You're right. It seems to be a trend in K-dramas since last year. I'd hate it if my boyfriend or guy friends wear pink, but the men in K-dramas are so hot anything is forgivable. Korean actors whom I think look good in pink are: Hyun Bin (he wore a lot of pink clothes in MNKSS), Bi, Kim Sung Soo, Jung Kyung Ho, Jo In Sung, Kim Rae Won, Song Seung Hun. I don't even like JIS & KSS, but I'm being objective here. They really do look good in pink.

More girls approach you and usually there converstation starters is "It takes a real man to wear pink" (as long as your not wearing a pink singlet or tank top your safe from being gay hahahaha)coachrapture wrote:Pink has been pretty popular in Japan and Korea for awhile now. Last time I was in Tokyo a few months ago, everyone was wearing pink. It's just starting to hit the states. I'm not a pink type of guy, but hey, if you can pull it off, go for it.
Yea well pink suits some while doesn't suit others but i'm a polo person and got 2 shirts and nothin wrong with em
But now fad dying and since spring is coming soon looks like i'm gonna be shirtless or singlet only hahahah too hot to be wearing polo shirts u'll feel sticky

I don't think i'd ever be caught in a v-neck long sleeve shirt though my 3 shirts are like the guys pictured ^_^ But only wear too parites mainly coz i got too many shirts as it is already so if u wanna stand out in a party wear it makes u stand out from everyone just wearing industrie or diesel polo shirts at least from my experience but i don't think it would look good on bigger people i'm just pretty lean and toned due to sports but i think i'd crack up if i saw a really fat man wearing pink

yeah actually just a couple of weekends ago I was strolling down Michigan Ave in Chicago and I noticed quite a few men in pink ...x_XJules wrote:so true!! whatever, it's only a fad.. right?
hahaha.. maybe it's just because I just started this thread too that I paid more attention to what they're wearning
Didn't Kanye West & Cam'ron, rock the pink last year and it showed up in the hip-hop/R&B world for a while. It's not that new, just the average joe's kind of slow catching on.x_XJules wrote:so true!! Young Dude to be hip in Boston... Paper Denim & Cloth
Listen up, guys: It's September, the city has a fresh infusion of girls, and with P. Diddy rocking the white suits, Usher in pastels and Kanye West looking pretty in pink, the style bar has been raised.

Well korean people wear brighter colors...the clothes I see them wear in dramas (and at the seoul airport) remind me of the colors at Gap. Bright colors. A lot of the men like to wear white sweatpants I noticed.
This is unrelated but I was scanning around at the seoul airport and I noticed a lot of korean men like to walk with one hand in their pant pocket. I have a thing about noticing how people walk. another example, people from the country side in China "wobble" a bit when they walk. I can't explain it. I could probably think of soo many walking styles. Weird. Do you guys notice that people from diff. places walk differently?

lots of korean guys have fair skin, btw, so pink looks good on them, and other bright colors...lime green, sky blue....it's just a diff. culture so it's natural that wordrobe colors are diff. We think of pink as girly (come on, doesn't pink remind anyone of barbie), but in Korea pink may not represent the same thing. Just like red means fortune in China while it means the Devil in america

Wow, then most of the Korean guys I know must ALL have homosexual tendencies. *rolls eyes*cgozun wrote:Pink shirt can be nice on a guy too, but if he has several pnk shrits in his wardrobe, he might have homosexual tendencies.
There are lots of Korean guys who I know who wear pink. There's nothing really 'homosexual' about it. ~___~
I think it looks ho. I like it when a guy wears pink. ^_^ Course, most guys don't except for my Korean friends ....
In the 80's, I noticed some American guys wore pink tops and they weren't considered girly.tikleabubble wrote:lots of korean guys have fair skin, btw, so pink looks good on them, and other bright colors...lime green, sky blue....it's just a diff. culture so it's natural that wordrobe colors are diff. Men wearing the color pink is not a problem for me. Just as long as they can rock that color nicely, then it really doesn't matter much. If they're not up for the challenge to wear a bright color such as pink, then they should not. Hyun Bin and Bi both look hot in pink, so they are totally an exception. ;D

i love the bright colors on asian men, pink included, but i like them best if their hair isn't dyed, but black, it just makes that color pop so much better in contrast.
and i don't think it's girly, even if the guy has feminine features to go with it, for me it seems to state quite the opposite, sort of like a hot chick in a man's suit, no way she'd come off as butch.

So true, well Bi's not gay. But my cousin thought so. Really whoever organized Bi's wardrobe in Full House must really have wanted Bi to open up too much (like bare his chest). I also couldn't stand him wearing too much V-neck. Everytime Bi appears with V-neck, my cousin would cringe and laugh and saying that's so gay. I have to keep explaining to her than in Asian countries, that was the fashion and they made him dress that way. Not to say that she didn't Full House because it's become one of her favorites. After finishing Full House, she grew fond of Bi's style.jtlangel wrote:They look HOT in pink... hey, i thought i was the only one noticing korean actors wearing alot of pink and all i have to say damn do they LOOK HOT IN THEM. It must be a trend, i have always thought korean, well asian guys mostly can pull pink of very very well and look good and hot in it without looking gay. I am not being races or anything, but i think white guys don't really look that great with pink, some do, but mostly they look more gay when they wear pink!
I especially think, junki looks super cute and hot in pink!

Light pink is okay but bright red pink is really gay. Men don't look good in pink period!
The fashion in Korean dramas for women is weird...seem like the girls wear clothe that look like layers and layer overlapping each other. I don't like these kind of fashion. Maybe they are consider "designer" but to me they look cheap. Other than that Korean traditional clothing are beautiful and colorful, that's why I feel in love with Korean historical/period dramas.

Anyone who says pink is for gay guys is just ignorant! I think Pink looks great on guys and I wish more guys would were pink. Pink is a nice color and when a guy wears it just shows he comfortable with his sexuality and he does not care what other people think! I love that and I think it really attractive!getawayfrom wrote:Light pink is okay but bright red pink is really gay. Men don't look good in pink period!
