really like it when Yukie prepares herself to shoot someone or something.. hehe. She really suits to play the funny but tough chick. :thumright:

Now that 30 million people in Japan have digital high vision, it will be extremely difficult for shows to get the recognition they deserve immediately. There's too much competition. On Thursday nights, when Joshi Deka airs, I watch it live, but the digital recorder is recording two other shows and my analog machine is recording one. It's amazing. I don't watch that much TV, but on Thursday nights at 10, there are FOUR shows I want to watch. So, I don't think Joshi Deka is suffering because people think it's bad. They just haven't gotten around to watching it yet. It's the only one I'm watching live.

Sorry for the long-winded commentary!

I agree with you. It's exactly as you said... there is just too much to watch... because our recorder somehow doesn't work as it is supposed to be I often have to switch around and watch to shows the same time... Thursdays I usually stick with Joshi Deka though :P

Yesterday I could not watch because I was just too tired, but I think the Dorama is quite interesting with all Nakama and Pinko Stuff and the "master shot" and the mysterious murders and that stuff... quite dimwittedly expressed oO

Seen three eps so far and really liking this drama. Nakama is so funny in this, espcially the small fighting scene of her and the other cop woman in ep3 lol.
This is my fave series this season.

I really enjoyed this drama. From the American styled opening theme to the thrills and laughs. Pinko san gave me a few good laughs.

I really do hope the makers return for a 2nd series. Great show that could easily support another series.
