The presentation ceremony of the 16th Hashida Awards for television took place on Saturday. The newcomer awards, which always receive the most attention, were given this year to actor Shun Oguri and actress Mao Inoue for their performances in drama series such as "Hana Yori Dango 2."

Other acting awards were presented to Tomohiro Sekiguchi, Mitsuko Kusabue, Kiichi Nakai, and the "Aibou" duo Yutaka Mizutani and Yasufumi Terawaki. Producer Kan Ishibashi, writers Ryoichi Kimizuka and Eriko Komatsu, and the drama series "Haken no Hinkaku" were also honored. Screenwriter Taichi Yamada was given a special prize.

Does this picture you posted have anything to do with the topic you're referring to?

I don't go on CR but you should check the original post date of that thread. Chances are that it's pretty old, around the time when HYD1 or 2 was airing. Even if this thread was new, it's not true anyway. Recently Shun has admitted to the media that he is dating Yamada Yu.

mao dating Shun??? craziness but not impossible, but shun is dating YU!
am still hoping on a inoue mao with yamapi or inoue mao with akanashi jin^^

about the rumors of shun and mao, if shun didn't go all public with his relationship with yamada yu recently it still seem teeny weeny bit possible

Don't believe any rumors until they are confirmed. Mao keeps her private life very secret to avoid any bad publicity from the media so even if she was dating anyone, we probably wouldn't hear about it. And the way you ask that question is like saying she has to be dating one or the other. If you read the previous posts on this page, the question whether Mao was dating Shun had already been answered. Shun is confirmed to be dating Yamada Yu. Matsumoto Jun is another story but rumors of them dating are mostly old rumors. Hope this clears some stuff up.

I just finished watching Kaidan. I was so happy when I found a copy at a DVD store but when I popped it into the player, all the English subs were messed up! It was like a regurgitated Babelfish version!

But luckily there were Chinese subs! (Although they weren't that great either). Mao looked very pretty in the movie, although her scenes were short. For some reason I don't think she's suited for horror...I like her more in roles that are light-hearted and fun. Let's hope we don't have to wait too long to see Hanadan out on DVD!

Ahh that's too bad her role in Kaidan was so small I wish someone would take the time to properly sub it to English... then I would probably watch it.

ats, the movie didn't seem too scary. I was more scared of the gore towards the end of the film than I was with the ghost bit. But then again, I was probably concentrating too much on reading the poorly translated subtitles than I was on the scary parts!

Another month till HYD! Can't wait for the promos coming up! (There will be...right?) Heehee!

lol Japanese timing for shows is so very weird. First, none of them start on the hour or half hour and then they go and have shows at times that don't exist! I guess 26:10 means 2:10AM? Im not sure but that's awful late ne? obviously it would be prerecorded but i'd think a hanadan interview would be more prime time...

Funny episode happened during filming.

On part2, Mao chan has slept holding ice.

This time, In Vegas, Mao chan slept while filling the bath tub up with water, it overflows and soaked all over the place.

Jun kun said "You're grown up now, You better stop doing those things."

Mao chan making excuses, "Because the schedule was so tight"

"While I returned to Japan by work, you had five days off?"

"I made Casino debut, and became so into it. Every night I was playing and returned late at night."

(Beginner's Luck, She won $1.000 at first time. And she ended up winning $4.000 total)

@kathiasophia: since they are rumors, even 1 drama and 1 SP still would be very unlikely. I kind of look at it as saying "hey this drama could happen or this one could happen or none at all"

Even if they're just rumours, it's still something to look forward to! It would be nice to see familiar faces like Shota and Nino.

Also can't wait to see Mao on another episode of Himitsu! So much to look forward to the next couple of weeks!~
