it was 2005 and i was living in japan.
there was this song that i used to sing and listen in many places...
the video was even on MTV JP and it was showing this boy band with a white "world" and some red rose petals were falling on the singer....
i can't remember more... i can sing the song but here's not the place

can you all please help me?

description of the boyband? what part of the year?

i want to say it's SMAP's sekai ni hitotsudake no hana, but i haven't seen the pv for it...

mmm not smap.
it was from march to july 2005.
young guys.... i just remember white scene and red roses falling down while the camera was turning. (a sort of american beauty)

i can say :

that's part of the song.
the guy that was singing was not too childish.
not smap and i think they were not even kat-kun
isn't there a sort of list by year of songs?

It's not "boy band", but maybe it's "Gekkouka" by Janne D'Arc?

Anyway, if you're looking for a list of hit song in any particular year, Oricon Singles Chart is the way to go.

Is it "TUBASA" of UNDERGRAPH??? This song was popular around when you mentioned according to Yusen's raking chart. Here's the video below.

Wild shot in the dark here, since I don't listen to much Japanese music, but could it be Arashi's, Sakura Sake? I was just watching one of their videos on youtube, and there were petals falling down around them, and they definitely qualify as a boy band... you might have to fast-forward the video a little bit to get to them singing, but here's the video:

it was not so rock as gekkouka-janne da arc.
not KobuKuro - Towa ni tomo ni... i don't remeber only the piano, i think there were even guitars. (as in usual j-pop)
not Arashi - Sakura Sake.

UNDER-GRAPH - Tsubasa is very similar!!!!!!! are some song copyed by it, or other version?
specially the part like

Well, somewhere I saw list of songs made to Oricon charts by years!!!

I guess you find your song from there...gomen, i don't have the link now at home, but I can get links tomorrow if you're still looking.. I am sure song you're searching for is definitely there!!! So wait, I'll get links for you tomorrow, ne!!

I know how you feel coz I was searching for 1 song which used to play everywhere in Tokyo in 2001 and FINALLY I was able to get hold of that song!!!

It was Matsu Takako's single!!! Love her songs!!

boyband (only males)
period 2005 (first half)
scene: all white with the singer sitting/standing and red petals of roses falling down .
there were other scenes that i don't remember.
the reprise of under graph Tsubasa is quite similar
there was not only piano

i've checked the oricon chart but i can't find the song

what genre is it
is it a group of singers or a band with 1 singer

if everyones singing it then it should be popular enough to be found on oricon.....
maybe download some musicstation spring song special countdowns and watch through them.

I think Tubasa was not sang by anyone else. I checked with utanet lyric seach by its lyric and only Undergraph sings this song.
I wonder why you can't find on the list...

Check this monthly TOP15 out instead of kamihanki.
