[CDrama] Prince of Tennis (CCTV, 2008)
[CDrama] Prince of Tennis (CCTV, 2008)
I read on an LJ community about a drama based on Prince of Tennis, in Mainland China...here
It seems to have been confirmed for June 2008. A really long time from now.
Thoughts?
I worry, that if its a drama from Mainland China, it'd be harder to get overseas...

When I read about this I was like I think it will be really interesting
Is it the first drama from Mainland China that is based on a Japanese manga? It seems like it is.
I found an article in TokyoGraph about this:

aiya! noooooo. i didn't like the japanese movie much.. and now another. =S i think Prince of Tennis is something that should stay in anime/manga. some of the stuff is just too cheesy when made live action. well, i'll still see this even if i'm scared it might be just as weird. i hope it won't be too bad (god please!)

The cast is fairly good-looking......
but I don't know....I think it's the influence of tenimyus (prince of tennis musicals) that I already have my characters set by their seiyuus (first cast, second cast, on and on).
ie: Aiba Hiroki as Fuji-senpai, Kazuki Kato as Atobe, ect.
I guess I'm semi-looking forward to see this. and if this drama fails I'm pretty sure I won't be bothered by it. but here's to hoping for the best~

omfg, i definitely wouldn't watch this at all. i mean pot should stick to anime/manga 'cause it's better compares to live-action movie so now i read this shocking news that there will be a tv series that make me vomit. =x don't get me wrong, pot is really one of my favorites so i bet it would be another flop just like a movie did. .___.

I guess the cast are alright looking, though i guess onyl a few will actually be hot haha. Who's playing Kaido? haha I wonder if he's gonna be hot
I love PoT, but i wonder if it'll be a good drama, it'll just be like watching tennis matches....I actually like that parts in the Pot manga where they're not playing tennis better cause like when they have the bowling/volleyball/eating contests =P
I hope its good =D

Wah!!!! Prince of Tennis!!
I can think of several professional players who would make great attractive hunks in a drama. Several of the Spanish guys and also the South American ones.
Rafael Nadal is adorable and then lets see is it Antonio Lopez for S.A. Well they can all play tennis but they also have good chemistry.
Well we shall see how the Chinese heroes do on the court.

China?
That's interesting since a japanese film will be remaked by China?! I know it's not really a remake but It's also considered one since this has been filmed in live action already ,it's just in movie and this one will be in series. Let's see if this will be a hit...but we have to wait for long months
I don't mean to insult you Kuso_Baba but you should really read from the first post cause it said and i quote "drama from Mainland China", not Taiwan or Japan but quoting again "drama from Mainland China".
If anyone else needs clarification, Naguoki has offered 2 links which would answer a few questions about this MAINLAND CHINA drama.
Till next time, the resident obvious guy~
