I read the note about the new topic post here..
it said that we could request subs that we know have been done before right?
I read that the subs for Stand up were made before as a complete sub drama but I had search all the subs topics for this and I couldn`t find them
were they really made?
were they erased and does anyone have them still?

The VCD copy of Stand Up were hardsubbed. However the quality is really low, but you can still download it. The lq version is in 7 parts. (consisting of 1,5 eps).

Jisatsu is busy uploading the HQ version. Subbers (both soft and hard) have taken an interest in the series. So soon we might hear good news about subs coming out for the HQ version.

I think I read that someone was working on subs for the HQ release, from either Shun's LJ community or Nari's. However, the person's probably still working on it. Ah! I think she/he was working from the VCD version? Can't remember....

I`ll wait for the HQ subs too coz now I finish downloading episode 5 so I think that`s a better option but still thank you very much for offering your help

i'm for the moment working on the subs with help from Jisatsu (again thx)
I'm hoping to release it soon but you'll have to wait a least a week.
Next week i have a test of Japanese, after that test i will work on the subs and i'm hoping to release episode 1 and 2 for +-01/12

my tests are now finished, so i can finally start the subbing tomorrow
sorry for the delay.

There is a hard-sub group that's planning on subbing the series, please be patient. It will definately be worth it.

then i won't sub stand up, it would be stupid that 2 differents persons subs the same series.
For the moment i have free time, so i'm open for everything.
If somebody has suggestions which serie he/she would like to see subbed, tell me.

Actually that was meant that new threads should be posted for offering help, not requesting.

I think you misunderstood the rules posted in the Subtitle forum. It's actually that you can only request the post of softsubs that you are sure exist AND are permitted here. It's pretty rare that we miss anything, but there are certain subs that we cannot post here. It's pretty safe to say we don't allow any requests 99.9% of the time since we tend to have most of what's out there....

Stand Up was hardsubbed, not softsubbed (as everyone pretty much said anyway).

this has nothing to do with subtitles... but when i first saw this - i was so shocked by what was aired. O_O!!!!

@kamui6: i read that jtv has the stand up! dvds aquired... i suppose that means your group will do the hardsubs? if that's the case, it might be a good idea to update that info in future projects in the fansubbing forum...
if it's not you guys doing it and no one knows who this group is, is there a point to chrisse not doing softsubs?
if i missed any pertinent information on this, would appreciate the heads-up...

Same here...it took a while for them to dl...plus they're like, 700mb a pop on my hd...700 x 5...
Also, i don't really see the problem with soft subs as many dramas have both a hard and soft sub group Eg: Hana Yori Dango (both groups are working individually and both are doing an awesome job!)

Actually...i think there's like...3 groups doing HYD...but thats besides the point lol!

Anyway! If there IS anyone out there willing to DO the soft sub....i don't see why it would be such a huge taboo seeing as a hard sub was already done as well.

Of course, i don't know all the ins and outs of the subbing world so i can't really say anything heh...i just know from what I've seen so...yeh!

as far as I remember there were plans for both softsubs and hardsubs and both groups announced that they didn't mind the other group doing other version. I don't know if something changed since than or not tho

well it looks like chrisse has decided not to go with subbing this if you look further up in the thread, this is why i'm asking... if no one is specifically stating that they will hardsub stand up!, i don't see any reason for chrisse to abandon this as a lot of people would probably appreciate it... not looking to stir the pot here, but it would be cool to know if the project is actually being worked on or has disappeared in the "future projects" drawer of doom without anyone even knowing whose drawer it is...

this is right because nobody knows something about this group. I'm sure that I'm not only who would like to know if they'll subtitle for this drama

K, here's the plan; JTV and NYA hopes to do a joint project for "Stand up!". It will most likely start in january [I don't mean the release but the actual work on the files]. Please be patient, when we have things ready on our end we will definately announce release dates.

2) Is nudity allowed to be shown on air like in the last episode with the nun?

From what I understand, it was a contest in Japan when the show was first aired. The viewer who guessed what was on the T-Shirt won some sort of prize.

on the nudity thing. I thought it might have been censored when it was aired but later uncensored in dvd/vcd forms.

Only ack-basswards monotheistic cultures ban frontal nudity of women on tv, like America and the middle east. They have to be both backwards AND monotheistic, not just one or the other. hah

I just watched the files from yourtube and they seems to be the last episode, so you may not wanna watch them if you haven't watched this series before. Correct me if I'm wrong. However, it seems to be a fun series with so many hot young actors.

If you don't want to wait for the soft subs, you may want to grab the VCD version, which contains all 11 eps with hard subs.

like we said last time, the translators will tell us when they're done.
I don't know if there is a rule or not for asking these questions, but anyhow it's really annoying for the translator/timer/etc when they're getting these questions.

(and no, i'm not involved in the stand up subs project. just used to translate anime and I know how annoying it is)
