Ohoku (2010)

Post by akisu » Jan 6th, '11, 14:27

It's seems that there is nothing on the internet about this movie, excluding summaries. No DVD release for raw rips yet?

If you're looking for reviews or feedback from those who've seen it, you might want to try searching for "Ooku (2010)" or its alternate English title "The Lady Shogun and Her Men". Personally, I found the movie a bit so-so. The thing followed the first volume of the Fumi Yoshinaga novel to the last letter, had a great supporting cast but it somehow struck me as an underwhelming venture. I'm quite sure that a lot of people would disagree, but I found Nino and Maki's acting to be a huge letdown. Anyway, I bet you won't have any trouble formulating your own opinion on it since the movie's already in circulation.

Yes, you can now find the movie with softsubs easily. I would suggest to become a member of Livejournal communities that are dedicated to J-Drama and Movies.
I liked the décor and costumes! The acting wasn´t really convincing or exciting. Nino only appeared to be his cheeky-self.

Exactly. It's like watching a little boy play samurai. It was that bad.
