What Video Editor software do you use?
i like watching music videos especially those with asian dramas with music..
like the ones you can see at youtube.. i was just wondering,
what can you recommend as a good and easy to use video editor software
and can you send me the link on where to download it. i have Windows Movie Maker
but i dont like it, i have AVS Video Editor but i dont really like it coz
there's a banner in the middle of the video thay says "Created with non-activated version. www.avs4you.com" and that banner is soo annoying. i dont know what to do about it.
do you know how to make an activated version?
what can you recommend which is easy to use and free for download?
if you have a video editor, can you send the set up to my email or perhaps
give me the link where to donwload it?
thank you.

@adyhottie: By video editing.. anything in particular? Or just simple cropping off portions of a video?
If just simple cropping off certain parts but not make any 'fancy edits/effects' then...
You can give
VirtualDubMod
Takes abit getting used to but works wonders just need to read around a bit.. but if you are just doing video cropping be sure to set your
Video -> Direct Stream Copy
Oh and it is FREE, works with .avi/.mpeg./.vob formats.
I hope I helped a little... If you plan to do effects and whatnot.. then I don't know.

And I have always felt that Premiere is a simple program lolpacman99 wrote:for effects and stuff I use Adobe Premiere but...
1) it's hard to get used to. Can be complicated for some.
2) it costs a lot of money...if you intend on using cash to get a hold of the software
I mainly use VirtualDubMod + avi synth scripts.
For some projects I use either Premiere or Pinnacle Studio. But seldom need those two.
Here're lists of free video editing softwares:

I prefer simple avisynth (not the gui version, but the free script editor version). However, if you're not familiar with scripting, it can be a bit confusing. There are some useful functions, though, like info(), which shows frame numbers and stuff so you know which frames you want to trim to.
Or, maybe AVS movie editor saves a .avs file, in which case you can encode that file on your own. I don't know if they do though.

Been playing around with Avidemux 2.5 for long time. I found more it more and more useful now. Since it can handle h264 video in mp4 or mkv container, which virtualdub can't without using avisynth. But what nice that if edit correctly, I don't have to re-encode the h264 video like you can on XviD/DixV in virutaldub, which Avidemux can do too.
