*ok....as far as i read....he's good at speaking Japanese cuz he stayed in Japan until he was 8 years old....and he continued to learn the language through high school and college...Japanese was the first language he learned....he had a rock band.......and he likes baseball....he'll be in the upcoming movie with Prince Shin from Goong...and also he appeared in an MV for free cuz they were his friends..he's good there....

*the first time i watched Coffee Prince, he's the first one that caught my attention...there's just something about him...and i got hooked on Waffle Guy....and i don't know why i like boys with black nail polish nowadays(think Kamenashi Kazuya in LIPS PV)..he's so cool and collected in CP...and i love when he just speak Japanese out of nowhere....so good....i've seen photos of him for mags and in his catwalk and i think he's a good model too....and i love when he does smirk....refer to the last pic...i hope he'll get major roles from now on...i love his bad boy aura....  ...and when he flashes his rare smile in CP, you just can't help but swoon over him.....

mod edit: plese keep pics under the spoiler tag.

Love him in CP.....glad that he has a thread of his own now. For me, he was the first guy that I really fell for in CP love him as the Waffle Sun Ki. (By the way do anyone knows who the actress was at the end of CP who was also like him, I think in the end Sun Ki was intrigued by her because she can speak Japanese too) It's because even in that short scenes the looked good together and there was definitely some chemistry. I'm just curious as who she is. Love KJW.

This guy seriously
was about the only reason I watched Coffee Prince.

He is just too hot for words o_o
but he can afford to eat more really
the cheek bones scare me a bit, I mean if they were less
jabbing into his cheek skin I wouldn't say
but he looks seriously deprived of food.

Anyway, he has some interestng facial features for a Korean
I mean the nose and the sexy taunting lips xD

Love this actor.
He is totally delicious in Antique Bakery. Just put some whipped cream on him and put him in a box tied with ribbon and he's the best thing in the shop.

Did you see him in that overly long sageuk called "Kingdom of the Wind" It was an add on after the Jumong series. He was very different there with the grubby fighter look and the martial arts etc.

Hope he will keep to the straight and narrow so that we can see a lot more of him in future dramas.

Yup, some nice body... we have here.
But Bad Guy may be a bad drama, but I will watch it again... This time I will try to focus on anything except Gun Wook.
Epic Fail I see in my mind's eyes, but I will try.

Have yet to watch Bad Boy but it seems it might be the antithesis of No Regret.
Sort of...
Two great looking fellas however. Hard to choose.

I would like to see a film or drama without women but not a war picture. Not a prison picture. Just a pleasant group of handsome wicked men giving us joy. 8)

It's easy to remember, just 2 parts. If you have problems, put those 2 parts for the name together, like Namgil (-nim^^), Jaewook, Minho, Keunsuk etc. It's a name so no mistake in writing it like this, and it may help a bit.

Ethlenn, so are we gonna stick to the actors' threads now and off-topics in Keunsuks? haha that'll be hard, but actually all these other men deserve some attention, too!

janajee. I'm at least as bad as you are when it comes to remembering names. Maybe we only got brains for the visual details?! :lol

Even janajee shed off her prudeness for him. That means something, hehe...
But since it's Jae Wook thread:
Kim Jae Wook imnida^^

In Japanese:
Kim Jae Wook desu

With Japanese subtitles:
Kim Jae Wook hago Joo Ji Hoon imnida^^

Someone probably went too far, but...
It's official, I love Joo Ji Hoon, hmm... I guess I said it some time ago...

arakira, dear, it's harsh what I'm saying, but Keunsuk doesn't deserve any of my attention now. I'm done, it was a craze, I admit it.

Ethlenn, yeah, the craze is over but somehow i'm still interested in how far he's gonna take it ;)

I actually watched some of jaewook's Japanese appearances last night =) I love to hear him speaking japanese and i'm really impressed by his singing voice. Whish he did more original stuff than beatles and oasis covers, tho.

For love, he's still too slim and feminine, but he's worth a glimpse or two from time to time. Excited to see what kind of roles he'll get after Bad Guy. Some movies, please!

I would like to see more movies with him too. And i think he's too soft-featured as for me too, but and eye-candy nevertheless.

I hate Oasis, so this is his minus point from me for singing their songs...

Joo... Ji Hoon is... ? Hahahahaha

But those are some nice pictures. Favorites are the ones with the cat in the middle (even though cats freak me out), then the one with the signature (now that's how long hair should look like) and the one lying down on the grass (makes me want to sit there with him, and let his head rest on my lap or something).

You ladies can just leave him alone. I saw him long before Coffee Prince. He is definitely not that feminine. Not every guy has to have muscles all over the place. Only here and ther and they don't have to show all the time.

Anyway keep your sticky fingers on the real feminine one with ALL of the bling. That one you can have.

You're right. Jae Wook isn't feminine enough. He's a mere fragment of the shining, sparkling miracle of mankind called Keun Suk. But alas, Keun Suk is too good for us. We'll have to settle with someone not quite as wonderful.

But he is a man. He looks like a man, with a beautiful muscular body. No gorgeous man can match the beauty of our mummy, The Queen Gaysha of Sparkleshire! :P There can never be a more girly and promiscuous looking man. No one else is good enough.

Orion, I am worried about you. Get out of the sparkly side and come over to us at the dark side!

(I was going to originally write get out of the dark side and come over to the bright side, until I realised that it cant be dark at the JGS side with his sparkles... hahahahah)

Exactly. You have to dress each other and put each other's heavy make-up on. It's no fun otherwise. And you have to have the same kind of hairstyles too.

Aility, love, if I ever did go crazy enough to say these things for real (which would be as crazy as it gets), I give you permission to have me committed and/or shot.

Orion, luv, did you get my special Jae Wook hmm... package?

If that won't help, shoot me. Ok, actually, don't shoot, you can break my toe or something. Not too troublesome.

Got your Super Special Jae Wook Oppa Surprise and it did help a bit. I still want to smack Keun Suk awake though. The past was too good not to mourn it a while longer and hope that it will rise from the sparkly ashes.

I guess we can't force this. It'll happen gradually. I mean, if he remains this way, I can't admire him as a man and if his acting doesn't improve/gets worse, he'll lose me as a fan as well. As long as there's something to like, I'll like that.

But the things to like or respect about him are decreasing at a rapid rate. Looks and behavior/character are gone, so unless his acting becomes amazing, there will be nothing to like anymore and I can find better men and actors to like.

So become even more awesome, Jae Wook oppa. You're a good candidate. I really need to speed-watch Bad Guy for his performance. It looked like the best thing in that damn series (yes, I didn't even like KNG in it).
I really can't wait to see what he does next. He should go for a movie. A good drama one or thriller. I think he's ready to push himself that hard and I'm sure he'd reach a new level of awesomness in such a film.

Aww, I forgive you this.

So watch Kingdom of the Wind, I'm restarting with this drama (I dropped after 4th episode), but damn, not for Jae Wook, sorry. You can watch it for him, hehe.
Still, it's a period drama with a bit of fantasy, so... Hell, I like it!

And I would also like to see something that can prove JKS can be an actor, not sure if outstanding, I guess he traded this for a ruby set of earrings, but watchable and pleasant. Now, yes, he's an actor. But I don't enjoy it, and if he keeps on that level, I won't enjoy it more.
And we know what are the consequences of mine not enjoying...

Actually, I was saying I'd like Jae Wook to do a drama or thriller, but yes, Keun Suk would redeem himself with such a movie that's GOOD and a performance that isn't the same as the usual. We know you're nuts! You're proving it right now! Lol. So apply it to a role!

I wonder if he gets scripts with him as a Princess.
Dramas started to touch tentative topics, in Life is Beautiful there is the gay couple, and actors are not afraid to hug and kiss (still, it's no Just Friends at least), but considering it's a drama with high ratings and in a good time slot.. wait, where I'm going?

So, Keunsuk should get a leading role as a struggling young gay, I meant guy who discovered that his gender is not his true gender. Imagine this challenge for a young actor. Then again, with his charm, he could just blow it...

Now just a minute here. Whose thread is this?? I don't mind an occasional comparison but I really am getting annoyed at all the BABY BLING stuff.....Take him back home. :glare:

Jae Wook is simply DELICIOUS enough to stand alone and have his thread all to himself.

And I am unanimous in that............ :roll (apologies to 'Are you being Served)

Sorry, no more Sparkle in true men's threads. Or true actors thread, for that counts.

Damn, so little time, so many dramas/movies/shows to watch.

Kimechatta, I will rewatch Kingdom of the winds, just for Park Gun Hyung sake. Aww...
I haven't seen Jae Wook dongsaeng in the first 4 episodes, but... I will give it another chance.

Kim Jae Wook is a supporting actor and not a very important role. It was strange to see him in tatty clothes. He is not a martial arts man I think. This drama is supposed to be a later story about the grandson of Jumong(?) I think. Same actor who played Jumong.

Lots of sword fighting but even better in Jumong. You might watch that if you haven't already seen it. Get through the first or second episode to set the characters from the past and then away they go. Jumong is really good for swordplay.

But Jumong is so damn boring... I couldn't finish it. And since I like Park Gun Hyung, I will try to rewatch KotW.

Plus I have something for thespians, for stage actors, and Park Gun Hyung is currently performing in theatre in Seoul. (yes, both JJY and KNG started as stage actors, yesss....).

I think I will watch Antique Bakery again. I am missing the charm of Kim Jae Wook. He has that light touch that keeps that role charming and sympathetic.

I miss you Ethlenn.

I have to watch it with my mom too. I think she'll like it. Has a bit of a Pushing Daisies feel at times. Haha. It's an interesting movie, but the plot and ending does leave something to be desired.
I mean, they should have focused on the bonding between the characters OR the thriller/murder thing. Somehow, even though it was done well, it left me a bit empty. Just wasn't enough.
I didn't warm up to the characters much and I didn't "feel" the male bonding between them or the unity of the bakery "family". The murderer plot was good, but then a good thriller is impossible to do with such an otherwise fluffy plot.

It was just too confusing and the only reason I really liked it, besides the cakes which look yummy, was Kim Jae Wook which also looks yummy. :P He's tons of fun in this one, trying to get in everyone's pants. :lol

Antique bakery manga hasn't much more to offer I guess, there was a Japanese drama which was much worse, plotwise and lookswise. I think they did great with that foundation, but Orion I also felt left hanging and like wanting something more to come.

Kim Jae Wook is lovely here and but it was definitely Joo Ji Hoon who made me lick the screen and forget all about the cakes ;) Once he's out of the military it would be great, having those two in another production together!!

One of the things I liked about this story was the way the pattissier was so sure that he would get his man once he put his mind to it. He was quite persistent, but did it in a very light manner that made you smile or laugh. there was nothing offensive. Even tho nothing was brought right out in the open you just got the sense that eventually there would be a 'happy ending' as it were. Those guys in the cake shop really knew one another and were basically friends.

Who wouldn't love Kim Jae Wook anyway....He has that certain something that gives him a special appeal. You almost..I said almost...want hm to be gay.
He would be perfect in 'Kimi wa Petto'....don't you think? He is such a pet.

He is really a "pet", but he'd be way to tall and handsome for the "other guy" to look better. He's too cool to be cute lil' Momo with all his shortcomings. In that sense, Keun Suk did good. He looks so awful now, any guy would look better. XD
But yes, I got the feeling too, that they'd eventually get together. I mean, the main guy has had issues with relationships (I think one of the women even told him he's forcing himself?). That could very well mean he's gay but doesn't know it yet. :P
Kim Jae Wook really has a lot of potential. He's good. From what I've seen so far at least. He's got the charisma, potential in his acting skills and looks to be a hit. He looks quite down to Earth as well. A big plus after having seen what "others" turn out to be. :roll

Personally. I'd like him as a pet :P but I can't see him as Momo. I can't see him act so happy-go-lucky cute. Maybe it's cause I've never seen him play such a role or because I got Matsujun's Momo in my head...

Somehow Jaewook has a melancholic feel to him. It's in his eyes I guess. I agree with what Peggy said about the 'almost...want him to be gay' but for me it's rather want him (his characters) find a tragic end. Like with bad boy, I was a bit disappointed they didn't break him down and make him suffer even more - kekeke it must be my sadist side taking over

Joo Ji Hoon?? Who mentioned JJH here??

But I have to agree with ara on his ending in Bad Guy. Honestly, I wanted to see him dead, as they did with Gun Wook. Seriously. They just left him hanging on the cliff, no special future for him, as I see it.

The main guy in Antique was gay, he just didn't realize it until later. The last words in the movie was when he wanten Sunwoo to go with him to the gay club.
Anyway, I'm on my way to get Orion back from the claws of JKS:

Niiiiice. You should entice me with some Kang Ji Hwan as well. I've been finding him quite shekshy lately. Still can't let go of Keun Suk though.

Gorgeous men only distract me for a while. Ahahaha. Ji Hwan has a niice body. Distract me, Ethlenn. Distract me until I get my potato back...

Chop potato into chips and eat it with some wine. Forget it.

Instead, read 3-part interview with Jaewook^^ He's such a normal person when he speaks. With more sense than *cough* can ever come up with.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

It's not because he's praising KNG, no, no, no...

I think Jae Wook is such a sweetheart. He is a huggable person and I don't think he would reject an approach. Not that I would suggest anyone do that but he has a warmth about him. He has a friendly mischief aura from what I have seen so far. I think he is quite intelligent and he certainly knows where he stands in his own estimation as an actor. No puffed up ego there.
Some of my hearthrobs are ones I would like to see from a distance, and just admire them for their talents, because they would overpower me with their genuine charm. However, there are one or two that I would love to meet up close and personal to talk with them, and and enjoy a little give and take as it were. Jae Wook is one like this.

I'm glad I still can claim a youthful mind...altho it does go walkabout at times when I find an interesting subject. I've been wandering for days with Marco Polo so it's nice to come back to Jae Wook again. 8)
