What's Your Favorite Album?

Post by ruisu » Jan 20th, '07, 03:12

I'm looking to expand my musical tastes. It seems like I've been listening to the same handful of albums for years now, and I know there's a lot of good stuff out there that I just haven't heard yet. So, if you have an album that you can listen through fully, I'd love to check it out. I like anything but screamo/heavy metal type stuff (excluding Nirvana )

Dir en grey - Vulgar

Oh wait, that would classify as heavy metal type stuff...

If you want to listen to it though here it is. It's J-Rock / Visual Kei.

I own the CD so I ripped/encoded it to MP3 and included the lyrics in both English and Japanese. That CD seriously kicks ass. Every song on it is orgasmic. <3

The music video for Obscure (from Vulgar) is in my sig. I encoded that from DVD as well.

Hey Aen, thanks for the recommendation, but I already checked out that band. I found 'em after hearing about Gazette. I'm not really into it though. Visual Kei is a bit much for me, and I don't like the sound. Gazette has a couple of cool songs...but most of those bands songs just make me push the skip button (no offense).

That stuff sounds good and all, but I guess so do boy bands over here. :P I guess I should mention that I'm not into popish R&B either.

Anything! Sometimes I like when I don't know what they're saying. Hence my love for Sigur Rós.

Gonna take your word for it, this will definitely be a first [never listened to German or Electronic (sans Radioheads' "stranger" stuff) before]. I'm downloading the LE of Chaos Total now =)
