its always sad to loose a pet, its like you're loosing a family member. Maybe in the future you'll feel okay to get another pet to bring you joy!skachild wrote:i use to have a dog.... for 5 years....

Hey I'm also allergic to hairy animals,but guess what? I'm not allergic to my cat! hahawakaba wrote:No pets, I'm allergic to anything hairy.
I'd love to have an aquarium, though.
well I heard (and was told) that this kind of allergy could go away by over exposure to the animal.. not sure how to explain this,but anyway.. when we first got the cat,I would sneeze a lot during the first week,but then I just got used to her and now she sleeps next to my face every night hahaha
I read that even though I'm not allergic to her,but I could be to other cats ^^;
- I got 2 turtles and 1 cat xD
I've posted pictures on the Animal Show thread http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopic_28624_15.htm
Oh, I know! We actually looked for our friends' dog for a week during this vacation and allergic-wise, it wasn't as awful as it could've been. Still, having a pet (especially a dog) is a big responsibility and I'm not sure if my schedule allowed me to be committed to spend so much time with one. I prefer cats, which tend to be more independent, but I'm actually more allergic to those than dogs. ^_^;;CraZyaH wrote:Hey I'm also allergic to hairy animals,but guess what? i got one cat, a green-eyed, long-haired white & tabby, neutered tom, been with me about seven or eight years now...
i got him from a friend's ex-wife who was superstitious about cats and babies...
she was a hectic crazy **** (for a living she used to shoplift to order, electrical items a specialty), and he's still of a somewhat nervous disposition...
he was originally called Bubbly (named by one of her kids), but i thought this was sadly lacking in the machismo department, so i re-named him keeping the major consonant sounds, so he is now called B-BOY!
unfortunately he's so pretty everyone mistakes him for a girl: my mum once said to him "good girl B-Boy!"
oh well, if i wanted a macho pet i woulda got a pit bull, not a fluffy white pussycat...
can u tell, btw, i really love my cat?!
