Hello im currently exploring old j dramas to find the gems

Im looking for old j dramas known classics if anyone has suggestions even j dramas from the 90's if you think they are worth mentioning. What are your favorite jdramas? i think the newer j dramas alot of them are lacking and theres some real deep ones found in the past

I Just finished watching Sekai no Chuushin de 2004 i have to admit it didnt make me cry or anything supposed to be a tear jerker it dragged on a bit, kinda disapointed =[

thanks for the list, they seem the types i would like, i was actually going to watch Koukou Kyoushi next. I have a question for you which one should i watch? 2003 or 90s one? i only really wanna watch one if its the same story which one is better do you think?

Personally I think the 1993 version is better.
The cast and story isn't exactly the same.
Some characters from the 1993 version appears in 2003.
Nojima Shinji is the screenwriter of both dramas, as well as Akira Senju and Morita Douji for the music.
1993 darker then 2003.

Think I got Mahiru no Tsuki on an external HDD.
I will check and re-seed it in a couple of hours if I have it.

I have it on DVDs, but at the moment I can't copy from them.

A very sad one too "Koufuku no Ouji" but i can't find any raw anymore, if you can find it i'm interested to get it back too :p

Konya wa Eigyouchu (1999). This drama stars Kimura Takuya, Esumi Makiko and Matsu Takako, it is about the making of a drama and I have always wanted to see it. When I was in Japan after the tsunami,I was looking for it. This Friday I leave for Japan again and will look for it again.

"Kyosokyoku" aka Concerto is nice
"For you" and "Oregon Kara Ai" are good too.
