asafrommaui, It's coming on today on KIKU at 5PM HST under the name "Red & White Song Contest". In Maui that is channel 10.

It was also broadcast 7PM last night and noon today on 18.2 UTB Hollywood in the LA area. It was in letterboxed 640x480, so the quality was really bad. Didn't bother to record it, just watch last night for an hour or two before heading out for last night new year eve dinner.

But I am currently SLOWLY downloading the .ts capture of the Japan broadcast. It's 30GB and i am currently only 7% done...
