RECOMMEND AN ANIME/MANGA FOR A LIVE DRAMA

Post by zoroielli » Jan 22nd, '10, 10:30

Some of the successful dramas now a days are base from existing manga's or anime's, well if I were a producer of a big Station and I would ask you this question "What anime or manga is a good one to be turned into a live drama?" What will your reply be?

for me, I want NARUTO!!!! hehehe

I would choose Initial D or Wangan Midnight.

I've seen the Chinese Theatrical adaption of Initial-D, it was ok - but rather more of a fanservice and nothing more.

It would be great if they would actually make a Live-Action based on Racing themed Manga, however I can see some of the Social concerns (i.e. instigating illegal races which are very dangerous).

I can see Kenichi Tsuchiya and Nomura Ken digging it out on the touge ("toe-gei" jpn. for "Mountain Pass" - also a style of racing)

Wangan got a live-action movie already though O.o It's even appeared on the net too.

I heard years ago that someone had bought the right to make the movie for Monster. I have always thought that a dorama from that would be fantastic. It's such a great story and I loved the ending.

Ouran Host Club would be fun, not nearly as deep.

They have an anime thats current called kimi ni todake... I'd really love to see that live action... I wonder who would play who. Its drawn in the josei style so I don't really like the animation, but the story is so inspiring...I vote for that one

Live Drama...
Skip Beat comes to mind
Baccano! but it would have be on cable
Witchhunter Robin I thought it was ok but it did play more like a live action drama
"Anything with giant mechs with eat up their budget. I don't know why but giant robots in reallife just screws up people's budgets as in CGI not... people in suits"
MAYBE Ghost In The Shell
Cowboy Bebop
Battle Angel Alita
Getbackers would be hit or miss
Gunslinger Girl

I wanna say Wolf's Rain but...that fucker was just too depressing at the end..

and of course...even though I don't think there would be a budegt for it...
Samurai Champloo & Afro Samurai

Have the made one for My Heavenly Hockey Club yet? I love that manga. Love Skip Beat too, but don't know how they could top the manga, it's too fantastic...

Also School Days comes to mind, it would be fun to watch especially the final episode, but if they make it exactly like the anime it will be R rated.

Animes That Deserves To Be Doramas

Post by 2kwik2can » Feb 20th, '13, 14:23

I've made a topic like this in Aibakaland forums, & I'd like to know what animes you would like/wish for to be made into a drama.

So, here we go! Yoroshiku! :salut:

For me, I'd like Kotoura-san to be made into a drama. Also, Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai, Suki-tte Ii na yo, & School Rumble. There's plenty more animes that I can think of, but I might take up an entire page. :D

For me would be: Cooking Papa, Oishinbo.

Cooking Papa was shown on TV many, many years ago. Love to get my hands on it, if anybody knows where.

Yamada-kun to 7-nin majo - that would be awesome to see how the actors can pull it off. There is a lot of body-swapping if you haven't heard of it. Yoshikawa Miki's earlier work "Yankee-kun to Megane-chan" was made into jdorama so I can really see that happening. But as it has A LOT of kissing then probably it could only be released as keitai-drama.

Otome Youkai Zakuro - that would be awesome, but only if they do the youkai thing well! Still alternative history would be awesome to look at :D

I know Evangelion is beyond any dream, but would love to see Toji.

X-Clamp, I bet certain fandoms would pay for production cost. :whistling:

I'd love to see a live-action-drama version of Death Note because the movies didn't rock my world that much.

Sailor V
Limit
InuYasha
Captain Tsubasa because I'd love to see them struggle with all the tricks and shots that boy could perform as a midget already
