L'Arc is my favorite band! I saw them live in 2004 in Baltimore, MD USA! *___* They were awesome! Though, their Japanese concerts seem to be better, but that's understandable. "Did you eat crap?!" Hehehe....(You'll only understand that if you were at that concert, or if you saw the Live in USA dvd)

I can't choose one or two songs that are my favorite, I pretty much love almost every song they make.

I have their AWAKE Tour dvd on pre-order right now. ^^

Yes, the 2nd opening to FMA was their song, Ready Steady Go. Quite a few of their songs were used in anime actually...

And yes, I was referring to Otakon. It was the best Otakon I've ever went to too. I've been going since 2002. Personally, I think this past year wasn't all that great. It was kind of boring. I can't wait until they announce the music guest this year though. I'm hoping it will actually be a band I know and enjoy. ^^0 Heck, I'd go if they just had L'Arc every year, but I know that won't happen. :P I'm not sure why I keep going, since I'm not into anime as much. I guess it's just become tradition for me now. ^^0

And yes, <3 Aya.

haha
yeahhh thats the song i'm thinking of
altho im not all about the j-pop, i'll admit it's a pretty catchy song, paired with a really well done intro =D
i met a few people there, but i wasn't able to keep in contact with any of them
did you, by chance, cosplay anything? or do anything noticable?
hmm, i doubt anyone would remember me, but i played a violin first day ~

either way, props to those people who go each year. i get really self concious every time someone brings up otakon, i feel like such a nerd >.< i mean, i guess its ok for you, since you're a girl ~ but as a guy, its something i don't tell many people =P

i gotta say, though, last day, i happend to walk by that dance thing, and i laughed. why are there so many gothic-style people there??! it was nuts! i mean, blah blah, politcal correctness = don't judge blah blah. but it was pretty funny.

anyway, im done =D

Again!?! RAWR! What is wrong with them!? L'Arc just isn't the same when they're not playing together. I'm sorry, but their solo stuff just isn't as good. Some of Hyde's solos are decent, but it lacks the L'Arc...ness......feeling.....or something >>

I'm actually surprised they're still going. I mean, if you think about it, the band first formed in 1991, and it's 2005, and they're still together. Most bands do not last over a decade. And if they end going on hiatus until 2007, and then they pick up again after that, it'll be amazing. I was thinking it was strange that they were pumping out new songs so quickly, and then after Link was released it suddenly stopped.....

Omg, I just watched the AWAKE Tour 2005 dvd, and it was freaking AMAZING. L'Arc never ceases to amaze me. It literally left me speechless. Their performances for Jyojoushi, Ophelia, and Hoshizora were absolutely GORGEOUS. It touched me that Hyde even teared up during Hoshizora.

The only complaint I have is Yukihiro's singing during STAY AWAY. Blech.

Oh...it's AWFUL. Why do they submit us to that?! x_X Luckily he didn't sing a full song. It was weird, they had each member singing parts of STAY AWAY, and then when it was his turn, if memory serves me right, he sung part of Kasou 2005 version. o_O And then when he was done, they went back to STAY AWAY. Very strange. Lol.

But overall, the concert was so awesome. I'm gonna go watch it again while I eat my lunch. XD

I wonder if I'm one of the few L'Arc fans who gets angry when they do solo stuff. I'd rather hear L'Arc, not their solo stuff. I mean some of Hyde's and Tetsu's solos are okay...but even so, it feels like it's missing something.....because it's not L'Arc. :/ It's lacking the magic that is L'Arc. ;-;

Lol. Nah, I know what you mean. :-) The music they produce as a group is a lot different from their solo. I guess it's because you get a variety of their music, plus the whole group works on it, so it makes it a lot better. ^_________^ But, to tell you the truth, I wasn't too satisfied with their last album, I perfer SMILE to AWAKE any day, so maybe another haitus might do them some good? ^^;; Lol. I wish they would make a P'unk en Ciel album before going on haitus as well. XD

Aww, really? I love AWAKE. Especially Hoshizora; such a good message. Actually, I don't think there is one L'Arc album I dislike. There are some I prefer over others, but I enjoy all of them. Well, except for Ectomorphed Works. Not too fond of remixes. ^^0 Which is probably why I am not too fond of many of Yukihiro's songs; not a big techno fan. ^^0

Lol. Yeah, same here, actually. ^^;; It's not that I hated it or anything, it's just that I preferred SMILE. ^^ My favorite album would have to be Real. XD Oh, the best tracks for AWAKE would have to be New World, As One, Existance, and Twinkle, Twinkle. ^^ But yes, the album was great, but not my favorite. Lol! Really? Hmm, I didn't really like most of the stuff in that album, but YukiHiro's songs are pretty nice. I love how it's rockish techno and not just "dance" or something. ^^;; Lol.

L'Arc~en~Ciel's N E W S I N G L E!

Post by HYDE c a m u i » Mar 31st, '07, 21:02

As most of you may already know, L'Arc~en~Ciel is releasing a new single titled,"Seventh Heaven," which is set to be released on May 30th!!! *yay* The CD is going to have four tracks on it, so yeah.... You can also pre-order the single now!

They are also doing a single called,"Shine." However, there have not been anymore updates. All I can say is that it is going to be used for the anime,"Seirei no Mamori Bito." I don't know when it is going to be released, that is, if they even decide to release it. Laruku are also going on tour this summer, but they are not coming to the U.S., which really sucks!

L`Arc~en~ciel is a famous Japanese Rock Band that was formed in 1991 - Present.
The band's name actually means "Rainbow" in french, and they've released a song called "Niji" for that, which in Japanese, means Rainbow as well.

Great!! A L'Arc en Ciel thread. Been a fan of them since I've watched the Jyojoushi PV for the first time on an mexican anime channel, Animax.

Glad to know they're back with a new album. The "My Heart Draws A Dream" PV is a great video. Love the video and the lyrics are good.

I haven't watched the Moon Child movie yet, but my young sis said it's awesome. I gotta watch the movie this week before I receive a call from my previous company to return back to work, hehe.

L'Arc en Ciel rocks!!!

I used to know everything there ever needed to be known about L'Arc... I would buy every product I ever saw with them on it.. man.. I was crazy.. then I just got into all different kinds of bands..

L'Arc always holds a special spot in my heart though... I had a video tape of all their PV's up until like 2000 or 2001 and some extra bonus stuff of them doing silly stuff... I wish I could transfer it over onto my computer so I could share it.. I also have a DVD of some concerts and behind the scene's stuff if anyone is interested I can see if I can put it up for d/l... :)

I think L`Arc is a REALLY talented band, I mean they've been singing for OVER 15 years now and they still attract many J-rock music fans, Go L`Arc XD!! They're special, Plus they've got the hottest guy with the greatest Vocals ever  !! *Fangrily squeaking "HYYYYYYYYDEE" <33333333* <-- excuse her =P

Oh Please do!! I'd love to see all that stuff, thanx in advance!!

phew! I finally got it finished. That was a lot of work (more than it probably should have been so I have to figure out an easier way ^_^;; ) but I'm happy to be able to share this with all of you... I posted up a torrent on jpopsuki here:

http://mullemeck.serveftp.org/jps_beta/ ... s&id=37696

I can try to put it up on like SS and split it up with hjsplit, but that will take a very long time. If someone really needs it that way I will be happy to do it for you :)

This is a concert in 1995, so a very long time ago.. everyone looks super different (tet-chan super long red hair o_o) and most different is that Sakura-chan was still in the band, so all you Yukki fans, sorry.. no Yukihiro in this one. But feel the <3 of Sakura-san!

Oh and I forgot that I have a folder full of pics so PICSPAM~~

If Laruku had read this post. They might not be happy on the word "Visual" they did not consider themselves as a "Visual Kei" band, but as a pop-rock, heavy metal j-rock band... you can notice it in their song writing... they STILL had their heavy metal rhythms on most of their songs although they're more on the poppish side... Still Laruku's the best so far on most of the bands that stand out in the J-Music scene... :salut:

hehe I'm a bit surprise about her being Tetsu's girl... we all know that previously Tetsu dated ELT's Kaori Mochida... quite pretty as well. ^_^

"The Rainbow"!!!!!!!

L'arc~en~Ciel is my all-time favorite Jrock band!!! My favorite members are Tetsu and Hyde~!! And mostly all the Hyde dedication was mainly due to his vampire role in "Moon Child" (oh man, visions of Gackt and Hyde together *nosebleeds*)!

I'm a bit disappointed that jrock has been so overlooked by so many jpop fans...especially those who are crazy over JE <~ not that I should be one to talk since I am also a jyannis fan.

but for me, jrock came first before I ever got into the whole jpop scene.

^awesome scanning you did there!! I didn't even know PhotoBucket allowed such large scans. *O*

and as for KISS, my favorite tracks from that album were "My Heart Draws a Dream" and "Hurry Xmas"~ I thought they did a good job with this album....close to wonderful but IMO, their older works were slightly better.
