Thanks for the link 4ever-kunimi :-) I didn't know this blog...looks like it's updated quite often,so we can have yamada's lastest news :thumright: *save to favourites* :P
Just watched the ikigami video from the blog...they showed some scenes from the movie...but nothing really new >.< I couldn't understand the interview part but the end was cute though..Narumi Riko couldn't understand something,so yamada wanted to explain to her,but it hasn't anything to do with the movie so he just stopped and told the journalist to keep on the interview :lol

oh that's yabe's blog for his radio show ^^ He has another one, where he puts photos he takes during the shooting of crows II : http://blog.livedoor.jp/yabesuke1112/
This guy loves selfcam too much :lol

Collections of the Takayuki-kun's related links (in Japanese, unfortunately)

http://www.geocities.jp/blace_yourself/link.htm

Mahel, although I really don't understand what they were talking about
I noticed that he is naturally with good sense of humor as he makes people laugh often
(felt the same from the clips I saw him in the past)

He seems kind of asocial at times. Due to small coverage in English I sometimes am not sure whether he is weird just to uphold his image or he is really such a weirdo at times
But it seems that people who get to know him adore him.

I like to watch him in behind the scenes, there he seems most like himself, in CZ BTS he was very cute :P

Thanks for all the links, I have something to do for the rest of the evening. :P
Aren't there any new about MW as well, is the movie already shot? I read yesterday some stuff about the manga on the internet, and I look forward to it even more. :thumright:

akin16sk, there was recently update on MW official website http://mw.gyao.jp/ without trailer/teaser.

View some pics of MW from same Japanese fan's blog

http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/tonchangonchan ... 92658.html

I agree that he seems nervous in public (like on TV show).
Sometimes, I thought oh man are you in a bad mood :P

But, when he talks/smiles he change to another person and of course sooo adorable

Thanks I have been visiting the official MW page like every day, because i am looking forward to that movie so much, but I didn't know about the blog and yay, there was a new photo I haven't seen yet.

And when it comes to Takayuki and TV, he in general seems to be quite nervous around people he deosn't know. He seemed very nervous also around the CZ cast at the beginning, even somewhere in the middle of shooting he seemed timid at times, only at the end you could see that he learnt to get on well with the others (it seemed to me that mainly due to Oguri's friendly efforts to draw Takayuki out of his shell). I do wonder how such a superb actor can be so nervous in public. He can be witty and charming and yet they are days when he seems like somebody had eaten his lunch and only if you know him a little, you realize that he is actually that nervous, it's kind of...funny, in a way confusing and yet adorable

Hanamaru cafe

Post by akin16sk » Sep 26th, '08, 09:20

If I got the information right, then today Matsuda Shota and Yamada are going to be in Hanamaru Cafe and most likely will be presenting Ikigami, I have no idea though, whether we will manage to get our hands on the episode, since I don't know any Japanese people, who could record it for us and upload, but maybe some Matsuda Shota group will have better connections. :P

Are you sure Yamada was on it ? Because his name isn't mentioned on TBS website =S There's only Matsuda Shota -___-
http://www.tbs.co.jp/hanamaru/cafe

I'm sure it will appear on clubbox very soon anyway,no need to have connections with Japanese people to watch it ^^;;

I am not really sure, that's the problem, I caught it somewhere on the net. Though to be honest, I was a tad confused, because I was looking for his name on the Hanamaru cafe page and also couldn't find it. Maybe I misunderstood it. Woudl love to see more of our boy.

It seems that the shooting of Crows Zero II was officially finished, the boys got their flowers. Here is a picture of Takayuki getting his (it's a little too small, but you can still see his humble self).

http://blog.livedoor.jp/g_tsujimon/arch ... 27219.html He has the hideous Serizawa shirt again

oh well..

Yamada Takayuki played the role as Tamao Serizawa, in Crows Zero 1, he is Genji (Oguri Shun)'s rival. Actually, since crows zero is about gangsters fighting for the role "King of the Crows". In Suzuran, their school, Tamao is currently the King of Crows,Genji wants to take it from Takayuki.. Actually on my opinion, Tamao is kind hearted in a way he doesn't start the fights but rather he fight when someone offended him or his friends.. but the bowling part is really unbelievable.. Human pins? hehehe.. you gotta watch it..

As for his 2009 projects, there is Crows Zero 2 which I'm forever waiting, it has Haruma Miura in it..
Three gorgeous guys in 1 movie, that's something.. Oguri Shun, Yamada Takayuki and Haruma Miura.. woot..

he did seem a little...not that interested in the whole fight for his kingdom. i was expecting a little more hot fury from him. i even had a feeling at times that tamao doesn't care THAT much about the whole ruling suzuran stuff. to be honest from the pics i had seen for crows 2 i wondered if the writers aren't playing with this a little....but that's just mu speculatiion, because that would make tamao more interesting as character and of course give takachan more screen time and lines and well....isn't that reason enough

you said it.. ehehe.. I was really thinking about it.. but he seems to care.. It just that, he doesn't seem to avoid a fight.. LOL.. ironic.. hahhaa...gotta sleep.. see ya...

In 2009, apart from CZII and MW we long for

Kamogawa Horumo
http://www.horumo.jp/

I check on Takayuki's Japanese fansite daily (I can't read it though, simply use the online translator somehow couldn't help much), no new project other than that.

@colyn7, yes 'Kunimi' is from H2 my very first drama ever saw his charm and talent.

For CZII synopsis, presumably to focus on the fight between 'Housen' and 'Suzuran' plus cause of their confilcts.
Suzuran's been defeated but never gave up
Have you guys seen Crows Zero II CM theatre manner lately?

I had only seen something from the CM on one webpage, I am not sure though if it's straight from th CM or shooting of it or what. I am using online translators too and it's damn slow. BTW from what I gathered Takachan's personal page is usually the last one to get any news :P

I am surprised though that I didn't find any Japanese forums for him, people really have no sense of what is good :P

As for the others, I was surprised that CZ is so soon out, because I have a feeling it was shot as the last after Kamogawa and MW.

Hmm he looks so good in that picture, I would never in hundred years say that he is Japanese, he really seems like Indian.
And of course you did think of that scene, great minds think alike and I am sure all Tamao fans thought of it, because it was unforgettable

The mw site was re-newed. Althoughts there is a lot of flashing, the site looks good http://mw.gyao.jp/. I love the poster for the movie and I am so curious how they handle the homosexual aspect of the story, and many other....aspects of the story....

Thanks akin16sk...

Some said that the homosexual topic will not be touched in the movie.
I doubt that after the poster being released.

Just saw 'Ikigami' from the theatre today.
I have to say although he appeared in few scenes (too less ),
but he was dominant (as usual) with the role 'Satoshi' who did everything for the lovable younger blind sister.

I heard that there won't be any yaoi scene, but as for not touching the topic at all, considering how the manga is written, I don't think that's possible, because exactly the yaoi point is sort of fuelling all happening and shaping the stances of characters, they can't ignore it.

I had seen Ikigami when I was in Japan, and I love the movie. Yamada was so great there, his squeaky, insecure abosolutely yamada voice....he was really really good, as expected. I definitely want to buy it, once the DVD is out., Out of his recent movies I haven't seen only 252, I wonder if I should buy it, if there is even enough takachan in it. :whistling:

Luckily that Ikigami was shown here, it was filled with almost 20% of audiences yesterday.

I might not expect to see 252 in the theatre here but in DVD.
Even, he appeared single scene I still want to see him with high hope for more scenes. (bought 252 visual book lately, his character introduced after Hideaki Ito)

I was yesterday watching Namida no Suprinta and realized how handsome the boy is....again  He is such a cutie and just....normal, just the boy next door type. it's a nice change after watching tons of dramas with handsome boys, but with the aura of superidol\idol or at least a model.

I am glad that Takachan is the type to pull you into his characters and make you like him. When I showed my friends Densha Otoko, I warned everybody not to diss the main character, because I like him. When he appeared as otaku, everyone looked at me like I am not quite right in the head, but at the end, everybody was hooked. Even my lesbian friend who dislikes girly movies...that's how great he is.

So I understand that you want to watch every glimpse of him, 4ever-kunimi, I do most certainly too, I just prefer to spend my thin budget on movies where there are more glimpses of him, or he acts in a role that is unusual for himl. Then when mu budget is not so thin, I can buy the others 8)

akin16sk, you are absolutely right about being mature of spending slim budget toward artist. I have to watch myself sometimes. :P

Although, for the sarcastic and bitter medical trainee role in 252 seems to be stereotype. I would expect him make it special and different like he did in Ikigami. 8)

So that's what to role was about.....I didn't know even that little. I don't mind a standard steoretype as long as takachan plays is, as long as it's not his stereotypical role of a desperate boy in love, outcast....something, I think I enjoyed Serizawa so much because it was something different. MW seems also a little more mature, although the favourite theme, guilt, is there.

And I am looking forward to Kamogawa because Takachan does too many sad roles.

As for mature spending, I would be spending more and immaturely if I had the money to spend and if buying the dvd from Japan didn't cost me several times the cost of the DVD, I wish I lived somewhere closer. *sigh*

I always envy those who can easily get DVD from Japan.

As I miss a lot of Takayuki's previous works, don't know until when I can fulfill my wish lists (e.g. Jenifa, Hatachi, Sayoko)

I also anticipate for Kamogawa Horumo, but doesn't expect much that it will be released in theatre here as it seems to be so traditional comedy.

PS. His character in 252 I read in English review somewhere, too bad I didn't save it.

Ach, his early works, I don't even hope to get my paws on those....*sigh* I am glad if I get my paws on the current sooner than half a year after their release....I am fully willing to buy the dvds athough they are insanely expensive for me, what kills me is the wait. i am sure that crows zero will be soon ripped or even a cinema copy, since oguri is there and he has a stable fan base. 252 i will probably see only when i buy the dvds and kamogawa...i don't know about that, don't know anybody there apart from takachan, but the book was very popular so I hope somebody will put it up. and MW..it is tezuka osamu and hiroshi tamaki...oh how i wished i lived somewhere closer....

I don't think there will be any of takachan's movies in our cinemas. *people really don't know what is good*

For the movies released here (e.g. Crows Zero, Ikigami the local subtitles already there in the theatre.

Next movies, I would say...

252 - kind of mainstream, might be available in the theatre
MW - possibly to be seen in the theatre more than 50% due to popularities of Osamu sensei and Tamaki
Kamogawa Horumo - not much hope to be seen in the theatre

I just enjoy some of his previous works without subtitles (e.g. Startline, Maiko Haaaan)
Maiko Haaaan finished bit download just now, Takayuki would appeared only 5 minutes I guess

Wow you have a lot of things in theatrea. I am not sure if even Densha Otoko was in theaters here and that is a pretty known movie. Just like in most small countries our cinemas concentrate on mainstream, that means American movies.

How is it with buying stuff, do you find takachans Dvds and so on in shops. If I wanted to buy something, I would have to do so online, what kind of brings two main problems in my head, handling fees and bank fees. I know that yesasia delivers goods around the world without payment, but they don't have a paypal account and paying internationally is in my country quite expensive, so I am waiting what will happen now, because with Euro the EU enforces the same payments for inter-bank payments in Europe, so I wonder if international payments will be included too. As soon as I know this, I will start thinking about online payments again. Ach being fan is difficult....but I am happy 8)

Licensed DVDs quite cheap (ea. <= 5 EU),
pirate ones even cheaper :whistling:
I myself avoid to do online payment (my personal paranoid strategy).

Kinokuniya bookstore is very good service here, you can order back-date stuffs (except magazine). Since, I've been fan lately. I missed these visual books they are out of stock already (except online sales)

As Mikan-chan in Koi ga Shitai x 3, I think she is not even close 'cause Takayuki is a lot more prettier, HE HE HE :lol

I saw few Churasan clips with Takayuki in it. The full episodes will be obtained (downloaded) anytime later.

I am watching Churasan at the moment and it's a nice show, I started watching only for Takayuki, but I got fond of it in general, it is of one of those shows that leads you through the process of getting adult, but in a very sweet and loving way. I like it a lot.

As for the trailer, oh how they tease us, again they didn't show us anything we haven't seen before. Yet, I am not sure if I understood it correctly, but
if those two boys were supposed to be Yuki and Garai as kids, then they obviously change main plot lines. If that is true, I am very sorry, because I was VERY curious how they would handle the fact that Garai actually abused small Yuki sexually, if they move away from the manga version so much, I wonder if they don't omit the homosexual point as secondary....I am kind of disappointed, half of the fun of waiting for this movie is created by my curiosity how will handled the difficult plot themes.

Could it be (I never read the manga but review)...
The priest in manga and movie was not the same person, because of 2 points. First is that manga's priest is at age 30, while Takayuki is 25 (unless he want to play the role with more age). Second is that his name is manga is Iwao Garai, in movie he is Yutaro Kaku (unless it was the same Japanese writing but different pronunciation)

I have impression that the homoeroticism controversial issue usually is avoided in mainstream movie (not only Japanese movie) or is made in a way that audience feel more comfortable about it

Well I was wondering about the names, but what's the point in re-creating the manga if it's not the manga....? It seems kind of....well, I am disappointed by this development. A LOT. I was so curious how mature the Japanese society is to accept and handle these themes and well... :glare:

As for the names, I think in the trailer Yamada is introduced as Yuutaro Garai, it was in the first trailer, I think, so I really don't know...

I am reading the manga at the moment and Garai's actions don't make much sense if you omit the fact that he loves Yuki and feels guilty at the same time. If he handled the matters in the same way he does, when not in love with Yuki, he would be a pretty lousy priest. :P But I don't know....maybe it's just me, but the poster seemed to imply that there is something going on between the two, so maybe they are just omitting the more uncomfortable point of the story (which I quite understand, to be honest).

Hmm...

Making MW manga to live action, the option would be stick with the original plot and took the risk of being banned in worst case scenario.
Or adapt the plot a bit with decent actors to gurantee the success  (not ironic, seriously)

I got the manga now, will spend over long new year holidays to read it.

Wow you are that fast? I have to search for almost every kanji, so it it a very slow process, although I do have a feeling that if Yamada didn't play in mw, I would have it, from what I heard, character development and some plot twists are pretty flimsy and I hate that in books. I can stand lousy action, but not lousy characters. That's why I also wonder how they do the film.

I have been to Japan and started to learn Japanese, but somehow I still feel like I don't know enough by far. I should probably study more, I hope that MW (who am I kidding :whistling: ) will help me, because I learn best by reading in a foreign language, but I can't read something that doesn't interest me enough. Yamada, luckily, still does.
BTW I found the article about 252 you have mentioned and I was surprised, it was quite negative. I am not sure if this isn't one of the first articles I have read about Yamada's work which is negative or doesn't praise him.....kind of....shocking :blink

Did we read the same article, I recall it was about the movie itself that was commented in a negative way not to the actors.

BTW, what was it about?

Hmm I am not sure what you mean. I certainly don't pick up kanji nearly fast enough, spoken word, more or less yes, written Japanese, absolutely no. I am totally ungraphical and have very bad graphic memory, so kanji is a real torture for me, but I bought a new good electronic dictionary in Japan and for Yamada kun I am willing to suffer this torture

Hmm it wasn't really negative about actors, but praising either. It mentioned that Yamada was a cynical student who hates his job and resents his father and that all men in the movie were more or less hysterical and only a woman there was a little cold-headed or something in the sense. It didn't necessarily speak badly about Yamada, but I am not used to reading criticism concerning projects he picks, he usually has a good hand, well most of the time anyway and even if the movie sucks by chance, usually they praise him anyway, because he does his job extremely well.

I was looking forward to this movie and this was a little like bucket of cold water, not that I don't want to see it anyway. They made a drama out of it already, but I still haven't seen the movie around yet...... :glare:

I don't know how did he choose the project.

In my personal view (with 252 unseen), critic of that review seem to judge the reaction toward the catastrophe which he pointed out irrational. Based on that he wouldn't concern much whether acting are good or bad anymore I guess :P

Look forward to see him in this movie as I'd said earlier :whistling:
