I like her! She's very natural. but she doesn't have a big part in initial D. Try "returner" she's rather young in this movie but it's worth seeing nonetheless.

im watching it right now and i started cracking up when shohei was cleaning his room adn then she's eating chips and it keeps falling to the floor making it even messier. she looks so different in stand up then in kindaichi. i thought she was cuter in kindaichi though. haha. especially that one hairstyle in The photographer episode. i wanted to kil hajime in that ep. me and my friend were screaming "YOU IDIOT!!!" at the end of the episode where she sorta confessed. haha.

i also saw her in Initial D...they dubbed her voice and i didn't like it. she's pretty. i saw her also in Stand Up...Stand Up is a pretty interesting story...i liked her in there. i saw her in kindaichi shounen no jikenbo 3 too but i didn't like the story too much so i quit watching it. she's cool though!

To put it short, it's about this girl who goes back to the past to stop the advent of aliens which will eventually invade Earth.
IMDB explains it a lot better than I can.

Returner was where I first became an Anne fan, though she was super cute in Kindaichi and Stand Up as well. I didn't really like her as much in Hana to Alice, perhaps because her character was not a super likable one.

"The Returner" also pokes fun at movies like Terminator or Matrix, and... An is a lot more interesting than Arnold...

Fear the penguins :P

But yes, Returner isn't really like any of the American movies with such a plot. You won't see anyone drink a Coke or a Pepsi, least I don't remember anyone. Haven't seen it for a while lol.

Wow, I didn't even recognize her..she's so big now.. Coincidently, I'm watching Aoi Tori and didn't know she was the little girl. Had no idea she still acted..

Hmm, I just realized the list from imdb lacks "Rokubanme no Sayoko", "Namida no Sprinter" and her magnificent performance as Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet" (agreed, it was a stage play, but it's out on DVD)"; no surprise there though, it's imdb after all, it's usually not accurate when coming to non-American (or non-Hollywood) actors and people are changing entries in the same ways as on wikipedia.

Does anyone know how big of a role she has in Nine Souls? I got it to watch her, but haven't yet because the subject matter doesn't interest me so much. Is it a worthwhile Anne movie or more of a Moon Child kind of role?

I have no idea, I've been trying to find Nine Souls somewhere... no luck so far.

It´s a very small and realistic role (not the cute type). I like the film but it´s not for everyone, I suppose.
In Kuchu Teien, Anne make a good support role (realistic one). Another difficult film.

Incredible and unique actress!!! Outstanding acting in "Hana and Alice" and "Aoi Tori". She is so young in it and plays so naturally like experienced actress. Fantastic!! Returner is also a good movie with her, it was the first time when I saw her. She made a good duet with Takeshi Kaneshiro. I'm definitely gonna watch more movies and dramas with her.
