Mediacoder can convert rm or rmvb files into MP4. D/L is free.

Depends on the specs. If higher quality sought, file size will be bigger. Usually MP4 makes file size smaller (e.g. from avi)

Hi there, I've used WINAVI to convert RMVB files to AVI. I can recommend this as if you need to convert to files recognised by standalone DVD (divx capable) players.

I d/l this program for free once (freetrial) but after converting, the winavi sign appeared in the middle of my TV screen!
