convert idx/sub to srt?

I have a series with idx/sub, and need to have srt to play on my tv. any help appreciated

You probably need someting like Subrip. See Guide1, Guide2

Use something like Subtitle Edit, and input all the OCR characters it detects, then save as srt afterwards.
