Stream Japanese TV on your computer with KeyHoleTV
I just use a video camera to record from keyhole. while it introduces its own problems, it also somehow smooths out the keyhole picture.nikid wrote:i dont know for those you're talking about, but KeyHoleTV works fine for me
btw, does anyone know a way to download/record the shows we saw there?is that possible?
I wish Keyhole was reliable, though. I wanted to watch something recently and the channel wasn't there. It was the previous day and the next day, but that did me no good.
I've been considering JPTV24 subscription, but I want to know just how it works - do you have to renew each month? I am willing to try it if so, but I really don't want to get locked into something where it automatically renews subscription, especially considering my Japanese language skills aren't so great..
I know I am digging up something from quite a long time ago, but I recently got an iPhone 4 and was hoping to find an app to watch Japanese TV. I tried downloading the i-Keyhole TV, but I keep getting an error message when syncing to my iPhone saying, "The app 'I-Keyhole TV' was not installed on the iPhone because the app signature is not valid." Does anybody know what is wrong and how to fix it? I tried downloading the files elsewhere with the mobileprovision but the error message just changes from signature to signer. Any help would be much appreciated.cocomonk22 wrote:It's not on App Store. It's an ad hoc distribution. Search for 'i-KeyHoleTV_OS3' on Google and you should be able to find it.xaphirezst wrote:WHERE can I download that?cocomonk22 wrote:There is also a KeyholeTV for iPhone called i-KeyHoleTV. Can't find it in App Store.
i just find this interesting site, nothing to do with keyhole etc, just for information ^^

It's about japanese game news etc, it's both english and italian but NOT auto-translated, it's manually written in both languages

I'm not really sure what this website is but it's known for streaming japanese tv and maybe other stuff, sometimes all channels work and most of the time they're down with only 2 or 3 streams working.metalian33 wrote:Thanks a lot L'Arc !!!
But what is gundam.eu ? I only found a website with only "hi" write in it.
Also, you can watch Fuji TV & NTV here:
http://helloworldfc2.web.fc2.com/TVstream.html
I've been using this link for a while, it's not HQ but it really helps when all of gundam's streams are down

Keep it as a secret.
Or not, I don't really care.
Was too lazy to make only one application and edit the demo channel name.
Let's see how long it will last and hope NTKTV/JPTV24 will think about using their 720x480 streams for their vod service if they update the application.

I guess it's not a live stream right? Is it a VOD player or something?ikariya wrote:Keep it as a secret.

Some tv live streaming websites:
borama - rtsp/mms streams with embedded player (requires IE)
JP-TV - rtsp/mms streams with html based application (download)
ITV - rtsp/mms streams with html based application (download)
The stream urls are really easy to get, however the urls change from time to time, also these websites seem to share some urls/channels.
If you need more informations, have a look at their website, I also think people were discussing about it around pages 40/43 of this very topic or in another one there.
Please note that I am not affiliated with NTKTV/JPTV24.

To make it simple, yes it is a VOD application using windows media player.tolgacan wrote:I guess it's not a live stream right? Is it a VOD player or something?

I noticed the stops but not all channels do so?! :/ On TVAnts Asahi Tv kept stopping all the time so it is kinda the same / a good / better way than nothing/keyhole tv!

I stoped to watch these streaming, it's a lot boring to re-start the channels every 10 minutes. In fact i don't watch it on my PC. I watch it on my TV so, when the channel stop, i have to re'star it. It's complicated.
I didn't have this problem with TVAnts, but the quality of these setraming are quite good.

Is that little Chinese program some sort of trialware? Streams looks nice, but you can't go fullscreen with it (that I can figure out) so I'm thinking that's a feature you get if you buy the unlocked version or something.
Also, did you guys notice Keyhole is asking for donations?

If I had any confidence they might actually upgrade stream quality I might throw in a few bucks, but we've had this program for years and it's basically had the same lousy quality throughout.

It sounds like donations will be used to improve the video quality.http://www.oiseyer.com/index-e.html wrote:Currently, our KeyHole system is operating only on one server, which sets a limitation on the number of users. When the number of users reaches the server's threshold, there will be packet losses. Packet losses will cause image disruptions and users will be more likely to experience sound interruptions. To solve these problems, it will be necessary to increase the number of servers and develop a new encoder.
In order to continue our service free of charge and provide real-time information to more people, we need to solve these issues. However, due to our financial limitations, this could not happen without your support. We would like to ask for your donations to achieve the following goals:
•Increase number of servers and finance its operating expenses
•Develop a new video encoder with improved compression efficiency
•Management and continuation of service to our users

Zizi player
I received the Zizi player this week and so far I'm quite happy with it, there are in all 7 japanese channels and 5 korean ones.
I have succesfully tried it on a PC running Windows 7 64 bits as well as in XP 32 bits in a VMware machine on MacOSX.
For some reason some channels are not available sometimes but globally the result is quite satisfactory for the price.
You can also record the program being watched as well as schedule recordings.
The quality is very nice, it uses around 500 kbps on average and it needs around 5 seconds for the channel to be displayed after you select it.
You also get the subtitles embedded automatically (they can be disabled).
The video can be setup in window of full screen mode.
The GUI is in English and in Japanese, depending on the locale setup for your system.
Globally a nice new option with no monthly fees.

If you want to watch Inazuma Eleven from TV Tokyo just use the kansai streams, there is a channel called TVO, it's the same schedule so you can enjoy it.Bigo wrote:new episode of inazuma eleven has been released, so why ikariya's ntktv stopped at 11th March? I know it's maybe a stupid question, but I just began to use Keyhole TV. ^^ There are some channel that I can't watch because I don't know the passwords...does somebody knows them?
And, another question...^^ Where can I read the TV Guide in english?
Thanks
Those channels have passwords because they are private channels not for public view.
