I am watching Goong all over again in the mornings on TV, He really makes a perfect royal Prince. So elegant and reserved and nothing fancy. Such a lover for a rather ditsy girl.

Ah, Jihun-ah...
I can't stop watching the army musical and pics from it. He's so mature, yet sweet-smiled in it. Although he plays villain in it.

SBS’ upcoming drama ‘Daepungsu’ postponed

I hope it's not really cancelled.

Yes, heard about that on his board, but all fans were a bit iffy about that. And yes, SBS likes to play like that. I wouldn't be surprised if they cancel it at all.

I really feel like rewatching Goong, The Naked Kitchen and Antique Bakery. Almost started yesterday but then just ended up watching clips of the best scenes. Would rewatch The Devil too but it's too long... and sad.

Give us this man already!! :lol

in devil, he was his best self of an actor i think. so i think he was very GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

Posted: Oct 10th, '11, 19:58
by Viande
Hmm I thought it was the opposite. I didn't like his acting at The Devil. At the beginning of the drama he was very stiff (maybe it was the character or just bad acting) but it got a bit better at the end. Antique Bakery then again was great because his characeter was totally different from the other roles he had played. Naked Kitchen was nice too.

I like Jihun because of his off-screen persona, so perhaps this is why I'm more lenient and forgivable. In Antique he showed what he didn't in The Devil, that is potential.

True. I did like him more in Antique. Acting-wise. Well, actors usually get more chances to shine in movies than in series.

Posted: Oct 11th, '11, 06:43
by fatemeh_31358
it was the point. he was supposed to be stiff considering his life and he was supposed to loosen up for love.

Freaking awesome musical - Doctor Zhivago (weeping story, heartbreak, ohoho). Let's hope they won't make the same mistake as with recent Zorro^^

At last he will be back. What a marvellous role for him on stage. He will do it well. I think he played all his roles within the range they required. I remember someone said he was 'stiff' as the prince in 'Goong.' actually I thought he did it just right. he was of royal family and brought up in the palace. No kind of rapport with ordinary people and required to be perfectly on guard and rigid at all times. He would have fitted in very well with any real Royal Family of the last century. Not so sure of this one...

Antique showed his versatility besides being a juicy role and a perfect drama to watch. Cast must have had a ball this time even with the hard work put in.

Hope they will soon have him in a drama or film. I can wait but not too long. Panting......

What aare they doing to JiHoon.
I just saw him on the variety show 'Happy together. He was fine but he looked nervous. Then I saw him in the last scenes of a drama called 'Weird Family.' He was not in it all the way through and then they give him a couple of lines and that's it?
This man is an actor and experienced. Why are they still penalizing him. Now I read that he is going to be in a new drama and already the netizens are up in arms that he is not worthy? what is it with these people in Korea.

Welcome back JiHoon and gain some weight and be happy.

As always, your voice should be louder.
I'm also infuriated re: the treatment this man gets, but what can we do, since no PD or people in Korea listen to worldwide, normal fans.
He's getting new drama and it's all I care. I want him to kick all his haters right in the balls!
Plus, he really could get more weight on...

Ethlenn,
I just saw some photos of JiHoon in a magazine series of ads he was doing very recently. I am horrified to see how thin and gaunt he looks. Really there is one photo where he looks as tho he just came out of a concentration camp. What are they doing to this man. He needs food and someone to make sure he eats on time. He needs to put on at least ten pounds or more and some muscle to be fit and well again. He does not look like he did in the army shows that he and Joon Ki did.

MBC and KBS are banning Ji Hoon from acting for them or being on their stations. Crazy place, They do like to crucify people.

Posted: Jul 8th, '12, 21:10
by Peggy
There won't be much change in KBS or MBC until the present political situation changes.
People in power have corrupt executives in place, and they don't seem to know how to run programmes much less deal with actors and their agencies.

G-Dragon had marihuana accident yet Big Bang appeared on music shows. Executives lack of any consistency.

Jihun paid heavily for his mistake (and it wasn't all his fault, to tell the truth too), he shouldn't get the treatment he's getting now. :cussing:

Posted: Jul 9th, '12, 21:07
by Peggy
Yes that is true. However, G.Dragon was in Japan I think so maybe that would make them a little calmer in the official hysterics in Korea. In my estimation it was a storm in a teacup anyway.
I never did hear what happened to the two(?) people who were smuggling the drugs into Korea who were caught when the blow up occurred with Ji Hoon. He was not part of that and indeed I thought he was honest to even admit to using, and for such a one time thing with the police. always thought there was more to that story and more people involved who did not come forward.

Peace to Ji Hoon now and let him get on with his career
.
KBS and MBC in more trouble than all this at the mment. Politics involved from the highest level now.

8) So glad to hear that Ji Hoon has a drama coming out. Can't wait. and he is doing a comedy which will surprise a lot of people. I think he did rather well with the stagework in the military group. I do hope he is putting on a little weight. He did scare me when he was on the Happy time show. so thin and very nervous looking.
He needs a lot of encouragement and people to shout out for him now.

Drama and movie, to just add. "I Am The King" is a comedy, and I'm glad it will be a light work for him, some goofing around and nothing depressing.
