We kept takling about this anime in the Yamapi thread, so it was suggested we make a new thread for it- so here it is! We're hoping it'll become a drama.

Oh, man. I love this series (the manga and the anime). It would be fabulous as a drama, and with its growing popularity, I bet it would make it.

I can see it best as a Japanese drama, but I think it would a good Korean drama series as well. Beause it has several volumes (and each chapter is called an episode), I couldn't see it as a movie. Definately a TV series.

My perfect Haruhi would be Maaya Sakamoto. After all, she's a voice actor for her already. She knows the character well..and..ahh, I know I'm dreaming.

Oh, but you know..I don't think I've ever seen Japanese twin actors before.

You know, this would be a good opportunity to SEARCH for unknown Japanese twin actors. That'd be really cool, because then someone new would be in the scene.

I think Takizawa Hideaki from Tackey & Tsubasa would be a really good Tamaki. He's fairly goofy in his performances.

Ooh, Imai Tsubasa would be an awesome Mori. The fierce and serious look in "Venus" reminds me of Mori. He's drama wiki picture doesn't suit Mori, but he's newer hair cut fits fairly well.

It seems like a standard 26-episode series, but I don't know for sure... AnimeNfo or ANN might have more info. It would be great if they could find some hot twins to be Hikaru and Kaoru! Unless they can just use one actor and do it with camera tricks, like they did with the remake of The Parent Trap with Lindsey Lohan a while ago...

Pi as Tamaki?

I wonder if Pi-chan could be that over-the-top. It sure would be interesting! But I don't see Maki as a comedy actress. Hmmm... Oooh maybe Mokomichi could be in it! Heck, if they could do it with the cameras, he'd be perfect for the twins! Just like his character in Brother Beat.

LOL! I think Pi might just be able to make it as Tamaki.......look at how he portrayed Akira. he was quite "coo-coo" in NwP~:lol

and he was a little bit crazed (at times) as Kurosaki in Kurosagi...

I'd love to see Yamapi in that role, now that I think about it. But who could really be Honey-sempai? Cuz in the anime he really is like a kid... Like a 10-year-old... I don't think even Teppei-chan could pull THAT off. Maybe if they modified his role? Cuz if they did make it a drama, I'd want to see him in it!!!

mm it's seems that ouran high school host club en suzumiya haruhi are the new anime to watch!! I defenitly have to downlaod it then.
I just saw ep 1 of Ouran. I think that the twins could be played by Saito Keita and Saito Shouta. They are the only twins that I know of who can act.

I love host club!! It's probably the funniest anime I have seen so far! However, I don't think the Drama version of Host Club will be as funny as the anime, since many characters in the anime makes really funny faces that are kind of impossible for humans to imitate. !!! Ahhh Ourann!! I love Ouran!!! It's so cute/good! Ever since my friend showed it to me a few months back, I've been hooked hahaha... Even went to download the manga online... unfortunately they only have upto comic number four I believe... *needs to go check up on that*

I got addicted to Ouran too and this is the topic which got me interested so thank you to the topic owner lol.

I like sakura kiss, the lyrics are kinda cheesy but the song..it's like a Otsuka Ai song, it gets stuck onto your head for a while.

I looove Haruhi as she is a adorable but very hmm...strict about herself? Tamaki and her make a great combination as they are totally opposites and Tamaki is a dork and he needs someone like Haruhi to tidy and order him up

Well episode 13, I watched it and it was freaking different from the manga. But the manga was hilarious in that chapter! That manga and anime is just really addicting and it's such a fresh idea...

Oh yea Honey sempai is sooo cute!! If it was ever live action, the roles should be:
Haruhi- Hirayama Aya *with her big eyes and tomboyish style, she can pull it off*

Tamaki- Ohkura Tadayoshi from K8 *He's a tall dork but a hot one*

Hikaru Kaoru- Saitou brothers *they are identical, seriously..why do you think they played the role of identical siblings in the touch movie?*

Kyouya- Takizawa Hideaki or Wentz Eiji *that devilish grin just reminds me of those 2*it can be Ryo also..but those 3 are short...

Honey Sempai- Yasuda Shota from K8 *He's really small and cute, I think he can manage it*

Mori Sempai- Oguri Shun..hmm Matsujun?

I think those people do it the best, it would be really fun if it was real lol...

It was me who started this thread, but it was people in the Yamapi thread who got me interested in this anime, and our conversation there led to a need to create a thread for Ouran Host Club so we weren't quite so OT there... So thank them!

Tamaki

I never realised how hard it would be to find the right characters with similar details...What Japanese idol at a teen age is 192cm tall...That's freaky tall...And even Tamaki is 183cm...YamaP is 174cm and the person I want to be Tamaki, Akanishi Jin, is only 176cm...And then we have a freaky short person...You definitely would not be able to find a 18 year old Japanese idol at the moment who is only 148 cm...

I like Pi-chan, and having him in a fun-loving character again would be great, and Tamaki would be awesome.
For Kyouya, I like MatsuJun, so it's ok.
For the Twins; I say let's find a pair of hot twins and have them debut here.
For Honey: Teppei would be the best in the age group, but I think a cute little junior would work as well.
For Mori: Why hasn't anyone said Hayami Mocomichi? Probably a guy that can play the cool guy very well, as well as occasionally a softy. He's about the same age as everyone else, and 180+ cm. And of course, he's hot.

For Haruhi; I think a cute girl would be great, especially one that looked HORRIBLE in glasses. Maki I don't think would work as a guy... And I was thinking Ueto Aya, but... I really haven't liked her lately. I remember her in Kinpachi as the guy-girl, which was rather great.

Overall, I want this to happen. Ouran Koukou Live-Action SAIKOU. But having this many hot guys in a drama would seriously break the show's budget. The ratings would be sky high though.

I mentioned Mokomichi a while ago, but not as Mori. I was thinking that, if they could pull it off with camera tricks like they did in the Parent Trap remake, he could be the twins. He can be pretty devious.

But new hot twins would be awesome! Hmmm, I didn't think about using a junior as Honey-sempai. That could work.

It would be cool if they found a real half French half Japanese actor to play Tamaki. As for the mirror trick to make a twin from one person, it would work with appearances however they will have to find someone else to dub one of the other's voice because Kaoru and Hikaru voices sound different. Of course, if they are really on a budget, they don't have to.

haha. we're just thinking if there is going to be a live action who's going to be who. the fan girl in ourselves get carried away.

but you know if they could make princess princess into live action i supposed they could make ouran too. but the question of who's going to be who that drives us crazy

i don't think we're all going to reach a conclusion since they're so many cute guys and only 7 character.

That's exactly the problem! I can think of way too many guys I want to be in it.

They should take a poll and make a drama based on what the fangirls want!

I haven't seen the Princess Princess live action yet, though I've watched some of the anime. I looked into the drama a bit and I didn't recognize any of the actors. I'll give it a shot when it gets subbed though.
