After confirming the Hong Kong version DVD having English subs on yesasia, we (Nya!)have decided to go ahead and sub this movie as planned. As far as we know the HK versions are never accurate with their translations. (I know for a fact they aren't since most of my anime and dramas come from there, and it drives me nuts!!><) Therefore we decided to keep this project alive. We will let y'all know when it's available.^^

well..im thinking coz D-Addicts Wiki is only about dramas...and actors/actresses in Dramas...lol..im not sure..u better ask the admin on that one..but i think that's the main reason..im sure u can find it sumwer else on Wikipedia tho..just not on the DA one..

Question about the release, are you sure that it will be out on 27th, october 2006 ? It's written on your yesasia link that the release is expected to be the 27th november.

I add another question about the book, what exactly is the volume 13 about ? I read the 12 books, but you wrote about a volume 13. I didn't found really much informations about it, some stuff like it's a guidebook. Do we learn really much ? Or is it just things we allready know ?

Yeah, actually, they got Red hot Chilli Peppers to do a special song just for the movie, so it was never before released to the public people.

Cool! I don't really like changes directors make from book to film but the ones in Deathnote were relatively okay. Kya!! L looks like L and I heard he put alot of effort into his role so yeah. And I don't like how Light looks in the movie.. T_T No more good-looking light... ><

Erm....as I mentioned before, Nya! fansubs will be subbing this movie. And even though it was shown on TV, and you may see it as a TV special, it still is a movie.

I've been dying to see the movie without words in the background or crappy ass quality

I respect my drama and WOULD NEVER watch them in poor quality (less than 200mb for 1 hr drama)! *true drama freak talking here

* I hope 1.63GB is just the quality I'm looking forward to see!

I take Japanese in school so having a super high quality raw version is actually good for me.

I'm going to download a HS version later too if that's all there is available or it's what I find first... hehe.

Nya! never does softsubs...don't believe in it. And yeah, it may be quicker, but I personally don't think it's better. It's a simple preference. Plus, if you're talking about the TV special raw, that is not the whole movie. There were scenes cut out to condense the movie for time reasons. We haven't officially decided whether we are gonna use this version of the movie as like a preview to the DVD version, but we will definitely be using the DVD raw as soon as it's out.

And yes Nya! does upload on CB. You just gotta look in the right place. We also do megaupload as well.

Nya is currently working on the project according to their site. There is no such thing as a definite date on when ANY fansubs will be released. The best answer is that it will be posted when it is done. Also, you should keep in mind that Nya does have other fansub projects that they are working on, as well as a real social life outside of fansubs. Usually a lot of fansubbers don't liked to be asked when something will be released.

These people do this work as a free courtesy that take away time from their own daily lives.

It's being subbed as we speak...

It's in the transcription/translation and timing stage right now as I wait for our other projects to come back to me for final QC. DN isn't our top priority right now so it may take a while more. Sorry for being so vague, but this is all I can share for right now.^^

Yeah, it was soft subbed by a group called Null. Their subs aren't the best but you can understand what they're saying. It was on FSC for a while... but I'm pretty sure I saw it on torrent on Mininova.

I was weak and I saw it too, but even if you understand just a few words of japanese, when you know the story it'seasy to understand what's happening... And now I can wait for the subs more quietly...

I like it, I saw it last Sunday! OK, it's not really like the manga everywhere, but I think, the movie is SUPER!!!! The actors are acting great, the music is okay so I like this movie. I hope I can see the second part soon.
