From the first episode this seems like it could be my favorite detective series of the season. (I also enjoyed Tantei Galilleo, but the first episode of Joshi Deka had a couple of aspects that really got me interested in the rest of the series beyond what the other series have managed so far.)
Nakama Yukie has been quite funny, as has Izumi Pinko. The ending was the best part, imo. I really enjoy the twist it took, and I'm interested in seeing where this series goes.
So I was wondering who else was watching and what everyone thought so far.

I also partage your opinion. After watching Galileo, Yuukan & Joshi Deka! I can say this one satisfied me the most The case seems to be darker & more complicated which I love, I alwayz like unexpectation in detective/mystery series
It's also funny LoL Yukie san never fails to crack me up with her little expressions facials ,childish & hilarious at the same time
The ending made me go ah!! ,cuz I didn't expect for that, even though I felt sthing like that in the beginning but the way they make it continue in the end is just so intelligent akaka I wun't definitely miss the next eps

Nomanymore's blog that I linked to in the Yukan Club thread has Veoh links for Joshi Deka and Galilleo along the righthand top column on the page. I didn't see any Dream Again there, but I'll let you know if I see it anywhere. Somebody probably has that raw streaming too.

I think Ran will upload it but she's so busy at the moment so she can't upload anything.

I really like this, especially after watching the first episode, and I'm grateful that someone is subbing it.
I'm a bit sad though coz it's not getting the attention it deserves, seeing that the ratings went down... Hopefully it'll have the recognition it should get (and soon!).
And oh yeah, I don't know why, but I really like it when Yukie prepares herself to shoot someone or something.. hehe. She really suits to play the funny but tough chick.

Now that 30 million people in Japan have digital high vision, it will be extremely difficult for shows to get the recognition they deserve immediately. There's too much competition. On Thursday nights, when Joshi Deka airs, I watch it live, but the digital recorder is recording two other shows and my analog machine is recording one. It's amazing. I don't watch that much TV, but on Thursday nights at 10, there are FOUR shows I want to watch. So, I don't think Joshi Deka is suffering because people think it's bad. They just haven't gotten around to watching it yet. It's the only one I'm watching live.pessi_optimism1988 wrote:

Sorry for the long-winded commentary!

I agree with you. It's exactly as you said... there is just too much to watch... because our recorder somehow doesn't work as it is supposed to be I often have to switch around and watch to shows the same time... Thursdays I usually stick with Joshi Deka though
Yesterday I could not watch because I was just too tired, but I think the Dorama is quite interesting with all Nakama and Pinko Stuff and the "master shot" and the mysterious murders and that stuff... quite dimwittedly expressed oO
