well, i have been into Japanese dramas/movies since i was 13-14 and now i am over 30 by some years so just do the maths yourself. but i had a gap of some years when i was studying for my university degree and then got back to my obsession in 2003 after discovering my most beloved, beautiful and great J-actor with the name of Hiroyuki Sanada. knowing him was enough to make determine study nihongo and as i was working full time with little free time, there was no way going to any classes so i started it on my own. but it has been left aside for one or two years because life is just too hectic. or infact, i am too lazy to cut my sleep hours to study as they are already cut by my drama addiction. i remember days when i used to go with zombie eyes to work.
i still can't say which dramas i like more. i still love my Japanese and now i am loving the Korean. i have seen over 25 kdramas since i started last Nov and the thing that made me addicted to them is the love/emotions/feelings in these dramas are very intense. something that is not see much in Jdramas. i am totally romantic person and i love romantic stories (but not the cheesy ones) so when i saw YAB for the first time, i thought i found what i have been looking for a long time.
one thing else, i fell in love with sageuks drama more than modern life ones. i look back at kdramas that i have seen so far and i see most of the ones that i really liked are sageuks. starting with Chuno (till now i still believe i can't love any sageuk more than Chuno). i love the setting, beautiful sceneries, old clothings....
i do think that Korean can make a better historical dramas than Japanese.
