Convert .rmvb files into dvd formats??

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone would know any programs/software where i can convert my .rmvb files into dvd format so i can play it on my dvd player?

You can try WinAVI Video converter, it has a quite easy User Interface ... :mrgreen:

thanks i'll give it a try. I have tried sooo many dvd converters already from google.com hopefully this one works! >_<

hmm.. i dunno whats going on but everytime i tried to convert it keeps saying Cannot open files and then it stops. Why can't it convert my RealMedia Files?

o_O can you put quick steps to convert? *it's my first time converting these kind of files into DVD format* and also do you need to *buy* this software in order ot make it work?

Check out this thread ... it's basicly a tutorial for beginners with WinAVI Video Converter ... just replace the mentioned *.avi file with a *.rm file, because the steps are just the same ...

and yes you'll have to buy this software if you want to use it longer than just 30 days ... the demo you downloaded should be 100% funtional within those 30 days. 8)

Nope doesnt work.. WHat are these files encoded with?? I just download them from the upload sites... e.g Forensic Heroes episodes..

does anyone know whats encoded in these episodes? please tell because i wanna watch this on my dvd player instead of the PC but i have no idea why it keeps saying "Can't read file" on every software I tried to convert it on. Please help

i finally found out whats the problem to this.. I had my files in this folder which is in traditional cantonese so i guess the softwares couldnt find it or read it. But after putting them into my other drive, the software found it with no problem. Damn im stupid but i finally got it and now im burning them onto my disc :)

i have a question, does it also encode the soft subs too? i heard my friend says it automatically syncs the subs..is this true? i really want to burn stuffs with english subs for both rmvb and avi files..is there a solution? thanks

I don't know about WinAvi Converter. I use Cucusoft with vobsub program. This has a codec checker builtin to the converter. Costs money, but have over 600 dvd burns with subs so far, just add .com to name.
