I think the first episode premiered on January 1st on BS Premium, and it's going to premiere tonight on NHK World, but I was wondering if anyone was planning to upload NHK's Kaitakushatachi, aka. The Pioneers, on the site so that some fansub group could pick it up if they wanted.

It stars Mitsushima Hikari in a 4-part docu-drama to celebrate 40 years of Sino-Japanese relations, and from the clips it seems to have a lot of potential. Plus, Mitsushima is a pretty great actress from what she's shown in her latest projects.

I'm crossing my fingers for someone to pick this up!! I've been searching online and I seem to be the only one expecting this project haha.

I want to see it, too, really! if I recall it correctly, this is the first drama with Hikari as the main role.
I absolutely want and need to watch it, but i see no one uploading this drama

Ah I hope someone subs this too! I love Mitsushima Hikari. I think it'll be hard to find anyone who'll sub this eh? Since it's a docu-drama AND historical. Would really love to watch it though.

anyone knows the airing schedule? maybe we can see it from keyhole then..

If you understand Chinese, you can download from here using the Chinese client/software Xunlei. There is Chinese hardsub with the video. Sorry I can't upload to another site now.

@AlmaFlower I don't think it has. Checked Jpsubbers, and Amazon Prime (in case it would be available there). Also checked the Fansub Maps to see if anyone else had translated it, but no one had.
