Oh, I absolutely LOVE this show. I caught episode 5 on channel 18 when I was visiting my parents and it got me interested enough to try to look for it online. Since then I've downloaded and watched all 22 episodes within a few days, it's THAT addicting. Lee Min Ki is so absolutely perfect as Bong Gi, I just want to give him a hug every time he gets his heart broken. The show has the perfect balance of comedy and pathos. I'm either laughing or crying at all the things going on. I can't wait for next weekend. It's too bad that they stopped doing the subtitled versions. I got my sister all interested in the show, but she won't watch it without a subtitle.

The whole, they thought they were siblings, even for a little while is rather skeevy so one would hope that they'd refrain from that coupling. Besides, what would be the point of having two people hate each other in the beginning if they don't even up loving each other in the end? I just want BongGi to be happy and get what he wants. He sure is sacrificing a lot for BongSoon.

Well, I seem up to episode 7...I must say this drama is FLAWED, like so many korea drama with the same story...I like the idea of eugene being a village girl coming to the big city...Within the first few episodes i also notice that the director don't really CARE about the SETTING as much...

Example...

When eugene nanny was dying and she was taken to the hospital, which was in Seoul...when the nanny dies she was cremated in Seoul...The doctor say goodbye to engene. Than Eugene goes back to her village...When she comes back to Seoul she acts like she never been to Seoul before...which was stupid...The director abviously thought the viewers was stupid or something.

The really big problem i had with this drama is the Doctor and his relationship with the President of Korean....This is the stupiest idea in the world. He's the son the President and NO ONE know who is IS...What the HELL...That make no sense to me at all....It's so stupid.

The korean sercet service has never look more fooliness before thanks to this drama...

Hmm.. Almost all dramas have a certain need to suspend disbelief, but since you're so vehemently flaming this one, I guess I'll rebut that little review.

First, Eugene's character came straight to a Seoul HOSPITAL where her grandmother DIED. She was CREMATED and the girl went back to the villiage. Now, in all those capitalized letters, and desolate to the point of unresponsive to the outside world, do you really think she went window-shopping and sight-seeing for God's sake? She probably didn't see any of Seoul at all except the hospital and the funeral home. Add to that she arrived in Seoul by ambulance (or his car? don't remember that part. I believe she rode in the ambulance), is it that hard to believe that coming back to Seoul would be a pretty new experience?

That part is very believable.

The second? You can think it's dumb all you want to, but it makes it interesting. Hiding the fact that your parents are high-powered bigshots has been repeated in K-dramas often enough that it's not unexpected. And there are several people running around who "know who he is", though a few of them who supposedly don't stretch the bounds of credibility more than a little.

I'll agree on the Secret Service looking pretty silly so far. It's a romantic comedy/drama. What do you want, Kim Ha Shakespeare??

If you're looking for highbrow, "thinking man's" entertainment, then you've picked the wrong genre to be watching. Enjoy it if you wish, leave it alone if you don't. Most people are watching for Eugene anyway, so cut it some slack (besides, it's not even 1/5 of the way done, it could change...)

The other thing that bottom me the annoying Nam Bong Gi, apparently he so stupid that he didn't know what the president son look like.... The fact that he's so stupid he's managed to become a sercet service agent is stupid....

I think it was episode 3 or 4 where there was a sercet service agent station at the hospital to keep an eye on our good doctor. Nam Bong Gi came to the hospital, he has no idea what or who the president son is, but the some how recognize his superior and start talking....Apparently, no everyone whom work at the Blue House know who the president son look like too...

This is probably the biggest Scandal in S. Korean history....

Oh this is a comedy, I just i should over look the lack of writting a proper story....

I am merely voiceing my opinon on this show....Apparently, i upset you my pointing out the stupid points about this show....

I even wonder if it's possible for a President to hide his son from the media and public in real life? I don't know if President Roh of S. Korea have a son? but if he were a doctor I am pretty sure the hopital staffs would know that he's the son of the President.

I will take your recommendation, I tend to watch shows that show sign of intelligences and realism not foolishness and stupidity...

Bong Gi knew of the name Jang Joon Won and knows the connection of the name to the President (from EP 2), he just never personally met the President's son to recognize him as thus.

You have yet to see the later epis eh? The reporters know who he is. The SCANDAL of this drama is that the President's son's wife has DEMENTIA, which has been kept hidden from the public.

The Chief/chief of doctors at the hospital knows he's the president's son, that's why he was able to get out of some duties that were put on him so that he could go visit his parents at the BH.

His co-workers wouldn't know who he is because he's only been a doctor in training for 2 years. He's been hiding his "President's son" status for much longer than that.

Also to add to aNToK, about Bong Soon and the city...when the funeral services for her Grandma were over, it was Joon Won who immediately brought her to the station to be taken back to her home. And when she first arrived in Seoul when her Grandma was taken to the hospital, it was Bodguard Nam who drove Joon Won's car...Joon Won was in the ambulance.

Hehe, I don't know why I even defend the doctor, he certainly doesn't deserve it.

So you're saying only people of high power know what the President son look Like? He has never taken a picture with in father for the media...Or even show up for his father election?

The President's son met his wife when he and she were both 20 years old. He's been the a president's son for at least that long.

the President's son has only been a doctor, rather a doctor in training, for only 2 years. In those 2 years time, if he's not working at the hospital, he immediately goes home to take care of his wife who's had dementia for 3 years.

In one of the epis, it was stated that NO ONE is allowed into the BH unless it's been authorized by the President/First Lady. The chance of of those who do not work directly in the BH itself to have seen the President/First Lady/First Son is slim.

There is more than 1 cafeteria at the Presidential home. There's one for the reporters, there's the main one at the BH, and then there's the 1 that BS landed a job at.

The President's son doesn't even live at the BH, and he hardly ever visits unless asked by his parents...those guards who would know who the President's son is are those who work in the family guard team. There's 3 types of presidential guards: forefront, family, and escort.

BK found out who JW was when he moved from being a forefront guard to the family guard team.

When diplomats were invited to the BH for dinner, the President's son was never there...and the BH has their own photographer...he has some control of what pictures can be taken.

I think we must also try to visualize what Korea's atmosphere was like in the 1970's (a good example is by watching KBS' Golden Apple), politically.

actually, that would be the last thing I do...And from the look of things, this drama is way out f anything realistic in korea politic, in the 70's or now with President Roh...

I just think drama was put together really fast and the producers really didn't pay any attentions to details that make a drama good, good. Details that make a drama more intelligent and more sense....

Heh. 5'9", 195 pounds, 7-8% bodyfat, bench 365 lbs last I checked, squat 650, former all-league defensive back in college and California regionals in track. Legs are a little short. I'd give myself a 7 or 8, my lady gives me a 10. I think there might be a pic or two in one of the few hundred post your pic thread pages, so you can decide for yourself.

Only a 10 on the **** scale? I must be slipping...

Ooh it was a good one yeah...
Especially because there wasnt the typical 'enemies' that make like a **** and half of the drama wasnt all memories or they werent sad all the time and the ending mh.. made sense aaaaaaaaaah mh it was a relief i think =O (sorry, just watched a shitty drama before this one, but with shmexy actors xD)

The male actors were u__u though leeminki acts too damn cute, cant deny that 8D .

I am very eager to watch this with good sub. I've heared that it's a good series plus the fact that Eugene is in it. Love that girl. She's so sweet. She was here in the Philippines few weeks ago and Filipinos were mesmerized by her simplicity and down to earth nature.

I read in the website, that Bong ki is the bodyguard of Jun won. But how come bong ki doesn't know that Jun Won is the president' son until episode 11 Bong ki just found out? If Bong ki doesn't know, why did he go to the mountain and look for Jun won in the 1st or 2nd episode? How they two know each other?Please someone help me,I have been dying to know about this.
