Ueto Aya stars in “Junnen Saki mo Kimi ni Koishite”~
Aya Ueto (24) will star in a short drama series this fall, titled “Juunen Saki mo Kimi ni Koishite.” This will be her first time leading a series on NHK.
The show reunites her with actor Masaaki Uchino (41), whom she worked with in the 2004 tennis manga adaptation “Ace wo Nerae!” Back then, the two played the roles of a student and a tennis coach, but here they will be playing love interests.
The story focuses on 26-year-old Rika (Ueto), a single editor who is unskilled in love. The story starts when a man (Uchino) appears before her, telling her that he is her husband from 10 years in the future. He informs her that she will meet the young version of himself in a few days, but begs her not to marry him.
Both Ueto and Uchino will have double roles, playing their characters in the present and 10 years in the future.
The drama is an original story written by popular screenwriter Mika Omori. NHK will broadcast the series for six episodes on Tuesday nights at 10:00pm, starting on August 31.

Sounds interesting. However, it may be weird seeing Uchino as her love-interest, especially since Ace wo Nerae! is still printed into my mind...mat_albab89 wrote:Ueto Aya stars in “Junnen Saki mo Kimi ni Koishite”~

But we'll see. First, I'll finish Zettai Reido...
Wow, it's been over a year since the last post. I recently started watching the dramas she is in and I just love her character in Attention Please. I'm not very informative about Aya's background, I've checked Wiki but it only tells you so much. Does anyone know what are Aya's plans for this year?
Lets revive this thread!

Well, I don't really know what she's up to at the moment. The most recent Drama she did was Zettai Reido 2, which I still need to watch.
I'm still a very big fan of her and love her work. I just hope she'll get more Drama's soon, becuase she is such a great actress with the ability to play lots of different types of characters.
Go Aya!

No, sadly I don't think there are any known Dramas with Aya in them as of yet. Sad, to be honest. She is filming a movie together with my favorite Japanese actor, though; Abe Hiroshi. The movies is called "Thermae Romae" and it's to be released this year. Hopefully, it'll be localized on DVD here.
And people who haven't seen Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003, should definitely watch it. Aya is magnificent in is. As well as in 3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei 6, which was released in 2001, when she was 16 years old!
Other Dramas that include Ueto Aya in them that I can recommend are the silly but funny My Little Chef (also stars Abe Hiroshi) and the elegant Hotelier, in which Aya looks just drop-dead beautiful.
If any of you decide to watch any or all of those Dramas, let me know what you think. I'm very curious to read your opinions!
And ever since I've seen Kou Kou Kyoushi a couple of years back, I have been playing with the idea of writing my own Kou Kou Kyoushi 2013. Sadly, though, I am not Japanese and am therefore not capable of writing in a 'Japanese manner,' if you will. It's sad, because I doubt we'll ever see an official Kou Kou Kyoushi 2013...

Her role in 3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei 6 is one of my favorites, she has an interesting character in it. She appears also in 3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei 7's mid-season special, but only for a few scenes.BokoWoShinjite wrote:And people who haven't seen Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003, should definitely watch it. I also liked the Azumi movies...
Not this year, but she is to star in new NHK drama as a criminalarchive18 wrote:Does anyone know if she is in a drama this year or what she might be doing?
http://www.tokyohive.com/2012/06/ueto-a ... -criminal/It was announced that actress Ueto Aya will be starring in the new NHK drama “Itsuka Hi no Ataru Basho de“, and will play a role of a criminal for the first time.
“Itsuka Hi no Ataru Basho de” is based on Nonami Asa’s novel. Ueto will be playing a college student ‘Komoriya Hako’ who falls in love with a male host (male who pours drinks & flirt with women in host clubs). In order to make the man the number 1 host at the host club, Hako keeps supplying him with money. However, when she eventually runs out of money, she resorts to crime. She robs men by tempting them to a love hotel, and secretly placing sleeping pills to take their money and valuables.

How's Itsuka Hi no Ataru Basho de. How many rate you would give her?

Well my heartstrings can be pulled quite easily but there are only a few dramas which have moved me to tears, although of course 1 Liter of Tears is the best tearjerker out there for me lolkangxy67 wrote:Itsuka Hi has been soooo good! I don't cry much watching dramas, even those that are supposed to evoke tears, but this drama has been pulling at my heart strings since the very first episode!
She's been in quite a few dramas, AND she's CM queen, so I'm sure you'd have seen her around. ^^
I guess you're right. She appears to be totally popular, and her face looks so familiar (well, like most established Jdrama actors and actresses out there and I've been on a Jdrama spree for the past few years so I feel happy whenever I see a familiar face and finally figure out the name behind the face )
Great. Good to know I've let you realize the most appropriate word to describe her.iloveloaf wrote:Captivating...iyeh. thats the word I want to mention above...

Hmm, haven't watched that yet. Honestly Itsuka Hi no Ataru Basho de's my first take on her properly. The drama proves to be the most popular among the local Japanese crowd so I'm mostly curious as to why that's the case.
Lol, I'm actually only halfway through part 1 of it in Dramacrazy /whacks herself. But I'm liking the atmosphere so far.

celeb to bimbo taro. i can see why you did not like her there, she was not a very nice person at start, i also did not like her role in that drama but she played well, i get annoyed by such characters so yeah. besides, celeb to bimbo wasn't bad, you see the maturing of her role compared to the first episode and it is a well explained maturity process >.> she also had a lot to teach to the kids mwahaha and to herself >>
lastly, lol aya is 27 and at the person who said her acting isn;t good O_O , you obviously have not watched "kaneko misuzu monogatari" or nagareboshi, or ri kouran or "kuruma isu de boku wa sora wo tobu" , or ai wa mieru , even zettai reido shows her ability to show how her role matures and adapts >.>
In itsuka hi no ataru basho de :3 she gets a 10/10 from me.excellent portrayal of her role.
and her acting is nothing but static. static acting means that someone is unable to give a different feel t their roles and they always have the same static-ness and play the same personality. this is not true for aya

i'm kinda 'late' to know about ueto aya. although i already knew about her 'azumi' movie in 2004, i still didn't even bother to try watching it that time. then last year, april of 2012, finally i decided to watch her 'azumi' movie & fell for her at first sight. if only i did try watching that movie in 2004, atleast i wouldn't regret so much on how much time i waste not knowing her . if only i knew her a little earlier....

My next one will be 'Koukou Kyoushi 2003' that seems to have a really interesting plot and very good actors besides Aya ♥
Thanks!!
PS Edit: I really hated this dorama! The story makes no sense at all... The only good point is Aya Ueto (of course), but I really don't recommend it...

Is it really necessary to watch the dorama...? It's very old (1983), plus 297 episodes (eternal)..... And... Aya is not there! (of course ) http://jdorama.com/drama.739.htm
I prefer to just watch the movie!
