Japanese SoTW Poll - 07/10/05 - Asunaro Hakusho

Post by jholic » Jun 29th, '05, 09:57

please note: thetenken seems to be on his summer vacation right now. i will try to take over in his absence. (i am liable to his expressions of displeasure)

i have added 'asunaro hakusho' to the poll. is anyone willing to seed it? i don't have a clue. if you vote for it, you're taking your chance that no one is going to seed it.

IF YOU ARE WILLING TO SEED ASUNARO HAKUSHO, PLEASE POST YOUR INTENTIONS HERE.

without further ado, i'm using thetenken's wording........

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU MAY BE LIABLE TO MY EXPRESSIONS OF DISPLEASURE.

06/14/2004: As of this date, the Series of the Week is now officially Japanese series only.

Taking nominations for the next series of the week. Let me know what you want to add to the poll and I'll add it. From this point forward only series that have a volunteer seeder will be put up into the poll. People can nominate whatever they want, but the series won't become a poll option until there is a volunteer seeder...

PLEASE NOMINATE AND VOTE ONLY FOR THE DRAMAS OFF THE COMPLETED DRAMAS LIST:

What is a series of the week?
Since there are now a substantial number of torrents on this site, we have implemented a "Series of the Week," where we could dedicate most of the bandwidth to a particular series during that week. This helps in a couple of ways:

1. People will know what series are available and have seeds, rather than just waiting and hoping for them to be seeded at some later date.

2. For those seeders who have DVD burners and have already burnt their collections to DVD/CD, then with the series of the week they know which series can be pulled off of DVD to help seed, minimizing troublesome multiple DVD loading.

3. Constantly re-circulates older torrents back into view, and focuses bandwidth and demand toward those specific torrents, rather than having people request series across the board.

Remember, D-Addicts was started for the community, and being a part of the community means sharing. If you don't share, then everyone loses (refer to JEM's dropping of Cdramas), and a good thing open to all may become a private party.

I take no responsibility for deleting poll entries if there are no seeds. No complaints, as this is a community effort. If the community doesn't want to share, then oh well...

I'm going for Asunaro Hakusho this time, because of it's 31.9% viewership.. plus I now have most of summer snow and it's got quite a few seeds now :P

Yay thanks jholic! ;) i'm helping out on the seeding of Maria (until my client decides not to, that is when there is a lot of other seeds)

I can also help seeding summer snow (except the last ep) if it wins.

My vote's on Asunaro Hakusho, mainly because of the viewership (that has to tell something :P) and because Kimura Takuya is in it (I really like Beautifull Life).

Other then that, I know both Summer Snow and Beautifull Life so there's no point in voting for those (at least not for me, plus they both are seeded on j-tv, something many people here seem to forget/ignore :P), and denchi ga kireru made just doesn't somehow attract me... Could be wrong though :).

I have seen them all... but i have to vote for Beautiful Life! Its the best drama i have ever seen and i have forced everyone i know to watch it! But Asunaro hakusho is almost as good and kimurasan looks funny in those glasses! 8)
btw: i can help seeding Asunaro, my internet provider is kinda f***ked so from time to time my upspeed is really sloooooow... but anyway!

NiXZe & Shinigami: much thanks for coming through and seeding 'maria'. i feared the worst - 200 leechers and no seeder. but thanks for helping out. i see a lot of seeds on every ep. will have to dl it myself later.

tavo & Soya: thanks for volunteering to help seed 'asunaro hakusho'. it seems to have gathered up quite a bit of interest, so if it does win, i may need to count on you guys in mid-july.

the banner's the best i could do. it actually came out a lot better than i thought it would, but if anyone wants to submit a better one, i'm all for it.

i hope thetenken comes back soon.....

Lately, I've watched too much dramas that involve kids / hospital / deadly illness / death that I have to take a break from them :P

asunaro hakusho

i'm a self-confessed fangirl.. so yeah, i'm voting for it because of Kimura Takuya. Plus didn't some ppl say that dramas during the 90s were classics?

they wouldn't be seeded on d-addicts, they would be seeded through the jtv tracker. such as when jem series are nominated as series of the weeks. they would be seeded through his tracker.

Why the change in the Maria banner? I liked the other one much better.. :blink

Anyways, I've been browsing this site and I do think Asunaro Hakusho is a good idea! Different from Beautiful Life and Summer Snow, it's poorly seeded.

oops, controversy on the banner.

next time, i'm gonna have to start a 'banner of the week' thread too! :lol

tell you what, if ANY of these dramas win, we're probably gonna need another pic (150x150). when it gets close to the end of this voting period, someone can just post one, and i'll use it.... :P

i would nominate something that i could seed, but i moved for the summer so i don't have access to most of my dramas. although i do have summer snow so you could add me to the list for that series, although you have quite a bit of seeders for it already. lol.

i wouldn't mind nominating Odoru Daisousasen or Ice World though, but as long as i've seen ice world asked for, i haven't seen any volunteer seeders for that series.

ok, i thought the new jsotw was supposed to start jul 10th.
i'll start seeding episode 1, if i should wait please let me know.

hmmm, after running the file through check, it seems it's only at 99.9%, so tavo, you'll have to give them the remaining 0.1% off yours. :D

Nice little drama indeed :)

Wasn't there supposed to be a HQ version coming out? I remember someone already posted the picture quality it was going to be, and it looked really good! Topic about the project looks kinda dead though  http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/viewtopi ... sc&start=0

you're right, MemeX, the DVD rip looks a way better so I guess we should wait for this new version.

how about we nominate beach boys then? the quality wasn't too great for that series either, but it was a good series nonetheless.

Eh, if the series can get seeded I'd rather check it out before waiting

yaay asunaro! been waiting to collect that one^^

I've seen it, it's a real classic..although:

not really spoiler now, but only read if you want critisism:

in my opinion the last few episodes lacked somewhat change or paste or something, hard to put into words right now..
