[Discussion]Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (Kamenashi Kazuya)
Well,I do agree that this version isn't much like the anime or the manga. Yamato Nadeshiko is too strange to be dramatized I guess. A lot of the stuff that made it interesting are missing from the life action.
Casting-wise, all I can say is that Kame (while versatile as an actor) didn't seem Kyohei-ish enough, you if get what I'm saying. He is easy on the eyes and have performed well in many other dramas but this sadly, will not be one of the roles that he will be remembered for. Kame's body language, actions etc didn't seem "ORE-sama" enough. Even in the opening, the little dance number had too much of Kame in it and too little of Kyohei.
In my opinion, while this drama might be ok if it was original, the manga and the anime have created an impression so strong and memorable that it makes it difficult for fans to swallow the life action.

I think the whole of Episode 6 was really just an excuse to give Kame that haircut. LOL!AnonKuro wrote:ok first things first, i LOVEE kame's haircut its like soo cutee
And yeah, I liked ep. 7 too. The one thing that's an improvement from the manga/anime is that Kyouhei's affection for Sunako is more defined here. Just love his jealous nuances. hihihi!

I've never liked Kame at all, but I actually really liked him in this one. I think his acting style (or maybe the lack of it....) suited this drama very well. I liked the long hair more, but Kame in glasses and a beanie worked very well for me also....
The kiss was one of the best I've seen in Japanese dramas. Tho it kind of felt like he was fooling a little kid into a kiss, but it was very cute, nonetheless. I loved it!
The last few episodes were wack, tho! Everything just went from weird to crazy. I tried to think it was because it was based on a manga, and those are usually pretty far from reality, so... idk. I have no idea what happens in the manga, tho, since I've only seen the anime. It just got too weird for me at the end. I'm still kind of sad that it ended. The characters were so lovable. And I loved the headbutts!

that was some excellent dramawatching
i was a huge fan of the anime, but i watched it years ago so i only have a vague idea of what happened which is probably a good thing because i would think it hard to make the anime into a live action.
i think the cast did a good job. i liked the fightscenes and the quabbels but it was still tearjerking and humerous (though i sort of expected and want hana kimi type humour)
ahh the ending, i'm pretty satisfied with it, everything was tied up nicely (and i'm pretty hard to impress with endings, the ploy to get them there was still pretty what the though) <3 i agree with everyone about the kiss, it was very very cute (and i'm going to assume it wasn't a wall kiss)
also about his hair, i think he looked great in the wig at episode one (T_T sad when he took it off), then i got use to his hair, then he cut his hair and i was like omg (but it never grew on me until the last episode, i think he started getting a fringe too )
the only thing is i wish, is that she would of nosebled at least ONCE! ;-;

Whee throwing in my 2 cents....
I wasn't too fond of the show.. I mainly watched it because of Aya since I never saw her act this type of character before. But yeah... I think the two had no chemistry and were just made a couple because..... they had to. Never read the manga but I have a feeling I might like it better than the drama. And yeah... those four guys are NOT that hot that I would crazy for... (and Kame looks a little chunky >_<) Yeah........ but I kinda liked how I saw a different type of acting from Aya ^_^

I just finished episode 2; catching up on my drama watching! At first I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, even though I love Kame and his acting, but when I got to the host club part I started to love it. Glad I continued watching. <3
Well, I'm comparing him to like some previous dramas I've seen him in. Well, maybe his body is probably the same, but I'm like really talking about his face looks a bit chubbyer than before. I even noticed in that Tanaka Koki drama tooAshurii09 wrote:Huh?! o_o O_O He's a stick!«minah» wrote:(and Kame looks a little chunky >_<)

I've watched the dorama and personally i'm very dissapointed by the cast...
Here's my personal preference for the cast (i know it wudnt change a thing, but still, when u were a devoted fan who got dissapointed, this is what u wud do) :
Hiroki Uchi as Kyohei
Chiaki Kuriyama as Sunako
Err... okay, i dunno just yet how to post a picture.. so i shall try to attach it.
