Sounds like you're a GNU/Linux fan, am I right? I'm just making an assumption since you made a blog with the GNU in the title.

I'm more of a GNU fan than a GNU/Linux or Linux fan. The way i see it, Linux (the kernel) is nothing more than a simple replacement for the Hurd (let's not get into details here) which I believe will kick serious butt once it's stable.

In other words: I'm more a supporter of the free software-movement than the Open-Source-movement.

It's always good to support free (libre) software :thumright:

It looks like you created the system yourself though, and the source looks extremely tight and readable - not a thing you see often these days.

I'd say GNU 0.3 - But yes, GNU/Hurd is also acceptable, though I do use Debian GNU/Linux at the moment. Havent figured out how to get my network up and running on my 'Hurdle' live-disc

that's movabletype. :)

movabletype is owned by sixapart, who also owns typepad... and now, livejournal.

movabletype is the one you can install yourself - and heavily tweak - on your own server.

Ah, okay. Still neat how tight the code is, considering it's generated. They care because I do :)

I had to vote for the second option since I cant bash population groups for not having a blog, if I had a blog I would immediately seek treatment for it, as it sounds like a really nasty illness somehow...

On the hurd issue...
GNU HURD Project site wrote: `Hurd' stands for `Hird of Unix-Replacing Daemons'. And, then, `Hird' stands for `Hurd of Interfaces Representing Depth'. We have here, to my knowledge, the first software to be named by a pair of mutually recursive acronyms.

How very poltically correct of you. I was however only amusing myself by writing like the stereotype of a blogger - a bratty teenager - when I used the words 'kewl' for good things and 'gay' for bad things.

Is okay... just nice of you to call me politically correct.
I tend not to be most of the time. New personal achievement there on my side

I dont mind blogs. Just so many of them that you can hardly keep up to date.
If everyone wa having a blog to manage, would anyone have time to read yours? hmmm

I'm sure my thoughts, opinions and poeticly displayed personal issues will change the world in one way or the other...

Actually, i just need to fill out the space between downloaded shows. I hate people who just close their BT client after downloading. They make my life crappy.

I feel you. I don't like it either, but sometimes I have to shutdown my computer to let it cool down.

However, I do come back to reseed dramas I have if someone needed it.

I'm sorry that I didn't mention it earlier, but my blog is probably NSFW and will likely offend most everyone. So, please don't go there if you're squeemish (sp?)

It was built on moveable type and it is super configurable but takes some moderate understanding of web design...which I lack. I'm glad though that I didn't have to resort to paying someone to do the install and set up though :)

I keep attempting to write a blog but they never ever last. Same with hand written diaries too. I think its coz I never have anything interesting to say.
I do have a profile on myspace and in the blog bit I occasionally upload random video clips I find on youtube that make me laugh for whatever reason.
Take a look!

i have 3 blogs actually: xanga, LiveJournal, and MySpace.

but I only write in my xanga one. I guess my LJ was to join those fangirl communities in order to download and stuff. and wells.....my myspace blog is generic. It came with the package....but I rarely post there.

J Drama Blog?

Post by rumpshaker » Sep 27th, '08, 04:02

This is my first post here on the board, and I tried to search around a bit to see if this had been asked already but I didn't find anything.

I'm wondering if there's a J-Drama equivalent to Dramabeans?

I Googled a few things and all I got in return was a couple blogs that haven't been updated in awhile, or they have one or two entries and the blogger has given up.

If this isn't an appropriate post for the forum, please let me know and I'll delete it!

Thank You

Try exploring over on LJ (LiveJournal)... http://www.livejournal.com/explore/. I keep a journal over there that's predominantly jdrama related and I know lots of people involved with various jdrama communities I'm a member of also write about the dramas, celebrities, music, etc. in their own journals. Also, if you visit the home pages of blog sites like wordpress.com (http://www.wordpress.com), you should be able to type in keywords like "jdrama" and get to bloggers that way.

Hope that helps a little. :-)

Hah I just came from LJ! I'm in jdramas but that's for videos only. I have a few communities added that are for dramas, but they're usually more k-drama centric. I was just hoping that some kind soul would have gotten bored at some point and had nothing better to do than make updates on past and current dramas airing.

I'll try looking in the tags! Thank you

I was just hoping that some kind soul would have gotten bored at some point and had nothing better to do than make updates on past and current dramas airing.

I'll try looking in the tags! Thank you
Start exploring the members' journals who belong to those communities... that's where people like me & others write about dramas that are airing (or whatever we're currently watching), not in the communites themselves. And, as you've noted, start checking tags. There are LOTS of people talkin' jdrama over on LJ alone. Good luck!
