What happened to bt china?

Post by incube » Dec 8th, '09, 19:21

not sure if this is the correct forum to ask but i was wondering if anyone knows what happened to the site btchina.net.... my dad usually gets series there because they are chinese hardsubed and easier to handle and it has been down for a while.

Thanks

this is what you get when you go to btchina.net:

网上传言太多,有必要出来说明一下,但又不能连累国内的idc背个非法接入的罪名,所以借个国外ip来说下,请大家广而告之,本页面稍后也会关闭。

BTCHINA 接广电通知 因无视听许可证 所以工信部删除备案号 关站 关于本人安全问题 再次证明网上传言不可信 特别是新闻最不可信

this is what it says roughly..........I think:

Due to many rumours going around, needs to explain a bit, but in order not to get local people in trouble, I have borrowed a foreigner's ip address to post this message, which will only show for a short time. Therefore, please spread message to other people.

BTCHINA received notification. Due to violation/ignoring of viewing and listening permissions/rights, ...?..has deleted account. As for my safety, this again proofs internet rumours can not be trusted. Especially news is the most unreliable.

I am glad you started this thread and posted the question. I hope some will let us know where to get our fix now.
I hope the people of btchina will be allright.

oh.. first mininova and now btchina >.< Does this mean the end of p2p sharing is approching? Suddenly the movie 2012 seems a bit more realistic now *.*

Back on topic.... any idea of another place to get good chinese subbed series? Thanks

I read something on Yahoo that China blocked Youtube, facebook, and movie sharing sites... BTchina since it didn't have a license to share those kinds of things. They're trying to regulate the internet or whatever. I doubt something like that would happen to the rest of the world.

Please do not worry about it. You close one tracker and two more open, which is what always will happen. You close or block something and people just move to the next new technology.

You could always go with emule for doramas with Chinese subs. When I was looking for the last episode of Real Clothes I was able to get it with Chinese subs.

Perhaps registering yourself in sites where the original uploaders/subbers are would help.

If you need to hk tvb dramas there are still lots of blogs that have direct links. Just google.

Good luck

I don't think my mother knows the name of the groups that sub her dramas. Any ideas? She watches korean ones mainly.

The good thing about a torrent site like btchina is that the new series are listed in one place and they are all chinese hardsubbed.

If downloading from emule or edonkey is applicable, verycd.com is a good choice

After BTChina went down... I had to find an alternative site for my HK Drama fix hehe..
I normally download TVB dramas released by this group 第⑥感 and they also release them on BTChina.
Their forum is at http://forum.6cn.org/
You need to register to d/l the torrents though. The registration page is abit annoying. The part where you have to put an answer for the Q&A, just copy and paste the answer. It will say that it is incorrect, ignore it. After submitted it will be fine.

Another one is TVBOXNOW http://www.tvboxnow.com/index.php which is quite good as well and you dont need to register. Just look for "TV分享地帶" for the dramas section.

Both require you to know abit of chinese to navigate to the appropriate section. I use google translate to help me abit or do a search of the chinese title of the show I want to d/l. You can easily find the chinese title by going to the TVB home page or through wikipedia. Good luck! :)

I made an acct at 6cn forum, but it needs me to have 10 power to access the torrent page, how do i get the proper access?

Also, do both sites have batch torrents? I prefer to dl the whole series over each individual episode.

I wish I could change to a different program but I'm running on my Ibook G3. Which means that I can't use the newer ones cos most of them are like mininium requirement of 10.3/10.4 (TT___TT ) It did work with azureus last time I used it, but I think that now it's change and most of the trackers don't reconize azureus. Like Jpopsuki. (¬.....¬ ) Very annoying.

Just want to clarify that the reason BT China was shut off b/c the Chinese government was preparing for CNTV.

Basically, the chinese governement tries to expand its internet censorship. As someone mentioned before which is true, people in mainland china are all unable to visit sites like wikipedia, youtube, twitter, facebook, I think google is also on the list, and many more.
