How to Automatically Show Subtitles

Post by lunargen » Dec 6th, '09, 19:25

I've been watching dramas for years using MPC, and everytime, I just click on the video, ensure that the .srt has the exact same filename, and MPC would automatically play the subtitles along with the video.

But I recently bought a new laptop (with Windows 7) and installed the K-lite mega codec with MPC in it, and now it doesn't automatically load the subtitles. I have to manually load the subtitles each time through the ctrl+L function.

I know it's not really much of a problem, but it gets annoying sometimes when I do my dramarathons, and sometimes I load the wrong set of subs and inadvertently read a huge spoiler >_>

Any ideas on how to auto load subtitles?

1. Did you use the K-Lite mega codec previously?

2. Is it possible that MPC isn't compatible with Windows 7?

3. Is there a configuration setting in MPC that you haven't set for autoloading subtitles?
