don't worry dear, no need to apologise.

sorry if i can't offer anymore insight and opinion about this drama anymore. i will leave nakahara, miki, seiji and tachibana to do whatever they want and i just come and see it each week. wasted too much time on them already :|

thanks for understanding and also realized that a waste of time to warm up our heads with simple characters. they are just that: characters because there is no discussion over it. I always watched the drama with my favorite actor and not worry about your character then I will continue well okay ^^ in UNTOUCHABLE, for example, did not like the temperament of the character of Kaname, he was rude and despise the protagonist who loved him, but I liked to enjoy his job anyway, I think it is more important :-)

I actually liked this episode. Miki seems to be getting stronger with every episode. Surprisingly, Tachibana didn't annoy me the most (though she did plenty). This time it was Nakahara who did the best job of annoying the hell out of me! He's got to be the most dim-witted man I've ever seen in a drama, Japanese or otherwise (and this isn't even a comedy!).
He's such a hypocrite, saying he'll stay with Tachibana because she was "there" for him. Child, please. When Miki was having doubts about her job, saying she wanted to quit, Nakahara just cut her off and wouldn't listen to her problems, despite saying he would. Miki was right when she chastised him for never thinking about anyone but himself. He too good to a fault, way to gullible. And stupid, lol.

Bad communication between the two and a stupid boyfriend is a breeding ground for bad events in any relationship, even outside dramas! Now here we go again with the bullying. What more does Tachibana have to gain from Miki? I didn't quite understand what the boss man was doing at the computer, something about office bullying. I'll have to clarify.

EDIT: I think the boss man at the computer is writing a report saying the Team Leader (the woman with the drinking problem) lead the office bullying, and I think that's what he was trying to get out of Shirai-san at the wedding. He must really hate that team leader woman!

He hates her because she discovered something that seems to be an embezzlement, and the boss seems to be at fault in this matter. So he wants to silence her or to have her removed from there.

I was surprised by the decision to shota leave miki to marry marika I found it quite strange. shota give up because miki to marry marika even though she was not pregnant if he ever loved miki and promised to protect her and wanted to stay with her for the rest of your life? Hum.. there is something... I think there must be some ulterior motive behind his decision that I still think shota know more things than it appears and the mother of shota also did not approve the marriage but very certainly by the end of the drama shota will discover the true character of marika and I doubt it ends with her

The 7th was surprisingly way better than the last 2!
I'm glad Miki is making her way in the compagny, and she's finally getting some support from her teammates! For the exception of that guy, I really want to slap him so hard ahah

girl, because you do not say that I'll win the lottery? hehehe :lol but it was more than Nakahara's time to discover the truth about Tachibana. but the last ep will only have 15 minutes? No way!!!!! more needs to happen to Tachibana to be punished properly Yukiko need to recover and clear, Nakahara has yet humble enough to Tachibana to complete and finish with Miki to wipe out Tachibana because what affects Tachibana is Nakahara then he leave and come back with Miki Tachibana definitely end up with. but I'm sad only 8 eps is so little...

I'm sorry, I don't get it... in wiki.d-addicts is written: "Anne as Tachibana Marika" http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Naka_nai_to_Kimeta_Hi.

At her page, her participation in this drama is mentioned as well:
'Naka nai to Kimeta Hi (Fuji TV, 2010)' http://wiki.d-addicts.com/Anne and her name is noted like this:

Name: 杏 (あん)
Name (romaji): Anne / An
Real name: 渡辺杏 / Watanabe Anne

On the official site of the drama, her name appears also:
立花万里香 : 杏 http://www.fujitv.co.jp/nakanai/caststaff.html

So where did you find another name for her?

The last episode will have 15 EXTRA minutes. There's no way the very last episode in the series would have only 15 minutes!

I don't understand why there are so few episodes though. The ratings are pretty good, so it could just be they way it was written from the start. And don't go into the episode expecting Tachibana to be totally and completely punished. Life is never totally and completely fair (though I don't think she'll get away with everything!). Let's wait for the next episode to see what happens.

Sorry to say, but that translator you have in your browser is terribly inaccurate. I went to the Fuji TV website, looked at the page you posted, and translated it myself. The first question in the interview with Watanabe Anne says something along the lines of: "Marika is Miki's friend, but she seems to have a different side to her. What kind of woman does Marika look like when Anne-san sees this?" I don't know why your browser translated the name as "Mari Kaoru", but it's wrong. The rest of the page you have posted also doesn't make sense when I read it. For an accurate browser translator, I suggest downloading the Firefox add-on called Rikaichan. It's far more accurate than the one you seem to be using. http://www.polarcloud.com/rikaichan/.

In reference to this episode:
I hope that someone realizes that Tachibana has concealed the dates of Miki's text messages. Then they would know it was sent before Tachibana and Nakahara got married. Wow, ridiculous. I don't think viewers can get that sense of closure with just 8 episodes. "LIFE" is a much better drama about bullying, in my opinion! Though, kudos to Eikura Nana, she's done well with the script, and she's a cutie!

wwwwwoooooooooowwwwwww what a relief! I only have 15 minutes OMG! :pale: I also found it impossible and did not like only having only 8 eps is a a waste, I thought it was still a lot of things happen.

Tachibana must be totally destroyed! the first thing she will lose will be the Nakahara, the rest will be a leap. want to see Nakahara separate Tachibana and returning to Miki  oh yeah the final would be perfect

but poor Yukiko! did not want her to die and it was nice to see how Seiji worry about it above all. I understand that in advance he was desperate to run the hospital (if I understood right) ok, so we can only wait for the last ep. I can not wait to see Tachibana be unmasked and Nakahara give a machete and the ****** her hehe :lol :whistling:

just finished watching ep8 and i have to say, it's funny how it turned out to be a second hotaru no hikari. not that i am complaining about its ending because those last scenes brought a big smile to my face as everyone got what they deserve by the end.

except
mariko that she still got what she wanted at the first and got away with her murdure (literally). and nakahara did not turned out be as clever as everyone thought he was because he was clueless about marikio's real personality till very end and did not suspect anything let alone marrying her with a previous plans in his mind. and if he did not see that video file by accident, he would be still thinks of her as his loving wife. but still, he decided to stick with evil person just because she cried horribly (worst acting ever by Anne by the way, her crying made me laugh) and said all she wanted is to be with him. i guess this was enough reason to forgive all her evil deeds that she has done for him.
i did not buy the fact that he stayed with her because he thought she was a changed person or regreted what she has done. because when someone is really sorry for all the wrong things he/she has done to people and caused them all these pain and misery, the first thing they do is to make amends and mariko did not do that at all. i think she was just feeling sorry for herself for not being able to be with nakahara.
or maybe he stayed with mariko because saw miki is over him totally now and no chance of going back together.
guess i have to be thankful to him to be man enough to confess to what he has done and take the resposibilty
so i guess, at the end, their love was not a true love and he was not her real hero after all.
well, this drama entertained me enough. was great talking to everyone :salut:

Arigatou gozaimashita for the link! It was really useful. :)

I think this final is more realistic than all the 'happy ending' cliches usually seen in j-doramas. Though not all the scenes were so realistic throughout the episode.
How convenient Nakahara 'happened' to rush in Miki's office 'just in time' to see the video recordings, ne?? And how gentle of him to act as 'soul saviour' for 'poor Marika', who was 'just childish' setting all the troubles, only to 'be with him'... Yes, THAT'S the true hero!!! NAKAHARA, of course, for choosing the 'ascetic' path, to 'repent' for his blindness by sharing his life with Miki's sworn enemy... Or, should I say... masochist?? :pirate:

It was really funny in the end, hearing Miki say something about 'kira-kira' -- it seems Hotaru found its(her) 'hikari' once again by Naohito's side
When you see him again in any drama... just believe me: HE'S TROUBLE!!! :w000t:

Disappointing...
I sincerely hoped Nakahara show some intelligence at least in the last ep but I was disappointed to see that even before the truth he did not see the true character of his wife. I expected him to send Tachibana to hell and back with Miki. oh yes I would be pleased to see an end like this but I am disappointed to see that Nakahara been so obscured as to believe that all the evil she did was just to stand beside him. that's not how you love a person but we must not disappoint with the characters, but with the writers who have done so, really expected a totally different ending, a shame... hopefully we can watch it subtitled soon

another hotaru no hikari? :) ehh and here i thought there'd be no romance between nao and nana considering next to no romantic scene between the two til now. i wonder how they made it so that the series can conclude this way.

me still waiting for the torrent.

just to add
the way they dealed with mariko by the end is totally unrealistic.

from ep 1 it was very clear that mariko is not normal person and not stable emotionally. she is willing to do anything just to have what she wants.
even if she needs to eliminate the person infront of her. she is an insane person with criminal mind. how a person like her is left unpunished for her crimes is beyond my imagination.

let's just say that no one knew that she was behind miki being trapped in the fridge and she got away with it. but what about her second attempt of killing miki with that broken glass? her only punishment was a slap from nakahara and that's all. why nobody is calling police on her?
i could not believe what i am watching at all. i think writers in this drama did a horrible job. they tried to make it realistic but in the process they forgot to include the most realistic human responses in each case

totally agree with you!
writers were unable to explore and appreciate the characters more. Nakahara who had everything to make a difference and give Tachibana punishment she deserved one turned out to be stupid from start to finish believing every lie she said. would have been much more interesting if he had discovered it before and already married to her with all premeditated to expose it after telling everyone about their frames and separating it. would be the perfect punishment she deserved to be arrested and lose what she loved most, in this case Nakahara but it did not I think the writers have done much harm Nakahara has everything to be a character as amazing as his actor but the writers did not cooperate

You know what also really irritated me towards the end of this series was how much of an a**hole that head chef (?) or whatever was to Miki - seriously if that was me, I would've slapped him the moment he raised (and kept raising) his voice.

ONLY for those who have seen KOUKOU KYOUSHI !!
I've just finished Koukou kyoushi and found in it some funny similarities with Naka nai to kimeta hi AND Hotaru no hikari:

- Hina says '...naka nai to kimeta...'

- that female doctor gets to act like a 'snake' close to the end, and... remember? Her name was....?? Right: TACHIBANA!!!

- Hina says something like 'Watashi, ne... kimetanda: zutto sensei no soba ni iru'n te...'

- so, following the uncertain final of Koukou kyoushi and the habit of Naohito to 'keep the girl' in the end - see Hotaru no hikari, Itoshi kimi e... - the final for Naka nai... should be only predictible: she left with him as it was the most normal ending in the world  (at least this one seemed to be happy... :P)

And when I said 'he's trouble'... did you think it was just a joke?? XD

I wonder... screenwriters just ran out of ideas?? Or... could it be Naohito's special request for this type of story?? :scratchchin:

seen koukou kyoshi (both 1993 and 2003 ones) but looooong long time ago
that's why i do not remember these similarites. but it's interesting. i still have to remember a drama that Naohito does NOT get the girl by the end. i have seen lots of his dramas. it's usually either there is no compition in getting the girl in the story or when there is, he always ends up getting the girl.
i did hint in very begining of this thread that it seems like another Hotaru no Hikari but most apposed so strongly. i think writers wanted to hide the important of his charcater made Nakahara in front.
one think we need to remember, Fujiki is much more famous actor than Kaname. like it or not. he has been the lead actor in most of his dramas but Kaname yet to have a leading role. he has been always a second or third character. that's why i thought it's very strange to make him the main in this one too specially with Naohito's presence.

if we ignore the theme of this drama that deal with bulling at work place, Naka nai to kimeta hi is simialr to naka nai... in basic points of the story

-both hotaru and miki fall for the brightest person in the company and that peson helps them
- there is a second girl that also has her eyes on the man and wants to do anything just to have him for herself (in case of Hotaru she is not evil but fair and lovely girl though)
-they both end up getting the guy at very begining
-the boss, Naohito is a grumpy character who is harsh on heroin.
-the boss Naohito, always helps that heroin but she herself never realised it.
-the loved guy is portrayed as a very perfect person with no faults at all.
-later on, its revealed that he is not the person everyone he think he is with all his obvious perfection.
-the girl opens up her eyes to how great Naohito's charcater really is and start have feeling for him.
-he also has hidden crush/love/interest in her too but never show his true feeeling
-Naohito is the main savier of the day.
-Naohito gets the girl.
THE END :P
i know that we can say regardless of actors, this is a backbone story of most of dramas (J & K ones) but these similarities between naka nai ... and hotaru... were veeeeeeeeeeeery close

I think maybe he doesn't sign any contract that has not the first condition in it: 'I MUST get the girl in the end!' - 'NO girl, NO act!'

Do you happen to know if there is any thread for Massugu na Otoko, cause I didn't find it? I just wanted to see if anyone 'loved' that utterly LAME final...

Thanks!

I liked the drama, BUT
But what kind of finale was that!?!? I so did not get why Tachibana got the guy even after showing her violent jealous rage. Why did they let a Tachibana just go home after trying to kill someone!?!? LOL at least they found a way to make the drama memorable for me. But seriously, this drama sends out many mixed moral messages to viewers.

YES. and one of those mixed moral messages is that
NO matter how evil and horrible person you are and no matter what evil deeds you plan to get what you want, you will succeed by the end and get away with murder and get what you want. you don't even need to be sorry for what you have done and seek forgiveness from people who you harmed deeply. just try crying as fakely as you can and the man is yours. SO, keep up the evil work and go for it.

yes, yes...
I found a nonsense Nakahara be as lenient with Tachibana and give another chance to end it without it even having been punished for anything she did. Nakahara is too good for her! Tachibana never deserved to be with Nakahara. to be honest this drama could have ended much better but the writers were unable to take

So far we've translated episode 1. If anyone is interested in helping us time/QC/ etc please email touhif@Hotmail.com . We're DramaCrazy.Net's Subbing group so if you have any issues with us then obviously don't email.

watched the SP last night and i really don't know why on earth they thought of making it.
the only reason i can think of is
they have read my last post above and they thought mariko should not go unpunished for her evil deeds. so just through her between some bully women so she can feel what miki went through and as we did not put miki through enough bully, let's transfer her to another company and do it all over again.
there was absolutely no point in making this drama when everything stayed the same as the drama ended.
the only thing i liked in this SP was the slap that miki gave mariko at the end. it really made me feel much better.

I fully agree with you Issy, moreover there was no need to make a SP Nakanai and much less so fast! this was nothing less than a repeat of the 8 eps summarized in a ep longer! nothing has changed. just thought Miki stronger and mature; Kirino was more firm and decided to enlist the support of other executives, but only succeeded due to intervention by Nakahara, who incidentally has not changed anything, always more concerned with others than with him and really only point really worth it to see Tachibana was taking a slap in the face (though I think she took the slap of Nakahara has hurt more...) No more, no SP found that necessary, really wanted a SP UNTOUCHABLE or even a new season, this one ended in a totally incomplete... :blink

After watching ep 1-5 straight with sub, I can't help it but spoiled myself by reading all the spoilers you guys posted. Not liking how this would end at all :-(

This is so intense. I need something to brain wash myself from this bully evilness.

Whoa I really wanted to share this feeling.

This must be the worst drama I watched so far, I do not mean it's bad. It's not bad (I'm still watching, at ep7 now) but come on this is so painful. At the end of each episode I'm getting so angry!

I used to like Anne (Karei naru Spy, Samurai High School) but after this role I'm really starting to dislike her... Hehe I know it's all fictional and I'm aware my argument is purely subjective.
But still I wanted to share the feeling of frustration...

hahaha yes! I feel the same about Kaname Jun! I always liked him and I follow all his papers but he was too naive Nakahara as the extreme of stupidity hehe but then I realized that behind what seemed naive or stupid to give notice that the great "his mistake" was his good heart
