Which is your favourite Taiwanese drama?

ISWAK. That's the only taiwanese drama I have seen. I felt curious after seeing the subtitle thread jump to 150 pages +, so I started watching it and it was pretty good.

i didn't know we were back in the 90's. just keeeeedding

none so far. anything to recommend?

From this list, my favs are 100% Senorita, Prince turns to Frog, and Meteor Garden. If I had to choose one, then it would be 100% Senorita.

i like both meteor garden n 100% senorita...
but i think my vote goes for meteor garden... i like the "dao ming si" there haha....
though i dont like the sequel, MG2, at all...

i meant to vote for MARS but accidently did meteor garden. Mars is so well crafted and the plot never gets boring. with the other ones that i've seen, the plot got kind of slow sometimes. MARS also had a great OST. the acting wasn't "exaggerated" too, like what some actresses do.

Wow it started with a kiss really raked in the votes. In my opinion it wasn't all that great. It could use with more sparks between the ariel and yuan chang. Devil Beside You is another great fave of mine eventhough i voted for the prince turned into frog. DBY loss out because i did not really like the ending. Oh and magician of love is not ended yet so can't vote on it yet.

i agree with this totally. my vote went to DBY though the ending could have used a bit of an improvement. i also liked frog prince but i enjoyed DBY more.

it started with a kiss is nice. there are enough scenes to keep us interested but overall there should have been more romantic scenes between the 2 leads. he may have a 200IQ but he probably has a 75IQ when it comes to love.

Well, for me these drama r niCe but sOme just lack of erm cast, most of them r new actor or actress tat act badly..

at first i didnt even like this drama... but watching a few eps i started to like it

devil beside you is also ok, but i only liked the beginning of the serie... the last few eps were kinda boring... that goes the same for mars... loved the beginning, but the last few eps were also kinda boring to me....
thats why..... i vote for iswak!! ^^

I love It started with a kiss and especially Devil Beside You, but for me, the best story is Mars. So I vote for this one. But DBY is very near behind

Meteor Garden was very disappointing although i like very much the manga. And actors wasn't really good. It's a pity.

But they really improved very well in Mars

I haven't seen the others drama yet.

I still need to watch Mars (is it really that good?) and Love Magician.

Mars definitely. It was superior in acting and in story.

hey,no way..prince turns into frog is the one which made me in loOve with taiwanese drama..

Hmmmm...alot of those are my faves, but i would have to go with ISWAK. Hopefully there will be a drama thats as good as ISWAK soon!

Yes, "Mars" was very good, and so much better than the rest...but "Meteor Garden" will still always be my all-time favorite.

i was actually going to watch prince turns to frog or love magician... but i didnt because i dont really like the male main character...
though i love the girl from sweety in love magician... watched mr fighting and i love her performance

I really liked Prince who turned into a frog, but then again, Mars is probably my most favorite one out of the list. But my most favorite taiwanese drama is probably Heaven's Wedding Gown.

it was really hard for me cause I love Mars, Meteor Garden, and DBY...but I'm gonna have to go with Mars - my ultimate fav T-drama

From the list, i love mars, prince turns into frog (i fall in love with Dan Hou ^__^) and meteor garden ( but i don´t like the Dao ming Si there >__<). I liked ISWAK, but is very silly.. Now, I´m watching DBY, but i prefer the manga.

I've only watched It Started With A Kiss but I loveeeed it. I tried reading the fanfic for Meteor Garden and just couldn't continue to be interested

But yeah I loved the fanfic AND the drama for ISWAK so *dies* I'm still looking for the Manga to buy ^^

Definitely It started with a Kiss for me, although MG and Prince who turn to Frog are close behind!

I also had trouble choosing between DBY ISWAK and MG.. I am just a sucker for romance

In the end I went with ISWAK. The character development is much better there, the ending is SO much more satisfying, and it had the perfect dog in it (I mean what dog chooses dog biscuits over KFC, honestly!)

This was a tough one, especially because some of the series are just so different - from the darker, more serious Mars, to the light, funny ISWAK and DBY... I eventually chose Mars, because OMG, it's just so great, but ISWAK and DBY are definitely very high on my list of favorites.

I picked Meteor Garden because it was my first drama I ever watched and I loved it!!! The bickering is sooo funny!! Plus I love F4! ^_^ Umm...second would definately be Devil Besdie You. I dunno how It Started with a Kiss is winning with the poll....O_o I thought it was soo long and it dragged out A LOT! The beginning episodes were hilarious and absolutely loved it!! I also like the last 2 episodes but that's it. No offense to those who loved it. If they shortened it and added more cute and funny parts, it would definately be one of the best. Just my opinion. ^_^

urmm well meteor garden was my first and i have always love it.so meteor garden for me but i also like mars and iswak

Yeah....Ariel was a bit annoying....but I give her props for her acting skills tho. I only watched a couple of Love Contract episodes and I think I like her personality in that one. ^_^

I really liked ISWAK, devil besides you and prince turn to frog and the ultra famous meteor garden (only the first, of course^^).
Another great one that wasn't in the choice is Reaching for the stars.

I just started ISWAK today... and I downloaded the soundtrack... all in all.. the plot's pretty cute.... one of those things that you don't necessary need to indulge in fudge brownie ice cream and tears to enjoy... because it's so happy

... so naive...

AND I LOVE IT... but I haven't cast my vote in yet.... I'm still undecided...

my num 1 would be FROG PRINCE because i love the chemistry of the lead...

Joe Cheng and Ariel Lin were adorable, and you have to hand it to Ariel for her acting. Her crying scenes are really real, and she pulled it off so well even though her character's completely different from the LC one. Some might find the Xiang Qin character kinda annoying, but hey, at least she's faithful in love xD

It's a nice change having something light, fun, and have good character development. It was really cute watching Zhi Shu becoming more and more open and accepting of Xiang Qin ^^

but its Ge Dou Tian Wang(Mr. Fighting) that made me start to watch Taiwanese Dramas..i thought it's super nice, every episode is exciting..and there's two love stories in it that are both interesting, unlike most dramas..the sub love story usually not as nice.

It was very hard to choose, but overall it came down to Started with a Kiss. Mars would have been my next choice.

so far i've only seen devil beside you, it was really good. i think i'll try mars next. meteor garden would probably be weird cause i finished hana yori dango. does anyone know if the too are a lot alike?

I watched the beginning of HYD. I think only the plot is the same. MG is funnier, brighter and the actors are not that serious. HYD is a little dark and pessimistic at times.

I've watched MG, Mars and ISWAK. And ISWAK was absolutely the best I've ever watched. Currently watching Devil Beside You and then Love Contract <3

I think Love magician,Meteor Garden, It started with a kiss and The prince who turns into a frog are the better ones... I was sort of struggling while watching Mars and still have yet to complete devil beside you...100% Senorita is not bad too though

it has to be Devil Beside You. I've watched ISWAK too.. but perharps my expectation was too high and got disappointed especially with the girl.. she is so desperate that it sort of pisses me.. hahaha makes me angry with her actions .. sorry for those who idolises this show but I've to admit the guy is cool... ermm abit too cool for such romantic dramas...

Definitely have to agree. I hated Ariel's character in ISWAK. She was too dang desperate! ahh honestly i dont see what was the big deal with it.

The ending was cute though. Anyways my vote went to Devil Beside you becuz it was a.) my first ever tiawanese drama and b.) i love mike and rainie together! But Mars and MG1 is up there also. And so is Magicians of love (which im currently watching) and Prince Frog. It's really hard to choose becuz they are all sooo good!

Green Forest, My Home is the best as Leon Jay Williams and Ruan Jingtian are both it.
