i have no idea when the exact release date is. i have been trying to ask ppl in here but i guess no one knows for sure. if its exactly mid feb then it would be on a tues, but that would be unusual.

Attached is a torrent that has some the themesong and behind the scenes/commercials or something. It says its coming out 3/27 on some tv station...I dunno for sure.

Time to reset expectations. Basically, tho the director and production seem to have done well. Post-production seems to have gone way over schedule and has not done well (probably due to budget issues) ... Hence the push back to mid/late Feb ...

According to Sina.com's report, Zhang JiZhong has yet to sell the broadcast right to his TV show, Shen Diao Xia Lu, but the VCD package version will be going to the market first, ahead of time. The GuangDong based company, announced on the 24th of January, that the VCD package version will be a 46 episodes series. It will be released nationwide in China on February 6, 2005.

Actually, the VCDs and DVDs from China are so cheap that it's almost cheaper to import them than to press your own. Many stores sell the licensed versions at prices comparable to pirate versions. flushing and chinatown both have many stores ... but it's hard to figure out which are REALLY officially licensed and which are not ... Frankly, they have the same problem in China ...

the only stuff that I'm sure is properly licensed is the ETTV stuff ... everything else ....

HXM looks like he's tired...well...can't blame him. sometime he had to work 20+ hours a day. one time...the makeup crew had to hold up his head because he was half asleep/half awake.

OMG I was scanning the threads and saw this man. No matter how much photoshop is done Bi still won't fit the role and the girl is just plain old and not pretty, now I didn't say ugly but she's not pretty either. I love Bi-Rain for his cuteness: his eyes make a straight line when he laughs, his smile, awesome dancer and singer. Obviously I'm a fan but he doesn't have the aura to be in ancient costume role. His eyes might be the problem.

yeah...but eventually the DVD will come out...hopefully, the deleted and extra scenes are included in the series. willing to cough up $200 for the series.

They are all supposed to be adaptation of the same jin yong novel. However, they each make their own deviation. It's inherently difficult to bring this kind of stuff to screen.

If it's out in Vietnam they would probably have only one voice translating everything

better to wait for the VHS or watch the original hoping someone would sub it than watch it with translation in VN, you'll only ruin the drama doing so.

true... but only to the ppl that havent watched ROCH yet... i have watched all the diff. yrs of ROCH so many times i know the story so well, so it doesnt matter if its RAW or 1 lang. dubbed (even tho that would be very annoying). i'll just wait for the eng subs
