GD is in the house... Sexy Taeyang... Adorkable Daesung... Cute Seungri... and EXTREMELY COOL T.O.P.
I really like the songs: We Belong Together, How Gee, VIP, LaLaLa...
And the music videos: Goodbye Baby, Haru Haru, Last Farewell ...
My favorite member is T.O.P, but I also luv Bong(G-D) tons...
Really enjoyed the drama I am Sam in which T.O.P. acts... He's cool there too...

Comebacks...?

Post by RainbowTurd » Apr 6th, '12, 22:45

Just a quick question; why do groups like Big Bang, have so many comebacks (Like every year)? Is it to every time they come up with a new song or something?

One comeback a year isn't actually that often for kpop. They make comeback when they feel like it(management company). Ok, not when they feel like it, but when it's more beneficial. And 85% of kpop don't 'come up' with new songs, they find one(they don't write their own songs. What a shocker, huh?). And then, to make it an album, they find some filler songs and sometimes they give themselves a chance to write a song(a filler song)(not sure for Big Bang, but 2PM does this).

Why can't I stay logged in on this site all of a sudden. I have had to sign in at least ten times over the past two days. Frustrating.

Regarding the NYC settings for the BIGBANG latest album....I wish someone would tell them about the Bradbury Building in LA.. It is a fantastic place. It would be a very upmarket setting for them wearing really smart suits or even the odd uniform here and there. No Hip Hop however, TV films and theatrical film have been made in this building. It is incredible. Someone in the business please tell them about this place.

Jusr heard that BigBang are going to do a world tour. Presumably Asia but they mentioned 'the Americas'

I wonder if they will do Hawaii and then come to L.A They would surely have them on one of the shows here don't you think. If they had that girl group on the Late night show in NYC they have to have BigBang for sure.

Just Fabulous Baby :-).

Neliets.

BigBang and Seven and Tablo and Psy plus some other musicians all belong with the YG management. That makes for a good group of people who can perform and also write songs. They seem to get together and help one another with putting music into their albums. Talented people.:-)

Read something interesting about G.Dragon yesterday. somewhere on a news site. I did not know that he began his music career at the tender age of eight. He went to SM agency and stayed with them for five years. They did nothing for him. He was never put into a group or given a chance. So he left and went to YG. He was then thirteen and now I think he is perhaps 23. Not sure of this age but I would imagine that SM might be kicking themselves for not seeing his talent.

The thing that really gets to me is trying to imagine a little boy of eight being in the care of a music agency and living in a dormitory maybe. Who would look after him? How lonely would that be and where were his parents at that time. Did he go to school and did he eat properly. Who did his laundry. It sounds so dreadful to me and yet look at the talent and the way he has bloomed as a musician. He writes music and lyrics and rap and he can dance and perform like a happy person. Well I guess he is happy now. There must have been some harsh times for a little boy. It makes me feel sad.
When I read his words during recent interviews I am really struck with the depth of his feelings and intelligence.

Not that I want to defend SMEnt or anything but they never debuted a 13-yo boy in a group. Chunnie was barely 17-18 if I remember right, or slightly before it when he joined DBSK.
I may be wrong on this since my knowledge on SMEnt latelt deteriorated as my hatred prevailed.

You know about upcoming Monster?

Yes I think he looks like a mushroom. Might turn out well.
Yes I realise the group thing is not it for a 13 yr.old. But I suppose I meant he was not chosen to do any rehearsal for a group at that age. I am not entirely sure about all these details anyway. I have a feeling that he must have lived some time at home and he certainly had a decent education. also that is when he met up with TOP and they became friends so he could not have been tied up in any SM dorm.

It still spooks me to think of any eight year old getting involved with am agency
somehow. However, I suppose there are young actors who are involved with the acting business at that age and younger.

Ethlen...Iam going to try and send you a PM dear.

Oh you know, our Infinite leader Sunggyu also auditioned for SMEnt and he was rejected. So yeah, sometimes SMEnt amazes me with their blindness.
Truth be told, SMEnt doesn't have any fabulous voices (except for one singer, yes, I'm insanely biased, and I don't count JYJ as part of SMEnt anymore), have some good voices and plenty of average ones.

I hope I make some sense, I'm extremely tired and frustrated.

I responded to your PM...with another story.

I guess I am biased as well. I have been dwelling with MVs and variety shows with Big Bang for the past week. I find them incredibly intelligent and full of humor. They get along so well even when they have different ideas. G.Dragon is surely the bright spark because he has so much energy. I don't think I ever met a genius but I would rate him near that level. He is like a box of firecrackers that get going with a match all at once. He is boundless in all directions.
As an agency I think it is rather extraordinary in it's all around care for the artists.

I really don't know why I still have Fantastic Baby on my Winamp playlist. I know why I have Daesung's solos, but... but...

I'm contemplating a loan and going to concert in Europe, if they have it. Contemplating, not deciding. It's all for Dae...

Ethlenn,

Fantastic Baby is better viewed as the MV. It is quite 'fantastic', You might prefer to have 'Blue' instead. I rather like that melody which is one to grow on you.

LA is too far for me but if there is anything in the state of Texas I will go. Its usually Houston, Dallas, or Austin. It will be a long drive but I will go damn it! I grew up really near Chicago so I might get a chance if they go there as well. The only two places confirmed right now is LA and NJ right?

Ethlenn- I would get a loan on top of my loan for me too see them. It will be my one chance to see them and I really don't want to miss that opportunity. I don't mind listening to K Pop but Big Bang is what brought me closer to start listening to other artists. I still have their old songs on my playlist and their MVs on my phone right now. I love the getto-ness of TaeYang but Dae is turning out to be no1 for me from BB.

Oh esmer, you and your sigis...

Peggy, I do prefer Fantastic Baby both as an MV or song, Monster isn't bad either. Slightly disappointed with Dae's solo, not because of him but the song itself didn't knocked me down.
And funny thing, I have a friend who is absolutely immune to K-side, but she loves Haru Haru song and video (and Lucifer, but it's other story).

His comeback is held back because on august 18 a new law regarding rating of MVs is being implemented by Korea Media Rating Board (KMRB).
It takes around a week for an MV to be reviewed and his MV will be done the earliest on August 20th.

That's basically the essence of this article.

Seems like a storm in a teacup. However, I suppose it means a delay at YG and a disappointment for G.Dragon.
I can wait.

It wasn't any problem reading and recapitulating it, the article was easy to read.

Well, for YG and GD it means a delay, but the law has more inconvenient effects too. According to that article, now artists won't be able to plan their comebacks so meticulously to the day an hour simply because the evaluation process. The MV needs to be reviewed and put any PG-rating. But there is no fixed amount of days KMRB needs to do so. So it may be a week or it may be two weeks. This disrupts a bit comeback strategies.

If you check bigbangupdates website, they probably explained that already.

Anything to make life difficult for the hardworking artist.

I am dessicating here waiting for the next MV and CD from BigBang.

I notice that may of the newer boy groups are definitely attempting the methods used by BigBang by the way. Just doesn't quite work since the same talent is not there yet.

It is a circuitous route at the moment but I am so thankful to at least get them. Many thanks. I promise I will get my PC back to good health as soon as possible. Too much on the plate at the moment. I am afraid to even change to Chrome just in case I make a real damage situation.

Big Bang is having a time of bad luck. TOP has had a bad injury to his hand in a fight scene in his latest movie. Broken glass in the scene. Rush to hospital and now they have problems with timing for film and for group appearances.
Other actors working with him have expresssd their surpise at his total change when he is acting in a role. He is really a very good actor which they don't expect from a rapper in a group.

He is an all around talent just like G.Dragon. 8)

Big Bang having a great concert tour. They were just in California up the road from me. I could not go. Too much excitement and too many crowds. Some pictures show great audience and the show must have been a huge success. next they were in Newark New Jersey but I don't know if that would be possible because of the terrible storm. Not sure how Newark got on during all that.

Were you ever in Japan on concert? I have no idea how they do this pictures and fancams. Staff is watching like crazy! Ok I saw once girl with camera right besides me during 2PM concert. We were on balcony first row and in the midle of section so she kind of cowered it with herself puting it on barier and it was miniature one. I have Nikkon Coolpix P510, no way to hide it. And if they catch you they just throw you out. Usually they even cancel ALL you have on memory card. If you live there and you can go to the concerts often enough maybe it's worth it but if it is just luck that it match with you schedule, I'd rather not. So unfortunately no pictures only outside and before concert (it was Yokohama arena - added one).
But concert itself was great. only disapointment was that I wanted to see TOP with blue hair but he was back to dark already. But they made him dance :lol
And I prefer Japanese concerts becouse of how great fans are there. Always organized, well behaved and I do not have this urgent need to kill somebody becouse she/he just put some token of her/his adoration in my line of vision (or camera, to be honest). It is forbidden there as well, only to the high of your chest. So even if you can't make pictures or movies easy you can fully experience event itself.
Another thing is that venues in Japan are usualy big, so you need really big lances to make any valuable picture or be very close. To have good ticket you have to be member of fan club or buy on auction after the places are known and I have no idea who have this amount of cash to spend on tickets, not me for sure. BTW both are for Japanese people only so you need someone there to help you (or buy such service). There are smaler arenas fahrer from center but then you need to travel (shinkasen is great but not cheap).

Well anyway I will try to make pictures in London (1000x is what my camera can do, he, he) and share (if they do not catch me..)

Oh you are so brave to go to any concerts. I could never go because I am too old and I would be afraid of the crowd breaking my bones in a crush. I certainly would have to sit down and then I think I would not see anything. I have seen pictures of those audiences and it looks very overwhelming. the energy level must be tremendous.

TOP is not a dancer :roll

@Peggy
Please, nobody here is older then me :lol I think
But as I said Japan is the best, you are safe there. And i saw ladies in like 60s at the concert there so if you can still walk on your own it will be ok :thumright:
Korean girls are a bit scary on their own ground..
BTW I started with J-rock so pop fans are like angels in comparison!

another thing about Japan - if you ever have oportunity go to Japanese group concert in Japan - they have incredible shows there and music is just a part of it.
You do not go to american group concert? I would like to try it, something like Madonna few years ago, it should be interesting, who is the shocking one right now? Lady Gaga still?

But you are right that this crowd emotions could be overhelming. Before I started with asian music I never went to really big concerts and to add that we do not have such emotional contact with idols here in western culture (with some exceptions - I always use Beatles when I try to eplain to people what is happening during those concerts) expirience was intense and I am rather difficult person to be moved. I always thought that they show this displays of tears by choosing especially but it was happening all around (ok not on Big Bang they have a bit more mature fan base I suppose). Good thing is - it helps I think, helps artists as they feel they are doing good job as they are loved and people around as they can enjoy themself freely. I went few times to the concerts where people looked like they more care about tryig to appear cool and collected than having fun and i do not understand this (to paraphrase one of artists from my country before his performance - "let's have fun... well you came on such cold evening, paid big money, it's in your best interest!"). I always have fun and do not care what people around think. I met great people during such concerts in Japan (and Berlin too) in all age (I speak Japanese - it helps I suppose :lol ). But I do not try arena after London experience last year, it's not age, it's my bad temper!

No, he is not :lol but it was funny! (to be honest I think it is mostly image and unwillingness then inability - training is stright for everybody)
They connect good with audience but as I said I had more mature vibre here then on other concerts of pop idols I had opportunity to go to. Difficult to explain why.. more boys too.
I must go to girls group concert once, just to see how it looks like.. I mean other then 2NE1 (for which I wold go for pleasure), like GirlsGeneration maybe (but I do not like them :-( )?

Shiofmedea 8)

Thanks for that good post. I agree tht BB probably would draw quite a few older fans even for the big concerts. they are hardly the usual so-called 'boy band'. Even at early twenties G.Dragon is entirely mature and a genius in my opinion.

I think I am older than you are my dear. All my contemporaries are gone. It gets annoying when I can't discuss the first quarter century of my life because there is no-one who knew me then. Worse yet, no-one who remembers that day and age even.

I definitely am not geared now to go to concerts. that's why I like to read about them from someone who is still enjoying the trip. I am always amazed at the logistics for the concerts that SMAP does at the domes in Japan. I read once how many oversize trucks they need for the stage equipment etc. They even have their own regular kitchen staff for the backstage people. Lots of people backstage.Always open buffet.
I am Kimura and SMAP admirer for twenty years. Especially Kimura.
I am hoping that BB will be a solid group also and last for many years. One thing I really like about YG is that they do not make a great fuss about making their artists have all sorts of facial surgery to make them 'handsome' or such. They like talent first and foremost, You can easily tell one from the other even when they wear similar costumes.
I am not interested in any of the girl groups except 2NE1, They are so unique I think.

The US concerts were very successful and I read that the one in Peru was also great.
I wonder will they ever put out DVDs of some of the concerts like SMAP always does. The videos I see on TV are just so good but so far I have not come across any DVD.

Again thanks for your thoughts re BB.

my post got eaten once again!!! :cussing:

@peggy
No problem, always pleasure to share about BB. They are my favorite Kpop grup for their stable and high level for few years already. And always first to use to introduce Korean pop music as they are at the same time unique and more easy acceptable for western audience. Plus good argument when I am accused to being interested in young and sexy bodies and beautifule faces only :P (I do not show them GD more flattering pictures just to be on save side :lol )
For concerts - well sucess based on established fan-base is one thing but making footprint on US market is something totally different - how it looks from inside? I suppose maybe if they could switch to English? Or start with solists like GD or Senguri?
On the other hand trying to blend to make it on western market how can they avoid to loose this unique feeling that make us listen to Kpop in first place?

Ah, Kimura Takuya  my great Japanese love as well !

Those concerts in Japan by group from big agencies like Johnny & A are amazing! You have everything there cars, motor show, horses, stunts, flying and jumping, moving platforms, water, fire and light shows. Plus great number of supporting dancers so stage can be very impressive especially with Tokyo Dome. If you add lightsticks moved acording to gestures from videos and people singing with artist or when asked by themselves it is experience worth to go through. No DVD can compare with real life experience!

Which group DVD you didnot come across? BB and 2NE1 both have them not to mention YG Family for both Japan and Korea tour separately.

Shiofmedea,

Glad to know a Kimura admirer. I adore that man. He has a huge aura that hits people even on film. Must be really something in real life.

Well I have not yet found a source over here for DVDs of BB. Have several from youtube and other BB sites of course. Just found a good one of their live show ( Alive) Really marvellous on stage aren't they. It must have been the first concert after that bad year they had. All great bods and movers. Well I think GD has the face of an angel but the smile of mischief. He is such a genius I hope he will be able to always cope with what is in his mind and ability.
PSY is exploding all over the place on TV shows and with acts on stages in various places. His Gangnam number is really being played all the time and even US stars are doing it ad nauseum. However he is making a dent in the business over here which may help when other acts come over from Korea. BB would always do well in concerts and I would like them to make a concert appearance on TV because they would be a success I am sure. They have the musical ability and the appearance and they aren't just pretty faces. I think they would do well because they can speak some english that sounds like english. also they are not totally Korean in style and they all seem to have a good feeling for Western show business I think. After all they are not novices any more
with six years work behind them. Mnet has an hour long show once a week for BB and for 2NE1 and just started one for PSY. that will keep interest going especially on the West coast I think.

I usually buy on Internet or when I go to Asia (you can buy Korean DVDs everywhere there). Huge problem with overweight on airport later :lol . But even in Paris there are shops with Asian music and movies/dramas and they have the newest hits right away.

They can put good stage, thats for sure! They sound good and as their choreography is not so complicated as some others groups they do not need to use playback, not much anyway (and yes, I am sure it is used quite often but I want to live so I will not point on anybody :P ).
I am glad that their promotion is going well. They were chosen here in France together with 2NE1 as the most desirable group to have concert this year. Still they choose London. Maybe better as it provides some balance between countries (France seems dominated by SM Ent. to me) and I am always glad to visit country where I do not have problems with communication.
PSY had big apperance on Trocadero - that was fun - and this month there was discussion about Korean pop music in French TV. Not bad I must say, they showed this ugly part of business (they used EXO), explained about trainings, how they are paid in comparison to gain of agency, how they are practicly not allowd to have privet life, express their own thought during press conferences, etc. There ware conferences with French fans who were part of Korean program to invite and introduce them to their idols and how they were trained as well (nice marketing move btw). What was new for me they seems a bit concerned about expanse of asian pop culture and as consequence style they present. I do not think it reached such scale yet. But, sorry to say, I am not fan of French show business (for me it ended like over 40 years ago with small exceptions) so maybe France is more vunerable (but bit xenofobic? it's just my feeling as foriginer here, no ofence)? My friends children are active fans of everything Japan and Korean movies can be easly buy with French subtitles in every DVD shop. Music could be next step.

btw for PSY it is interesting phenomen - I am not obviously best person to give opinion here but this PV must be very open and universal if it is so popular. I mean it was making fun of some aspects of Korean style but still people who knows nothing about it find it funny and interesting enough. But it is not typical Kpop product so people can be disappoited if they expect to receive something simmilar. Let's hope their reaction will be "well, it's different but still good!"

Well Psy is an anomaly and even he was surprised at the way that comic song caught on. However it has made people aware of Korean show business and how the artsts are and it helps that he speaks good English. This, for some reason, seems to matter more for Korean show business then for any other countries artists. It was always a charm to hear Maurice Chevalier speak English. He never tried to improve and his was a true Parisian accent. Any Italian man or woman could have the accent and it worked in England and US. I don't know why Koreans have to have no accent. It doesn't quite make sense. Speaking is for communication and if you are understood the accent does not, or should not matter.. It has always bugged me...but I will get off my soapbox.

I am just hoping that YG company will be able to use Psy and his Horse dance to bring the other artists to the fore. I want Big Bang to get worldwide favour because they are true artists and not at all a boy band. I have thought that they are now doing in the music world the same thing that the Beatles did when they first got going. Prior to their first appearance in US the Beatles were well known and had loads of fans and publicity in UK and Europe. They just had to crack the US music business. I was visiting my home town around a year or so before they came to NYC. We were advised to go and see them in the local Town Hall. Since I had never heard of them I was not interested nor was my son. He was more into model planes etc. My cousin was disgusted with me for not accepting the offer of the Mayor to go backstage and meet the Beatles. Who Knew? I have a snapshot of them with the Mayor somewhere. They arrived in a helicopter landing on the town cricket pitch.Gosh I think if I had the invitation I would probably go to meet Big Bang even now......Sighing here.

It feels like there's only two of us saying this. If I'm able to understand what another person wants to convey, I don't really care about irrelevant things like the accent. I don't think it's Koreans who are so obsessed, but the international fandom who picks on every single detail, laughing at pronunciation and vocabulary choice etc. It's international audience who's complaining all the time.
Problem is, almost all of them are non linguists so they have absolutely no idea how hard is to acquire an accent and flawless pronunciation for a person whose phonological system is completely different.

Having said that - Big Bang will wrap up their World Tour in Seoul. And TOP will most likely appear in a drama.

Ethlenn,
Yes, you cleared my statement. for I certainly meant that it was other nationalities who make the fuss re the Korean English speech.. The strange thing is that if I occasionally watch an English show which is like a drama, I have to turn up the volume in order to understand what the devil they are saying. I am English, and still carry the accent and I don't have a clue what some of the actors are saying. Elocution does not seem to be taught anymore.
However I don't think it is just me as my English friend living nearby says she has the same problem. Weird. Something to do with no longer speaking 'stage' English I suppose. TV has muted things in the voice production I think.

Psy speaks very good English.

Wore my eyes out watching the MAMA 2012 Music Awards Show in Hong Kong today. It was pretty good and Big Bang earned the Top Award for 2012 Artist of the year. also G.Dragon got the Award for Album of the year I think. An award anyway for something.

show was full of acts from many Asian countries Lots of stars doing the hosting including Soong Ki as the main man. He looked so good. Didn't know he could sing.

I was a little sorry that Ga In did not get some award. She has done those great musical numbers displayed on a white table with a group of dancers surrounding her. She really does a great job doing that. Very sensuous and quite sexual but not in the least trashy (like some of the girl groups appear.) she is very restrained but gets the point across.

JYP also did a special appearance with his backup dancers. Boy he is so good when he performs.

Well Cheers for Big Bang. they deserve their awards.

I just watched another part of this Awards show today on Mnet and I did see Ga In getting an award but I don't know what it was for. Made me pleased however, for she is becoming a very well composed actress. Forget Madonna and Lady Gaga??

this is Queen Ga In, young and charming and got what it takes to be a performance artist of the first rank I think.

@peggy
You had opportunity to see Beatles? :w00t: I was never crazy about them but they are legend anyway.
and now I belive what you said that I am not oldest here :lol
About accent.. I live in France and French English is my favorite :lol There were times when I could not catch that person is speaking English at all as their accent was so strong that I thought it is still French! The worst part: British pair I met on my vacation said that they recognized slight French accent in my English too... yeh! :glare: I do not speak French even! I can't learn this one at all, it is soooooo difficult  living here ruined my English not giving me French skills in return :cussing: But I watch English (as UK) programs from time to time and they make me humble - I was so sure about my skills and then I started watching 1st episode of some drama and from first 10 minutes I recognized one word - pizza, I was ready to cry then, I swear!

Still MAMA to watch but award well earned in my opinion. They deserve to be recognized!
one week to my second concert of theirs, I am so happy to have numbered places, I can't imagine to wait in this cold weather few hours to have good place (my experience with JYJ concert in Berlin - nightmare! and no, I did not camped I am too old (and not dedicated enough I'm afraid) for this :roll )

I have been so impressed with G.Dragon. I do think he is some kind of a genius.
Tonight on TV here I watched a show all about the Beatles when they made their TV film for 'Magical Mystery Tour' It was made for UK TV and did not get over to US altho the album of the music came. The film was the Beatles pure desire to make something they wanted and enjoyed and it had no plot at all. It just happened and was wonderful. Mystery Tours were always a favourite in UK. People would get together and hire a Char-a-banc. This was a type of coach or bus. Not many people had cars so this was a way of getting to see something of the country. It was a mystery since no-one knew where they were going. Lots of Fun. You can imagine the craziness that went into the Beatles Mystery tour.

I was immediately struck with something that had been slightly bothering me. G.Dragon and Big Bang must be the third generation of the Magical Mystery because if you see 'Fantastic Baby' and 'One of a Kind ' plus a few other videos they do then you can see the thread of genius that has come down from the time of the Beatles to the time of G.Dragon. There is no other group today that can present madness and joy with hip hop the way that Big Bang does. The costumes alone are wildly entertaining.

I just love Big Bang.

Sorry for taking so long but work is hell those days
So about concert:
As always good mix of fans European and Asian looking, still I would say Asian are still in adventage ;). And to be honest I prefer them, they are easier to connect to. Language is barier for me in France still so here where everybody automaticly use English I can have additional fun talking to people. I went two times by coincident (I ticket bought, second received) so I can even compare 14th and 15th!
Organization was good, no question here, a lot of helpful staff and as far as I was able to see no big incidents but second day guys needed to ask stands to back off few times (Seungri interpretation – they want to see me) and they were careful with going down to the crowd. Fans can be scary in over entusiastic way so I can’t blame them. They throw same things at people (towels, even jacket – Seungri here) and I am happy I was not anywhere near then, I value my life, thank you very much. Arrangements were good - fireworks, smoke, lighting, they arranged Seungri to look like he was taking off helicopter, and all those confetti and ribbons coming from the roof. Plus bicycle for Taeyang and those strange gravity chalenging things I never remember name of for GD and TOP. Impressive team of backdancers, I am not sure but they could be hired here (or US) as they were generally not Asian looking not all of them for sure. I did not take notice of it in Japan so I have no idea it they were the same there as well or not, pitty.
Some pointers per person
GD was changing hair colour between concerts (yellow blond for first day, red for second). Nice rapping a capella btw. Crayons was pure blast no other way to describe it and one of songs people were happy to sing along (or rather shout along) properly
TOP gave his best dancing (well, if you can call it that ;) but he made people happy anyway – his looks and his behavior are so contrasting! It always buffling me, I swear) especialy in encore part. He went to audience the most I think, especialy first day (still ten hours in waiting in rain - on first day – to be in first row is way too much), I did not thought him so forwarding.
Seungri was on his best monopolising MC parts.. “We come from 6000 miles…” was for sure most repeated phrase of all. Good that he added “and we are happy we did it” as it started to sound like complains! But saying that we are the best public with best voices was overdoing it as we were in my opinion the worst they had so far! I will come back to it in my complains part. And of course all the girls his (as backdancers I mean becouse if you counted level of noise (and interuption) GD and TOP do not have competition still). And second day he was wandering with his phone (let me guess – Samsung?) taking pictures of everything and everybody – mostly himself, vanity is my name?
Taeyang – I do not like him btw, do not ask why, I can’t explain, just the feeling– did his usual number by tearing up his wifebeater – and I almost lost my hearing in process (I made good picture if somebody is interesting and tell me how to make it hidden). He had some problems first day (noseblood? He had it bloced but did not cut off - proffesionals here). His and Seungri’s solos were mix from theirs previous solo albums btw, well arranged but still mix only.
Dae – I really liked his song – very energetic and refreshing feeling. Do not get me wrong, I love GD but his songs always make me think, which is one of main reasons why I love them, but it is nice to have just pure fun from time to time – life is complicated enough! People loved it too so I am not alone with this feeling.
S,T & D had some threesome in MCing as GD and TOP prepared themselves (plus scenography) with beatboxing and Fantastic Baby dance teaching involved (I was Seungri side – very cometetive person – he was not happy with his side helping others shout!) with some problems apparently first day as Taeyang needed to cover additional time by singing some not recognizeable for me song in English)
Seungri English is very good apparently (people said he was aiming for English acent – I can’t tell if it is true, for me it was just proper one as far as I can judge), TOPs the worst I suppose as at some point he gave up and in last speech he just said part of it in Korean (or maybe it was for purpose? I do not think so but maybe I am not fair).
For old songs Last Farewell was last (not surprise here) before Encore (and I had fun putting those hands moves – not so mane people did it) and they made my day by singing Caffe – I so love this song!
Haru Haru is where my complains reached it’s peak – no chorus, whatever they told on forums do not belive it I have it on my camera, no chorus at all! And when I remember how good it sounded on other arenas, shame! First people did not know words, second their singing skills and ability to coordinate were next to nothing (ok maybe I expected too much after performances audience is giving in Asia). Generaly people had problems with following choruses all the time except shouting in Fantastic Baby, Crayon and few others with English words.
To finish on shortcomming: no coordiation with movements (ah concerts in Japan!), lighstick colors - no blue, white and colorful ocean (well part of blue, mixed with yellow) was permanent as Samsung made promotion with blue bracelets – but it’s just coincidance. But crowd was very entusiastic, there is no questioning it. And crowded sticks were almost everythere. Lot’s of older people not only (but to be honest, mostly) due to policy of organizator. And their own (parents I mean) as siting area did not demanded that kind of assistance. But I saw pair with so small children that I doubt they come for them (still Asian one).
What more? Fantastic Baby was fantastic ;) Monster too with it’s arrangement of members coming one after another on stage singing their parts (and this lifting from PV included). Blue I loved but no blue ocean was disappointing, Bad Boy, declared by GD as his favorite, was received very enthusiasticly (I say Bad boy, you say Bad Boy and every variation ;) ) TOP and GD duet – always funny, I would never thought that I would love those kind of music but I do, surprise, surprise!
Well, it was fun, it was madness, maybe they do not “save the world” (part of some introduction here) but for sure help make it more interesting place.
I can put pictures but first I need to shrink them, second how to do it?

8) Shio,
Many thanks for your critique. I could imagine it very well. Yes they really do wander all over the stage during concerts. too bad the audience was a bit lacking.
I like those roller things that GD and TOP use to get around stage. I forget name also. Must look it up. I often thought it would be fun to try one but I would not dare. I would break my neck and roll over the nearest person.
Glad they did Blue it's one of my favourites.

Look forward to photos but have no idea how you put them up. sorry.

Thanks again :-)
