but generally most of the names really sound old and strange

Mine came out as Akane Akatsuka. Akane seems like a pretty common Japanese name, or at least, I've heard of it often. Nice thread, btw. I remember there was a similar website like this which gives you even the meaning of the names. It's pretty cool.

1st. Gemmei Hyobanshi
2nd. Seiryo Sekine -> I like this one
