that is a lie. i have never mentioned the word 'OST' in any of my posts. i said they are ROCH songs and some MVs that i have ripped(doesnt mean its in ROCH). you should read more carefully next time.

Anyhow, I just wanted to report that I got the TaiSeng version yesterday. It was only $32! I thought it was a great deal. It was at one of the Jian Dong branch stores in Flushing. If you are buying in the NY area (or the west coast), you can use that as a reference price for bargaining with your local retailer.

I didn't open it yet. I'll get to it probably end of this week, after I finish up ep 11

I'll give a review of the media like I did of the Zoke version afterwards

The actual Taiseng version? I know that you can get store-copies for <20, but not the authentic TaiSeng version. I've not heard $3 tho

... where? even with cheap media @20cents apience, that's 1.6 in media costs alone... not to mention the power consumed by burning process (I've estimate that to be 10+ cents / disk @ 8x at current con-ed prices)

So far I enjoy watching this series... it's a great remake with beautiful actress

However, I still like the previous version better esp the one with andy lau in it. I think Louis kho version is still better than this one.... I expect something better for 2006 version.
I dunno how to describe this.. but in some particular fighting scene.. it's just a bit weird... fighting with umbrella, seems like dancing rather than fighting. Too many cgi that is unnecessary.
Another big turn off.. the guys like to hug each other... and it's too much... euuwww.. I'm sorry probably I'm not cultural oriented toward this.. but I found the scene when guo er hug his godfather and rolled together... it's just a bit annoying.
That's my honest opinion... but I still like the series regardless.

It is going to be aired soon here in the Philippines, too. Funny thing is that a rival network got Chinese Paladin and is going to air it also. It's the kind of funny that makes you shake your head because of the rivalry.

hmmm in detail, for sure the actress in this series have met expectation LYF... is plain gorgeous...hahhaa..
I've watched 2 previous series before, and seeing this one the story plot is predictable yet kinda confusing. I don't see the romance part to be as touching as in the previous series, this is sad since it's suppose to be a romantic action series. LYF should have saved her loving expressionand affection till guo er grew up I think... I guess I'm expecting more romantic touch for the series.. and of course outstanding actions that looks confincing... this one seems too artistic and graphic oriented...
Still this is a good remake despite of the hugging part... I hope this won't be the next trend for guys.

I was asking what you expected better from what you said from the quote. LYF as an expectation? That does not answer the question of expectation.

How about guys kissing each other cheeks? Some cultures do that stuff for formal greeting. You might have seen it in person, on tv, news photos ..... that's totally normal to their culture.

I think the original version back in the 80's will be better. The mystery of the movie is not there anymore. You basically knows what happens. Also, you critique the new actors based on how the old ones acted and sometimes will think they can't act. Just like people who sings pop saliva.

in reading some of the previous posts...gotta put my 2 cents in...I prefer this version vs the other versions that I've seen...of course I haven't seen the 1st one (from the 80's if my memory serves me right) I think this version is by far the best in quality and actors/actresses...yea some of the fight scenes are really cheesy but what does one think when referring to an old school kung-fu drama? duh!

There are 41 episodes to this series. If you really want to download the series then just download it using Bittorrent, that way you won't have to worry about going through the korean-reading part hehe. But I think murizzon or something like that (sorry) has it somewhere in his clubbox. You should checkout The Official Clubbox Threat to find it =)

i just start dling and saw up to two episodes...like it so far...haven't watch a ancient chinese series for ages and i was amazed with this serie. I love the scenery, it's beautiful.
