okay technically my first drama EVER was when I was four and we were watching those old eps of Journey to the west with all our Asian family friends and for some reason I was scared from that show...
but my first drama during my drama loving phase would be 1 Litre of tears, first drama I bought was HYD 1&2 BECAUSE JOMG ITS THE BESTEST AND MY FAVOURITEST SHOW OF ALL TIME
okay now I am just realizing I have a very weird drama timeline..cause I kinda watched Full house in between somewhere but it was only the first ep so does that count..=___=
I should og before the brain collapses O___O

The first j-drama I've ever watched was Hana Yori Dango. My youngest sister was watching the final episode that her boyfriend had in his external hard drive and I was like "what is she's watching?". Then she was like "no peeking at the final episode, lol" and that she'll give me the episodes. The next day, I just loved the first episodes that I watched and began loving Hana Yori Dango (and Oguri Shun as Rui ). After that, I became what some people call "j-doramaholic"

I have a friend who is K drama crazy. Every now and then I would watch a few episodes with her, but the first drama I ever watched in its' entirety was Sweet 18. I thought it was so cute. So, the next one I watched was MNIKSS. I been addicted ever since. As for C Dramas, it was MARS for me. I still think it's the best C Drama ever. Barbie and Vic are my favorites. I don't watch many J Dramas, but the ones that stuck out for me were This Christmas and Cheap Love. If anyone has any J Drama Suggestions, I am all ears.
[quote="pandan"]GTO, when I was a young'n; my, how time flies.[/quote
I am new to JDramas, but I have heard so many people say that GTO was the reason they got into J Dramas. So, I deceided to watch it. I LOVE IT!!!!!. I have already watch 9 episodes and think it is so funny and great. I am looking forward to seeing other dramas that turned regular people into addicts.

my first Jdrama
Two words: Densha Otoko
this drama was the very first drama i watched and it got me hooked. in all i've watched around 16 series since mid 2007. despite popular belief, i think asian drama, especially Jdrama (sorry to all of you kdrama addicts=P) is actually good to watch, rather than an addiction, as some people believe.
btw, please visit my thread in the Life and Relationships forum, "Real-Life Densha Otoko Daisakusen" to read about my experiences as "prom otoko". Please give me your support. Even if you don't have any advice, please check out my post and see if you're interested.

My first Krama was endless love, God only knows how I branched out to watching Japanese and Taiwanese dramas! Lol I somehow managed to discover (my first ever Jdorama) Slow Dance after watching my second Korean Drama Attic Cat...and this somehow lead me to Hana yori Dango, after which I came across my first Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden (which many people referred to as the orig HYD) so naturally I had to check it out-and now I pride myself as being an absolute drama freak! heehee
peace out

Densha Otoko was my first drama i've ever watched. And wow! It blew me away! Though satirical, the superb acting by the protaganist lured me into the drama and probably imbedded a form of attachment to dramas and their bittersweet content. Since then i've watched a few other dramas, of which none came anywhere close to the impact that Densha Otoko had on me. If i were to suggest a drama to be watched... Densha Otoko be an automatic response, followed by gazillion of reasons why!
the way i got into dramas is super weird
i was looking for star wars stuff on stage 6
and the 1st episode of "star struck" was one of the responses
i watched it
liked it
watched the whole series
liked it
showed it to friends
and then they showed me more
and i watched a lot more
and now here i am
what a crazy journey

Hmmmm....*rubs chin*...man, that's a tough one. When I was a kid, I remember watching General Hospital with my mom. Of course, I was forced to watch it, but then you get pulled in because, hell, you can either sit through it pissed off, or have fun, right?
As for my first drama that I liked, I wouldn't know. Love watchin some anime, but I can't think of the first one there, so I'm just going to write that the one that I'm currently into is Fated to Love You. Had no idea what they were saying for 5 eps before I decided to search for a sub group.

Mine was Gokusen.
_Sighs_ If only I didn't pressed play. Ever since then I've been an addict.

the story was great! love how they plotted the story.... and remaining the virtue of being honest...
hana yori dango.
then after that i watched all of matsujun's dramas.
then i found out he was in JE. i found yamapi, watched
nobuta wo produce. watched all of his dramas. then
watched all of kames.. then i practically just started
watching all the dramas with JE boys and hot boys
in general
but now i just watch whatever seems good
edit --- oh yeah. my FIRST FIRST drama was the
korean drama "goong", it aired in the philippines but
it was dubbed and it was going so slow so i decided
to watch it online instead then i found out there
was a sequel "goong s" and when i was waiting for
the subs to come out, the girl i got them from also
happened to upload hana yori dango ... so it
pretty much started from there ^_^
sorry for the long story, lol.

I watched a few when i was young, like 3-4 years old but I can't remember those. The first one I remember was The Vampire Expert dubbed.
But the first real drama I've watched and paid attention to was HYD 1&2. After the first episode, I watched both seasons in the privacy of my room (away from my roommates) in 4 days. I was not expecting myself to become so addicted to dramas but now I'm always looking for something to watch.
