More young Johnny's members in "Battery"

NHK announced on Wednesday that its spring drama series "Battery" will start on April 3, airing on Thursdays at 8:00pm.
The drama is based on Atsuko Asano's "Battery" novel series, which tells the story of a talented young pitcher and catcher. Yuma Nakayama is starring as the pitcher, while Sho Takada plays the catcher and Shintaro Morimoto plays Nakayama's younger brother. The three of them are all members of Johnny's Jimusho.
Johnny's Jr. member to make acting debut in lead drama role

13-year-old Yuma Nakayama, a member of Kansai Johnny's Jr., will make his debut as an actor this coming spring. He will star in an NHK drama series titled "Battery."
The drama is based on Atsuko Asano's popular novel series of the same name, which was turned into a movie this past March. The story revolves around a talented young pitcher-catcher duo, also known as the "battery" in baseball terms.
Nakayama has experience with baseball, as he has been part of his school's rubber baseball team since first grade.
"Battery" will premiere in April, but the time slot has not been announced.
Mr.Children sings for "Battery," Olympics

The popular band Mr.Children has two theme songs in store this year. First, they will provide the theme for NHK's drama series "Battery," which premieres on April 3. The song, titled "Shonen," has not been given a release date yet.
Then this summer, the band will do the theme song for NHK's coverage of the Beijing Olympics. Details of the song are scheduled to be revealed around June.
