ok, I did it that way. I opened the dat-file of the VCD with the BS Player (google "BS Player", dl and install it). Then you have the option to load subtitle (see picture). So just look for the sub file, open it and enjoy the drama. If you use the BS Playser you don't have to rename anything.

Yes, I don't think the sequel is as good as the first part. But it's ok if you take into consideration that it's only 3 episodes long. At least people can enjoy Ambrose and Rainie which are both pretty popular.

Little trick for playing rmvb, dat, etc. files with subs? Make sure your codecs to play the files are installed, then rename your .dat, .rmvb, etc. files to match the subs and change the extension to .avi and play them in Media Player Classic (included in the RealAlternative download, among many other places....)

'course you can do it that way but I still need to find a good programm to convert my dat file into avi + if you are too lazy and just want to use the VCD then the BS Player is perfect. Actually I using 4 or more Players for different files.

OK, make it easy: Use VCDGear to extract the mpeg file from the .dat, load that puppy into AutoGK, and presto! Avi file fully compatible with anything that plays Xvid files.

Isn't "Hou Tien My Nu" the drama in which Ambrose voice is dubbed and which is named Lavender 2 in Yesasia? If that's the case I am not interested. I got a copy and the quality was horrible + the story line wasn't too interesting for me. as for the other drama never heard about them before. If you have it maybe you can ul it and see wether someone will be interested.

Don't think there are english subs for "sound of colours" yet. I am still trying to get all episodes. so I haven't watched it yet.

maybe I am really going to try to convert one dat-file into avi. But isn't rmvb better to convert sth into a rather small file size with reasonable quality? Just asking 'cause i was thinking to ul one drama but with an ul speed of 16-20kb/s it'll take me forever.

I dont think Hou Tien My Nu named as Lavender 2. There is Penny Lin in it also. I got all the dramas from d-addicts, but in Chinese, that's why could not watch it

Before I got Sound of colors by torrent file from here also, I think it must be a good one

Mmm... rmvb is decent for smaller filesizes, but results are a bit mixed depending on the quality of the source. With the quality of this source and the total time of the episodes, Xvid or Divx6 will offer just as high quality as rmvb while keeping them small enough to fit on 1 cd. I've got 3 different filtered versions of episode 1 encoded, just deciding whether to use a softer picture to minimize the pixellated look at the expense of some sharpness, or bumping up the noise reduction and sharpness a tad for a harder, but more defined picture. Leaning towards the softer picture at the moment. Easier on the eyes. Also, more sharpness needs a higher bitrate to encode well, and with the filesizes we're looking at, the trade-off between size and quality seems to favor a softer picture
Fairly minor corrections to the subs, mostly to do with smooth grammar and some noun/pronoun things.

So are we looking at me uploading the edited vid with hardsubs by individual eps or waiting until all the eps and special are subbed and releasing them as a batch? If I upload them individually, we can get feedback on whether people prefer the softer or sharper picture and adjust accordingly for the remaining eps.

NE thoughts?

I have another series by Penny Lin called 100% Senorita. You will love her in this drama. I did.

Don't know. you are the expert. If you want to get some feedback you should release it one by one. If you don't want to get them do as you please.
Correct the subs as much as you want. I am not a native English speaker so I do know that there are a lot of mistakes. actually I always had a problems with English grammar and the noun/prnoun things. as well as adjective and adverbs. So you should check that, too.
Shall I search for an editor? It's the editor who correct grammar or spelling mistakes, right? (Know that you are correcting any mistakes but I were thinking about the softsubs)

Hmm... Penny Lin. Isn't she also in Summer I love you? The first 5 episodes are available here on d-a. But without subs.

Heh, don't worry gixo. I'm probably the most anal subtitle editor around here when it comes to grammar and punctuation, etc. so I'll be editing it as I go along before burning the final file for release.

Sorry, as I already stated before my ul rate isn't really that high, so it'll take me quite a long time to ul that file. I don't have that time 'cause I am already ul other stuff. And they do have a higher priority right now. And if I start ul the files to ysi or megaul for you then people who can't dl from megaul would beg me to ul to sendspace for them. (actually some already did ) Maybe someone else here can be so nice to ul them for you. Or you have to dl the hardsubversion.

Hello all! For those who haven't or can't get the files that were uploaded, be patient and stop bugging gixo for re-ups already!!!

Ep 2 will be uploaded as soon as I get TOE ep 10 up. Had to rebuild my computer this weekend and recover 230 gigs of drama files my dumb butt almost lost. I have to re-edit the subs and filter again, but I should have ep 2 posted by tomorrow evening.

The name of the opening song is "hua xiang" sang by Ambrose .ou can find the OST on the welove OST side. Look at the links of interests on the left side of the home page here. btw. the other name's song sang by him is "xing fu de Zhun Jian"

No no, those are for the first series, the Opening song for Hua Xiang is different, I already have Hua Xiang and Xing Fu De Zhun Jian from the first Lavender. I'm trying to find the opening of the Continuation.

Take a look at this side. As far as I remember some of the songs here can be found on Hua Xiang.

Just my luck...I always seem to not check back at the right time to see if it's been uploaded for direct download again or not. Missing 3 and special (but have to dl 1 and 2 again because my brother deleted it off his hard drive today - - luckily the megaupload links still work for these two eps).

Anyone kind enough to ul 3 and special, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm stuck with torrent on 3 at 99.6% since March. The others aren't even close to halfway done so I've given up completely. My thanks to anyone who does have it and can ul them.
