Hai hai!
My goal is to visit Tokyo, Japan next year (2009)! I want to try out all the foods they have....
I'd love to go to France, Italy (Florence, especially), Greece, Spain, England....
For the US, I think NYC.
For Asia, I'd like to go to South Korea besides Japan.
That's all The rest of the countries can wait.

It's my dream to live in South Korea and teach kids english... So obviously my first choice would be South Korea.
1: South Korea
2: Japan- It's just one of those places that it seems like EVERYONE HAS to visit at some point in their life. I want to go to see, this sounds nerdy, how much more advanced they are than the rest of the world in their cities!
3: China- Visit the Forbidden City [temple?]
4: Tawain- From the dramas, it looks like a gorgeous place!
5: French- Test out my French speaking skills and visit the Louve!!

Japan has cheap tech stuff? The last time I went there the things I looked at, a lot of the things were expensive. Even now Japan seems expensive. I want to go to Japan again and visit my relatives, , but waiting for the right time, hoping that the price will drop a bit in Japan. I also want to go to some places in the States, Europe, Korea, Australia, and many other destinations.core2quadcore wrote:Japan - lots of cheap tech stuffs ,kawaii onna, sugoi pagodas

JAPAN - or better Tokyo, well you could put me in a Takarazuka theater and give me a broom to wipe the stage after a performance I WOULD BE HAPPY [seriously though I want to move to Japan for life]
NYC - not a country but IT is the city that doesn't sleep
Australia to meat my friends.
Monaco -for a Formula 1 grand prix
Countries I have already visited:
Italy for 6 days
Cyprus for 6 days
Netherlands for 10 days
Czech Republic for 4 and a half months [as an exchanged student]
Germany twice one day each
Poland for a week.
and I am originally from Greece.

I want to travel around the world!
really there are so many places I want to see.
For a longer time I want to stay (and if everything goes OK then I will stay there for the rest of my life) to Japan.
(Again if all the paperwork goes all right) I´m going to Japan this summer for 5 weeks. I think it´s enough long time to understand how much I love Japan.

agree. i just love the history. every building tells history. it's not like tokyo where everything is modern. even japan, i love the historic sights better than the city. i mean i grew up in a big city, so i can see the city any day, i want something different.masha08 wrote:I'd say France and the United Kingdom. Actually when I'm done here I'll probably stay in Japan for a few months...if I like it then I might stay for a couple of years. But like you said, wouldn't stay in the city. My interest in Japan have always lie in the more rural areas, specifically the mountain regions. Probably why I'm known as the hermit in the online gaming community.HongKongChick wrote:agree. i just love the history. every building tells history. it's not like tokyo where everything is modern. even japan, i love the historic sights better than the city. i mean i grew up in a big city, so i can see the city any day, i want something different.masha08 wrote:I'd say France and the United Kingdom. Well, I would love to go to as many places as possible, but my top would be South Korea, Japan (although I'd keep away for now), Czech Republic and also Russia.
Blame korean and japanese dramas and movies, the anime "Monster" (Czech Republic) and the Syberia games (sort-of-Russia) for beginning all these obsessions.
I've spent so much time watching videos and photos of these places. And documentaries, when I could get them on TV. If I do have money and fitness one day, I'll go.
Although I'll probably start from countries where certain ladies live. Some of em are pretty close and I don't need to be rich to visit. But yeah, the rest, someday...

I advise you to not to go to Russia. Especially those rural areas.Orion1986 wrote:Well, I would love to go to as many places as possible, but my top would be South Korea, Japan (although I'd keep away for now), Czech Republic and also Russia.

After High school, I'm planing on moving elsewhere, living for a while, doing some part time jobs n stuff, then, when I get bored, move somewhere else. My first place should be Norway but only because of a decent job, then straight to South Korea. If I don't like it there or get bored, then my next stop would be USA, California. After that? Huh, I don't even know. Maybe back to Latvia? Canada maybe? Not sure.

Just got back from Japan, Korea and Russia. Japan I had been to many times and I speak a bit of Japanese, but the highlight was Korea, we only were in Busan, but that was nice. Someone asked me why I was laughing and I said that I felt like I was in a Kdrama, just hearing the language all around me. I hit some of the sites from "Stars Lover". I want to go back, NOW.
Pacific coast Russia sucks, you feel like it is the USSR. Baltic Sea Russia, on the other hand (Saint Petersburg) is absolutely beautiful.
My pipe dream is Peru with Mach Pichu.

I love to visit Paris, I really want to see the Eiffel tower and also other beautiful places in Paris, and I also love to visit Thailand and China, and explore their foods.

Paris (France as we talk about countries and Paris for sure did not declared itself free country even if you sometimes can have this feeling) is overrated believe me, I live here from some time! I prefer Japan with Kyoto and Tokyo (just for starters) any time
Vietnam, Lhaos, Cambodia as I'm a bit afraid how long I can wait still. Not the best countries in preserving their monuments. And I'm looking for companion as not very safe as well..
Going to China and Taiwan this year so partialy out of quotation

If I can travel to only one country? The answer would be Japan! I'd check their "Supa" and "Depachika". I will visit Studio Ghibli, Tokyo Tower, and see the lighted Ferris Wheel at night. I wan't to experience "Hanami", "Onsen" and "Matsuri" from various region. I wan't to go places through the "Densha" and "Shinkansen". Oh! I will not forget to take the Nobuta Tour when I get there!
Aaaahhh! I wish I could go there someday! If only I could! (:

To all the people who want to visit Japan - never give up!
I had wanted to visit Japan since I was 12 years old, yet it wasn't until I was in my 30s that I could make my dream come true. I was in Kyoto for 15 days in October 2009.
It was worth the wait!!
I had high expectations, and Japan did not let me down.
It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, young or old, healthy or sickly (personally, I tend to the latter three ), Japan is an awesome place to visit.
Oh, yeah, just to stay on topic, I would consider myself twice blessed if I could visit Japan again. Hong Kong and Taiwan are up there, too.
