Looks like it has been confirmed that YamaPi (Proposal Daisakusen, Kurosagi, Nobuta wo Produce, Dragon Zakura...) will be starring in a medical drama along with Aragaki Yui (Dragon Zakura, Papa to Musume no Nanokakan, My Boss My Hero...) and Toda Erika (Liar Game, Tatta Hitotsu no Koi, Ushi ni Negai wo: Love & Farm, Nobuta wo Produce...).

The plot isn't something I'd usually go for, but I'll be watching this for the cast. It's good to step out of my usual genres and who knows, I might love it.

Yolchen, I wish I could get my mum into dramas, that would be awesome. At the moment I'm working on my partner - he's actually enjoying Hana Kimi but is too proud to say so.

Lawl, ne? There are so great doramas, it would be a waste if someone didn't watch them!!

I forced serveral friends of mine to watch dramas I thought they would like and now they are all addicted! *evil*

Nodame Cantabile is definitely a very good secret weapon! i've gotten 2 of my friends, mum and sister-in-law lots more interested in jdramas with it!

and now my mum can actually identify Yamapi!

i must say i never watch medical dramas cuz it seems too serious for my liking so im definitely going to watch this for Yamapi. who knows, i might end up liking the drama for its story. (:

LOL my mother became also yamapi-fan! (She loved him in Nobuta and was convinced by Kurosagi ;P) .. and she likes Ikuta Touma!

I also prefear ..."lighter" dramas, but I think good actors can make even an ordinary story interesting. Plus we don't know what the drama is exactly about, right?;;
Those medical helicopters on the homepage of the Drama look like some action <3

Yeah, I guess I was the same as everyone else. Those 'heavy' dramas make me felt stressed up.

But I think there will be a little little bit of comedy.

Wow what a cast, Yamapi, Aragaki and Erika Toda all in one drama. I've seen (or am watching) medical dramas before like Kira Kira Kenshui, Satorare and Iryu (currently watching). They're actually pretty interesting when it's in Jdorama form.

They don't get overly serious unlike the Korean drama that my friend recommended called New Heart. She said it was really popular in Korea so I tried watching it, but I suddenly got bored halfway through the first episode. They just made it too overdramatic. that it was unbearable. Iryu and Kira Kira Kenshui teaches more about the morals of medicine and the stars are really good. So hopefully this drama also has an interesting storyline.

yamapi playing a doctor should be interesting... i have faith that he can do serious-ish drama, after all oguri shun was in some real movie-type movies (horror, miike etc.) and it only seemed weird for the first couple seconds...

watched the 30-second cm with my daughter, who's a yamapi fangirl, and she was horrified: "his hair's so gay looking!"

i was a bit surprised at his new barnet myself but it won't stop me watching when the eng sub comes out...

@Salz - beforehand i might have doubted, now i know he definitely can! in fact i'd like to see him in more substantial movie roles now i know he can carry the weight.

yamapi likewise, i enjoy his acting styles a lot (like all his mini-looks and characters in kurosagi, excellent stuff!), but because of my age and my culture i have mixed feelings (well, negative ones!) about company-produced idols.

i don't automatically hate them but i feel like they're often given tv roles based on their own personality rather than their acting skills, so it takes me awhile to warm up to them

but actually shun and yamapi are my fave male idols cause they can both act and they both look cool...

sorry to be so off-topic but i seem to have this habit of annoying ppl by accident... it was originally intended as a compliment to shun just with my negative sense of humour added

haha its ok

just that i like Shun so much and i never think of him as an idol only lol...
i have follow his career since Gto and he always versatiles in his acting and he is great in movie and butai....for me he is a real actor and not just an idol....
but in drama i do hope they give him better role....he tend to act a lot with JE boys so that why most people think he also an idol...
for Yamapi, the only drama i really luv him is NwP...but beside that i hope i luv his character in Code Blue

Just finished it - took me about 4 hours to get through 'cause I kept pausing it to do something else. Got bored a lot.

But the second half of the ep really changed my mind. I don't really know where this show is heading but that's what makes it all the more interesting. I'll definitely be sticking with it for now!

Pi's hair... er, will take me a while to get used to, and I miss silly Pi if you get what I'm saying. Like Kenzo and Akira. *insert whatever his name is in Code Blue* reminds me very much of him in Kurosagi, but meh, shall get used to that too. >_<

Great cast - actually was the only reason I gave this series a shot in the first place. Think Erika's character, or that doctor who took care of that small girl is my favorite. Gakki's and Pi's character are too serious for me at the 'mo - I do understand this is how a doctor is supposed to be on the other hand, but Erika's and the one with glasses are a break from the other two - if you get what I mean.

Oh, and something else. The guy who got his arm stuck in the machine in the factory really disturbed me. This show is pretty grpahic. I might actually have to look away in future eps.

I don't hate Yamapi, but I'm not that into him. I guess he's supposed to be the cold hot-shot, but he just came across as bland/bored. I really like the rest of the cast, though. The pace seems slow, and the music is AWFUL (techno...wtf?), possibly the worst music I've heard in a jdrama ever.

Maybe it's because I'm watching the raw without subs, but this show really annoyed me.

i didnt watch the drama yet so i just wanting to know...

It was a combination of the awful music and a whole lot of nothing going on. I know I didn't watch it with subs, but I'm used to watching jdramas without subs and getting the jist of the story.
