THIS IS COMPLETE OFF THE SUBJECT OF J DRAMAS!!!!!!

A couple months ago, I saw a tv speical on these cool skirt in Japan and It was really popluar. Today as i was doing some research for something, for no reason no-related i saw this pix on some website,

so i was wondering if it is still popluar in Japan rigth now.....

O they are REAL, i was amazed, the first time i saw it was like, why are there so much panties around, then i saw that are just picture on skirts.

I first time saw it on TV- DATELINE . they were video recording a girl wears those. so i'm was sold that those skirts was real.

The first picture may looked real but the second batch pictures really look photoshopped. Look at the materials of those skirts, it just doesnt look real at all.

The pictures are obviously photoshopped. The cops would mostly likely disaprove of such skirts if they saw one (students would not be able to wear one either) so it's obvious that such things would not be worn, especially indoors like the grocery store. Sorry, but, unfortunatley, not true.

And...how would that be sexism (I hope people talk about this) unless the girl was forced to do it? And, still, that's not sexism, but an entirely different matter. Dimpy clothing's not sexism.

According to that site, the skirts are not photoshopped, they are real, but are not see through. The panties/asses are drawn onto the skirt. I'm sure it is hard to tell with just some pictures though.

If these skirts are a fad in Japan, it is probably just a small undeground kind of thing-kind of like nevada-tan. I promise that the average japanese girl will not wear these things(whether they are really see through or not)-kind of like bondage gear in the US.

And I seriously have no idea why some idiots here think these things are sexist? No one is forcing people to wear these things. In fact it is more sexist to say that people shouldn't be wearing because you are defining how females are and are not allowed to dress. it's fake, no one i know in japan knows this, has ever seen it, and i have spent a ton of time there, and trust me, id notice a translucent skirt. there is no fad. why cant people accept that?

i told you before its not fake. ITS THE REAL THING though it may not look like what your eyes thought it was. its only a skirt that has a pantie printed at the back so it looks like it is a see through skirt like what others told you. if you still dont believe us then be it.

Panty machines are pretty rare nowadays, though. There are still some around, but they're pretty hard to find and are generally in places where lots of doinks hang out. One of doinkies' LJ friends in Japan searched high and low for a panty vending machine one night, just to take a picture of one, and it took a while before she could find one. They may have been more common back in 1993 when that article was written though.

A while a go I reported that the Tokyo metropolitan government was going to implement a ban on the selling of used underwear. Well, from today’s reports, it seems that the bill will be submitted next Wednesday.

After its introduction, those caught selling underwear previously worn by anybody under 18 could be fined up to 500,000 yen (2,500 pound). And those found buying such products could get hit with a slightly reduced (but still hefty) fine of 300,000 yen (1,500 pound). Even those merely providing space for any such transaction will be similarly punished.

Whilst I knew this day would eventually come, it’s with a heavy heart that I am now forced to bow out of this most lucrative of markets. So from today it’s sale time - everything must go. As stocks become low, I will sell to the highest bidder. And up until the end I will stick by my tried and trusted policy.

Yep. they passed a law about those things last year. No more new or used underwear machines are around (except for in the red light areas) and the shops have been closed up.

Girls did it as a quick fix for money, and I don't know why people bought them.

Japan has been trying to clean up it's "image" with crackdowns on the sex industry, especially in Shinjuku. Of course, this stuff is still around, they've just migrated from the bigger areas.

As for the skirts, yea, those are fake. Although, sometimes, they'll actually make up and coming idols wear completely see-through outfits and go through town doing normal things to incite some sort of reaction from every day folks. Things like that are popular for comedy shows such as LonHa and MechaIke.
