Haruma Miura to star in "Bloody Monday"
Wed, August 20, 2008 (1:45am EDT)
Rising teen actor Haruma Miura will take on his first starring role in a television drama series. This fall, TBS is airing an action/suspense series called "Bloody Monday," loosely based on a manga by Ryo Ryumon.
Miura plays a genius hacker facing off against a terrorist organization. Michiko Kichise is the female lead as one of the terrorists. Takeru Sato and Hisashi Yoshizawa have also been cast in the series. The show will be getting tie-ins with tech companies Microsoft and Yahoo! Japan.
"Bloody Monday" has been lined up for the 7:56pm time slot on Saturday nights, starting on October 11.

Haruma's in it, so I'll be here/there/everywhere with bells and whistles! He's so darned mature for someone his age! He makes me want to write a screenplay just for him!
Miura Haruma is one of the guy's i'm very interested of. the first acting i saw of him was In akihabara @deep the movie. but i only noticed him in Koizora which i totaly loved.
also Takeru sato is in it he's my favourite actor good reasons for me to watch it.
I'm also anticipating this ever since I first heard about it! I totally love both Haruma-kun and Takeru-kun plus the drama falls under one of my favorite genres. ^_^
Only a couple more days until it premieres! I'm so excited for this drama. It looks amazing. And the cast is solid. Did you guys see the five-minute preview on YouTube? That clown is creepy...but I bet that was Nari-kun. You can't mistake that smile.
I have just finished watching BM
It was very very good and I can't await episode 2
but I'm a bit angry because of my parents I missed around 20 minutes in the middle >_<
and I have a little bad feeling about Satou's character when I remember the preview
he was shown together with Maya and in a morning show with news where Haruma and he were to talk about BM Satou said something about "uragiri" (betray/traitor)
and I'm not sure if he said that he's not the one
ahh I hate something like that
I hope Satou's chara won't be the one but he seems to be an important person
Wow! This was seriously intelligent. The first episode actually exceeded the hype and what an outing it was for Haruma-kun. I'm so happy his first leading role wasn't like a soap opera of the day. I love this Jack Bauer/24 approach.
Some parts were predictable, but that's because the Japanese don't have the same sense of "spoilers" as those of us raised in Hollywoodism. Still, the episode moved at a very fast pace and virtually all of the major sponsors joined the party. So much so that I'm sure there will be many extras on the DVD.
I've heard that the first episode is two hours special, is that so? It would be great, but on the other hand, the subbing process would be twice longer as well, I guess. Hopefully, it's worth the wait
by the way, with Bloody Monday airing, has Crows Zero II filming ended already?
****, first episode kicked ass. Definately not your average jdrama. And did you guys notice the high production values? Thought i was watching a high bugdet movie, this was awesome.
The pictures of the first episode over in the gallery on the website look so good! I can't believe how fast my interest in this drama spiked. Hope the raw shows up soon.
To anyone who downloaded the first episode from Veoh: is your playback working? I've got all of the codecs, but I only get sound when I try to play it.
Sigh...*headache* I hope someone uploads the RAW here soon.
I loved every second of it, and I'm sure I'll love it even more with the subs! Definitely some interesting plot twists even within the first 2 hours, and a handful of foreshadowing for the next episode or so (something is definitely up with Takeru's character).

Was the Russian accurate and understandable? Or similar to how the Japanese can't quite grasp English? I wonder if it'd be called Lussian like Engrish.

Russian was pretty accurate from, you know, the russians. Incredible quality, actually. But from, i guess, Kichise Michiko it was with a strong accent.

Oh, cool! I love to see how the Japanese represent other cultures and languages - definitely like looking through their eyes. Just goes to show that this drama has high production values.
just letting everyone know, Baka No Sekai will be subbing the Bloody Monday cast (haruma/takeru) on Tokyo Friends Park 2 (which will be airing Oct 20th). I'll make another post when it's available.
